Best Extoll Poems

Premium Member Voice of Poetry

Adorable, enticing as beauteous glance,
Engaging, evocative as a ballet dance
Luring passions flaunting moody stance;
Poetry is music strumming from heart,
Lyrics of life emblazoned in poetic art.

It’s a smile of Venus on moonless night,
Ruby rose abloom midst wintry plight;
Verses of harmony embossed in rhyme
Of wisdom, witty words, eternal as time,
Expressions of mind streaming sublime.

Poetry is nourishment to vacuous soul,
Meaningful words inner voices extoll,
Metaphors, simile, elusive moods cajole;
Musings inimitable~ we cannot clone,
Neither can we cage, nor can we own.

Endearing, amiable~ it’s ballad of love,
Pure, passionate, as cooing of a dove;
A lighthouse guiding ships through dark,
On vacant thoughts, enlightened spark,
Charming dismal morn, a song of lark.

Premium Member meh, said God -

he stood …

atop another world
another …
promethean creation
ineffable beauty and innovation spread at his
feet like a glorious carpet of progress
a macrocosm of concept and imagination
that surprised even HIM
he had, again, exceeded his own
undefinable ingenuity and prospect
and the result took his breath
but are gods truly thus if
they’re unpredictable
stochastic, even -
if they’re capable of astonishment?!?
he must have expected this
deep-down …
what’s the point of genesis
if it’s not to improve
or at least applaud?
he spread his arms and gaze
swept it all in with a breath
such incredible accomplishment
such grace and grandeur
yet …
now must come the little creatures
to behold it all
to adulate and worship
to extoll what was to him but a
waggle of his finger
poor little things
he pitied them, really
(though he thought THEM marvels … once)
to be so … insignificant -
so lamentable and small and … well …
limited …
but they DID serve an objective
for without their rather pathetic existence
he’d be left with a question
unanswerable
only one …

why??

My Penchant

To 32
What a way to appear on screen
With cascadic hair open umpteen
Wishing me on the festival of lights
Giving me extreme delights
Oozing with passion from looks I say
Glittering with fervour come what may
As name means the gracious one
Let me wish thee in ton
My joy multiplies due to greetings thine
Out of blue I verse just fine
After a huge hiatus we are together
Let’s save the bond ever after
This being the festive month
Has also seen thee taking birth..!!

To vt
Last night missed thy profile pic in yellow
Had I shot it, it’d have been a delight lo..!
At least today you install it
I look at the portrait so sweet
Wishing you the happiest festival of lights
Thy eyes itself are twin delights
The way you decorated thy porch
It seems you’re an angel arch
Blessed with looks of divinity
You excel in all chores pretty
Interior design or can control
None can ever match thy role
A Brahmin belle with Telangana twang
I devote thee this poetic song..!!

To subhashini
In pink attire ethnically adorned
Lamps lit by angel epitomized
With effervescent grin by graceful
Blesses me in a way lavish full
Glaring presence in my life sweet
Gloriously gleam in her grin glint
Falling short of words apt
To extoll this ‘sweet speaker’ intact
With plate full of lamps luminant
The belle in pink blue is valiant
As if my Lord Goddess has come down
To bless me this dynamic dawn
Accept my prostrations o divine belle
Want to be under thy charming spell..!!

To sjt
Looking gorgeously graceful
Jaw dropping is thy skill full
Creamlike colour adores thy neck
Thou are my Goddess I beck
Let me drive my poem home
Up to second I verse alone
Thy every shed is my subject
Surely makes you do reflect
Classic charm belongs to thee
And it just makes me verse spree
Motherly aura suffuses everywhere
When you give grin superior
Fortunate I’m extremely Deep
As you light the lamps in heap..!!

To mum3
Want to verse on thee
Trust me so immensely
Being my Lord Goddess
You’re ruling me I assess
I’m in thy charm to to
Seeing you as IAS is my motto
Through verses I can show
You thy real power so
Never underestimate I request
For you deserve the best..!!

Premium Member Whoo Hooooo - a Song

Born here girl, I swear I’m never coming back,
Too light town got lost beside a railroad track,
Rhythm of the rails inside my gunny sack,
There may be no cure for what it is I lack,
Promises to be my nymphomaniac,
Sugar pills can’t cure the pain of lumberjack,
And I’m gone, Whoo Hooooo, so gone!
Whoo Hooooo, no tears, Whoo Hooooo!

Where I’m going girl you cannot come along,
Barely have the room for even Country song,
Never really meant to ever treat you wrong,
Though this may seem mean I ain’t no Vietcong,
Trying hard to never be your enemy,
Truth just isn’t always what we want to see,
And I’m gone, Whoo Hooooo, so gone!
Whoo Hooooo, no tears, Whoo Hooooo!

Trains just keep on rollin’ don’t care what they do,
Following steel ribbons till the day is thru,
Hope I can do better choosing my guru,
Life can sometimes steer us down wrong avenue,
Still a song could be the way to set things right,
Music that comes on to me without a fight,
And I’m gone, Whoo Hooooo, so gone!
Whoo Hooooo, no tears, Whoo Hooooo!

Homeless boy just singing what he feels inside,
I ain’t asking no one to give me a ride,
Not too proud to make use of a coming tide,
Don’t give a rat’s ass for life that’s amplified,
No need to extoll a lie that’s right for you,
Caring for my own is all I need to do,
And I’m gone, Whoo Hooooo, so gone!
Whoo Hooooo, no tears, Whoo Hooooo!

Hope, Harmony, Enlightenment

Hope the awakening  of our soul
Opening our mind to awareness
Pushing away despair to atoll,
Enjoy the harmony no longer careless

Helping those that need a hand
At sometime we all need a friend
Remember life isn't always as planned
Make peace within yourself instead
Old hopes need to be re-planted in their bed
Nuance of enlightenment to extoll
Yes harmony is the best way ahead

Study the victim's tarnished soul

Study the capitalist's whole

Study the bridgework of pride's cull

Premium Member Corporate Garden

In the corporate garden
you are always given choices.
In fact, the denizens of the garden
extoll their life of choices.

The choices are of products
and the means by which you buy them.
Shiny lifestyle choice is fixed in aspect,
and on the list, morality, is not an item.

In the corporate garden
you are asked to bite an apple,
and the results, of course, when
you bite you're heaven's double.

In the corporate garden
you'll learn a brand new tongue
to replace your ancient heathen
one that sings your family song.

In the corporate garden
your time will always be filled
to drive out leisure time when
contrary thoughts are formed.

In the corporate garden
you will compete with your
own brothers to win
your corporate goals.

In the corporate garden
community is a banned word,
instead teamwork's enforced when
weaker brothers get the sword.

In the corporate garden
the apple you will bite,
and drive out of the garden
all of those who are not "right"

Gift of the Gifted

For every person in need,
Exists another bathing in greed.
There is always enough to go around,
Why does poverty knowingly abound?

Ask about gifts no strings attached,
The giver will reminisce of joy unmatched.
The gifting action gives one pleasure,
Often returned in infinite measure.

While some exist to extoll and deceive,
Those in true need should not believe,
Asking for help is a sign of weakness,
Piercing the gift of humility and meekness.

In a perfect world, need would not exist,
This world is choked with opportunity missed.
The ability to give, is plagued with doubt.
While the propensity to ask singles out.

Judgement should be reserved for the gifted,
Givers should not bear this burden shifted.
Give as much and as often as can be beared,
All that has been given is meant to be shared.

Despondency

You may withdraw yourself from others
Become quiescent or lackadaisical
Disrupt sleep or appetite alter
Feel sluggish or delirious

When the echoes of your parents'altercations
Rack up your eggshell mind
When you avoid people whose company
You've typically rejoiced relishing

Yet you remain part of the quotidian process
That regaling you would your emotions trivialize
The world should revere your right
To confront a loss thouroughly

Convalesce from their turgid prosperity
Immerse your weighty dejections
Schedule some constructive episodes
I can but accolade your approach

To coin a new gist of aliveness
Absorb and merriment apprize
Amend lamenting into cleansing
Strike a joke or be sarcastic

Amass and boast your high-pitched impetus
And above all your insights vitalize
Extoll your bewitching sorcery
And perceive a world better to be.

Weeping Willow: Pilllar of the Billowy Strand

Billowy mast with fluttering sails
Along copse strand your arched brow wails
Brigand bough stretching from stem to stern doth vigor extoll
Your steady rudder anchored to the tenuous shoal
Your searching roots navigate through availing streams
Nutrient-rich moisture funnels through your porthole
Sprouting tendrils spurt through your balmy seams
Gallant pennants on your burnished deck stroll
Your brackish-green banner with new luster beams
From each slender trelis, a fruitful pod springs
Lance-like talons form arcing shield that in the soaring breeze swings
In the swaying breeze, each pleated eave solemnly sings
A plush perch your feathery reams dole
A quilted cover for all who under your velvety loft troll

Fabus Indulcet Fames

by Michaelw1two

 Worrisome ways is hunger’s wile,
 the body swoons as in the pot water boils;
 the idea stirs, steam fills the air,
 alas alone, in the water’s rip hunger rides;
 a pinch of salt, and nothing else,
 this mournful dish, a daily task seen to end;
 the dream is stirred, the lid is closed,
 the mind awash with thought’s taste of hunger’s grind;
 meal’s essence, now made of life’s dreams,
 catch the tired soul in visions of days long past;
 the spices, meats, and vegetables,
 that in lost times, so graced the watery brine;
 this aging hand again now stirs,
 the pot of water, salt, and broken down dreams;
 such emptiness, in empty hands,
 in this moment’s mourn, an elder’s teardrops fall;
 to this point, comes America,
 land now awash in exclusionary ways;
 there is nothing else left to share,
 except end of life, for each of profit’s slaves;
 yes, this picture so sorely fits,
 at fifty or so, the masses kneel and die;
 to this within this lands divide,
 those that have, are not charitable at all;
 they will to see the people cry,
 and those below them, crushed between hunger’s claws;
 this is no fallacy, all know,
 in each community, hunger’s lines go long;
 prices rise, and quality wanes,
 a pound of ground, equal to gallon of gas;
 these aged hands again now stir,
 the water’s boil, shakes and rattles the pot’s top;
 to add to this, again one dreams,
 a families meal, made for all in better times;
 tap water and salt, nothing else,
 the meal for each, who could not play profit’s game;
 only in America, no!
 this does exist, and further the numbers grow;
 each of US, know someone who falls,
 into the swirl of having to do without;
 so lend your mind to this extoll,
 make an effort, lend your helping hand to all;
 let no one around you suffer,
 be brave and more than equal to this great task;
 don’t wait for hunger’s face to creep,
 onto the narrowing paths you all now walk.

For crying's sake,
If I could cry,
I'd take a break,
Yet eyes stay dry.

I'll stem the tears
With laughter droll,
And halt those fears

A tarriff should be earned..When freedom is
Spurned, maybe for a year? A while.' A time.'
Till free speech and expressions can again
Here chime..Can ring..Can raise valid points
Extoll..Quite a blunt weapon, to let commerce
Take its toll.' Still by any means.' Unstifle the
Tounges, that would build and strengthen
All truths true daughters and sons.!

Augustinian Dilemma

Subconcious streams flitter through my silty porthole
Ebb and flow through my consciences' filtering scroll
Clogging the interstices and my formative, fragile mind doth control
Perceptions of self flood my sensory console
Pent-up desires breach mind's, shallow levee and over carefree banks roll
Carnal instincts bleach and, over time, corrode my chaste compass's steady pole
My soul's rudder listlessly through the choppy waters doth stroll
Delusions of grandeur and trite fantasies o'er my wayward ship troll
Teetering sails are blown about by truant winds so droll
Faulty navigation beaches my tattered psche on a barren shoal
Battered by the waves of inconstancy paying a penitent toll
Tunneling through the brackish bilge; a frenetic mole
Seeking to escape frollicking tidal waves that my froward, youthful mind did cajole
Sifting through the rancid seaweed that years of cresting tides did dole
Cloaked with guilt, shame stranded on a rocky, desolate atoll
Still vainly trying to justify my hopeless condition; my fleeting worth extoll
