Premium Member Unassailable Purity

Unassailable purity, a cognition divine of venerated mind,
Proffers promise inviolable, beneficence sacred aligned,
With force invincible emanating from goodwill of heart
Forming precepts impeccable, teachings benevolent impart.

Purity of thought and action~ a worthy and righteous goal,
Resounds indomitable from kindred voice of resolute soul;
A heavenly call of compassion, extolling sanctity of love,
Lifting tenor of gloomy dawns~ soothing refrains of dove.

Unassailable purity in life, a road map of directions to hope,
Sacrosanct are its valiant acts, vowing ceaselessly to cope,
Performing with mighty resolve, deeds inducing pride;
Serving humbly as invisible hand of irreproachable guide.

Assisting destitute is the sermon, tolling bells of prayer,
Beckoning the weary, indigent, to shelter and welfare;
Comforting grief of despair with words enlightened, aware,
Consoling cry of nothingness, bequeathing love and care.

It exemplifies within her selfless smile, purity of her eyes,
Reassuring her children, bliss of mother’s love never dies;
Its rectitude unassailable, eternal as the reign of time,
A gift precious, paramount to life~ ethereal and sublime.

Premium Member Sublime Oneness

Nature constantly calls to man through wondrous colors and endless song
As stewards of her magnificent beauty, to lend respect while yet, we're strong
Seek wisdom in her silent messages brought to bear as seasons change
So our children may inherit a beautiful legacy and learn to live healthily and long

Blessed is our world with four elements, earth, wind, water and fire
Given to sustain perfect balance, by maintaining nature's desire
They preserve these sacred cathedrals in which creation may freely worship
Wherein all souls may congregate, finding peaceful respite and aspire

The glorious sun spreads brilliant light and heat, as it feeds, it heals
The wind blows, wherever guided; dispersing sleeping seeds
And rain falls in the right measure to sustain in and out of time
As Mother Earth retains her fertility while blissfully she serves our needs

This oneness, so sublime, exemplifies sweet serenity which exudes
Reminding us that in harmony, we would long exist if peace, we include
Earth would remain a haven in the universe, where God's creatures may fully thrive
To ignore stressful pleas would usher in dark days, and life as we know, will elude

Twenty Two

Dedicated to a wonderful kind hearted friend Darren White, who is also an amazing poet, I have met so many kind and generous people here, however I chose to thank Darren specifically as I know he had a tough year, and even so he was there to assist me in so many ways. He exemplifies in my mind, to what I hope to aspire too one day. To just be ME, thank you Darren.

Happy New Year to you all!!!!!!!!

Gemoirs

Memories often come to mind
through anything that we may find
perhaps, collected in a box
stowed away as time tick tocks

A jewelry box to be exact
              is what exemplifies this fact
and as I muse in reverie
I see how much it means to me

A tiny , simple band of gold
bestowed when I was one year old
enclosed in my first birthday card
still lovely now, though a bit scarred

My first initial ring is there
on Onyx, Silver has such flair
the perfect thing I speculate
for any well dressed boy of eight

And then for graduation day
a lovely diamond came my way
it sparkled so to maximize
the gleam of pride in grandma’s eyes

I”ll not forget that Tiger’s Eye
a Christmas gift, the last goodbye
For grandma left us all that year
              a sad reminder resting here

So many gems commemorate
the years of love that I restate
they shine as if to speak to me
                    reflections of my history

The box is full of thoughts renewed
                but mostly full of gratitude
with one to add when I retire
          I think I’ll buy a Star Sapphire

A Poets Revelation

My rhymes are not to stimulate
Nor accommodate for the way you feel
But it is who I am
That is the admiration
Behind my self-expression

Regardless of imagination or fiction
It is the real world,
My real life
That flows from my mind to my pen
From my pen to my paper
And from my paper to society
That needs to realize,
When it comes to me
I’m just keeping it real

Everyday events
Seem to trigger my senses
For my fingers will penetrate
And they’ll be nothing left but
A harmonizing ring
A song that seems to sing
A melodic tune of what I do

I won’t reason my feelings
But I can analyze
And learn to grow from where I am
Take a look back, and not
Justify my state of mind
But to let me be
And let it go

A poet is not defined
By the clothes they wear
Or how many poems they write
But the impact of their words
And the truth in what they speak
A poem is not defined
By how long or short it seems
Or whether it rhymes
But how it exemplifies you
And how it is plain to see
That without a doubt
It could only be
The work of a poet, me…

I reevaluate the situation
And my infatuation seems to grow
And yet you still should know
That I’m real
That this is real
And yes, I still keep it real
And nonetheless,

I may never stop
As my rhymes continue
All my thoughts revealed

Premium Member Christmas Tree

"Children full of giggles, dance in excitement around the Christmas tree, a camera captures the moment." Quote by poet

The emerging day, a crisp fresh white nature
exemplifies early Christmas season.
Scent painted patterns of blue spruce,
Scots pine and Nobel fir, so many shapes
and sizes to pick from.

Summer long gone; snow lies upon the ground.
Sun crowns the pinnacle emerald trees
with each limb adorn with handfuls of snow.
Along the way, a blue jay perched on a limb
shaking its tail feathers, a red robin alights and stares,
making it easy to pick the perfect Christmas tree.

Dressed in an armor of glimmering tensile, cranberry garland,
colorful lights, and a variety of glass ornaments on its branches,
and an angel, stands center stage atop of the tree.
Gifts wrapped in colorful Christmas wrapping,
ribbons, and bows under the tree, a perfect cameo.

Premium Member Star Shot

She exemplifies stardust upon my eyes
As the sky brightens by its passing
Shooting across my tender thoughts
In between the heart of gold and love
She states she saw something standing
Right where the star landed downward
It was me in my only brightened color
Brought upon by the light of the star
I was washed in the reflection of the water
Where shining brightly was the powerful
Light from above, and she shows it
Gracefully, my life enlightened
She brings me joy again, upon the star
That gracefully shot by me
And left its mark
Upon my

Soul

The Personification of Success

The Personification of Success
Success when seen with my eyes looks like quilts, diaries, prayers chastening rods and lots of hugs, off to school and then to college even marriage too.
Success smells like pastures with cows horses and chickens in a coop, orchids in the meadows, daisy’s and pine and big tall paper trees and Squirrels running on the power line ; rabbits running through the bushes, smoke from the wood left from previous campers which lingers .
Success taste like a
feast on the table with lots of apple pies, you know Turkey with dressing rice with gravy , and a green beans recipe you got from your neighbor.
Success sounds like laughter, cheering and little children playing .grandma and grandpa giving sound advice; oh wait it sounds like my fast car playing melodies on the radio I like to hear; and my favorite TV shows and funny episodes.
Success I can touch it my with my hands, because it
Feels like real possessions from my labor, I can sigh with relief because of my achievement. I really work hard and do what is right and I am free to live good.
Success Is displaying charity through the lenses of hope giving with only good intentions asking nothing in return as was taught to you and displayed by people who have come before you ; for Instance, you recall your parents , Pastors ,teachers , mentors and friends. Their success exemplifies just how it should be.
                    The end.

Multilayered - the Cause Is Civil Rights

MULTILAYERED: THE CAUSE IS CIVIL RIGHTS!

How time has changed.
I am a colored woman by DNA living in a country of diversity.
I can remember my first day of school when my teacher asked me to self-identify.
“I am Native American”, I said.
In truth, my great-grandmother was Native American and I felt it was alright to
claim her as my racial identity.
Nevertheless, an N was written on my cumulative record.
Later I found this meant *****.

The third Monday of each January Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday is
     celebrated.
This poem is in commemoration of his cause.

***

I have the right to express myself in the United States of America.
I have the right to self-identify the best way for me.
I am mixed-blood from all borders of this part of the universe.
I have the right to be heard and to seek a meaningful life that is vested in a liberated
     mind.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is there
     to eradicate.
This has not been done as to this day.
I have the right to Civil Rights.
Therefore, I shall not be moved when the movement did not breakthrough.

***

The tribulations came from slavery time.
History of the white man crimes
Equality, equity, and identity deprived.

Crusaders depicted the cause.
Assembled for their voice to be heard.
Unity was formed.
Sources with civilian purposes
Equality is only the foundation that has been scaffold.

Cause I am endowed with inalienable rights
In a nation of diversity and pride,
Vigorously I dramatize
Issues of my civil rights
Legally being denied.

Right to a fair trial
I represent self,
Government and justice are on my side.
Human rights are in all minds’ eye.
To this country, I bring forth my freedoms... Preamble.

Statue of law exemplifies in that I have "the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of
happiness because all humankind are created equally".
Issues today are in a manifold
Sequestered by the lack of applicable law.

Scores of Malapropisms

It could be noticed in media networks
either on television or newspapers,
how some writers document issues
with scores of errors or buthered grammar.

A literature in a hurry, a scripted discourse,
it’s what many demonstrate clearly
both in written and oral communication;
a powerful medium with a sense of liberation.

A ubiquitous voice, everywhere in this land,
its tapestry gets stronger in its own groove;
like those commentators or byliners,
able to articulate their own opinions.

But certain things in different settings
how those people speak with humor
at times make blunders wafting across
the growing audience and readers.

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words,
that exemplifies a reality in action;
as an instruction from the Lord
this Hebrew word from Zechariah’s book -
Dabru emet : speak the truth.

The Best Creation Is Female

What kind of woman are you

Allowing men to mentally control you

To only be seen as a pleasure component

From most men your body is their land or playground for sin

I say land because your body bares tasty fruit men love to eat

No man should use the woman to mistreat or beat

If anything a man should walk a woman in the right direction in the street

Or into a home as his Empress

However many men would rather a good woman settle just as his mistress

I know its not your intent

For a man to play with your mental

Remember your body is made to be fertile

Worth investing in physiologically

But you allow your mind to be controlled psychologically encouraged by players & pimps

Woman should teach girls to see the real woman outside & conscious personality within

It's hard to understand a woman's excuse for stripping

Using a phrase "it's for college"

Not thinking men visualize showing your female body for dollars is just one of your problems

We enjoy to treat

But since your beautiful you should demand respect

It doesn't matter what level your living through an intellect

A females beauty has three phases

First its heard through the mouth

Then exemplifies through the personality

Lastly from the bright radiance of your smile & skin

That shines by the sun as a reflects from the face

Always know that your self esteem can always be replaced

With self assurance not insecurity

Know your the center of a mans universe

Planets circulate around you

If its not true then stay hidden I guarantee men & our world would not know what to do

Premium Member The Suffering He Bore

The Suffering HE Bore

We will never fully understand the depth of the suffering
that our Savior bore on the tree of Calvary,
nor the pain of separation from His Father that He wept through
during His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.

This Savior and Son of the Most High God we can surely see
what tremendous love for man he has shown,
Yet we can only scratch the mere surface no matter how much in Him
that we have grown

How can mortal man fully understand the way our God
even comprehends and thinks,
His infinite wisdom and the understanding He exemplifies as He
grasps the problems of the whole universe while we have only the time to blink.

When the Lord Jesus left Heaven for us and came
down to the lowly level of man,
it is truly the picture of a King leaving His palace and
taking up residence in a large garbage can.

And what about His honor and authority having His
angels snap to attention at His command,
then in contrast His creation was laughing and scorning and jeering at Him
only to strike Him with the back of their hands!

He, trying His best
wanted the good for man to see,
that He is Creator God Who has come down
to man’s level and with him He had chosen to plead!

Oh, at times, I know with me
I caused Him to be wroth,
while dealing with ignorance on my part
yet patiently He endured and finally I understood what He had to me, taught!

The Darling of Heaven as they say
came from Heaven to reside in the lowly town of Galilee,
oh, won’t you hear His call to save you as I heard
and gladly chose and let Him save me.

Epistle To Barack Obama

this epistle per mine choice of heir apparent presidential throne
composed from one liberal minded non-conformist rolling stone

prompted awareness that one voice can affect which contestant will win
and occupy the white house after the votes get tallied from political spin

aware thy missive from an anonymous fellow and a self anointed scribe
will be carefully screened no matter opinion already cast with nada bribe

personal opinion of this sole american male of two score and nine years
that barack obama possesses that je ne sais quois diplomatic state craft
despite disparaging broadside starring paris hilton plus britney spears

the land of lincoln candidate exemplifies (to myself) a charismatic charm
in tandem with a relaxed persona and gait akin per a commoner on a farm

that nonchalant easy going affinity speaks nonverbal volumes to this chap
cringes when espying or hearing from opposing challenger whose lips flap
meaning john mccain whose hidden motives and agenda include his trap
to plant seeds of doubt per un-decided electorate causing lead to get a zap

unknown how trials and tribulations rival democratic senator from Illinois
will weather local nor global challenges and said solution he might employ
i opt for said captain to steer ship of state and exclaim to drop anchor ahoy

if via cosmic divine intercession the galloping newcomer in this horse race
ushering biracial as nominal winner televisions would show a beaming face
the political ramifications analogous to betting square outcome on this ace

i gently beg, decry, fulminate counter attack advertisements fast and quick
against those subliminal sly messages that at first blush appear airily slick
and please reach deep in that magic bag resorting to retaliatory artful trick
lest burning from the madding crowd extinguished like jack’s candle wick!

Keats Nightingale

Keats’ Nightingale

The romantic poets were too early to postulate total atheism,
And so freshened up the church by aligning god with nature,
And I believe they had a preference for nature over god or theism,
Because they never posit him as social with high, tall stature.

Keats says that the nightingale exemplifies nature as active,
As bestowing upon all human beings meaning, sense and worth,
Since the bird’s song objectifies how nature truly is effective,
Fulfilled by happiness, and aimed at contentment and rebirth.

Nature triggers in us thoughts and words to settle and allure,
Offers us our language to dispel pain and find the cure,
And Keats contends that poetry, the credibility of its form,
Epitomises what nature proffers, a receptacle rather warm.

When you feel awkwardly suicidal with nowhere else to turn,
Nature lullabies you into your own sense, one you can rip and burn;
No controlled access freeways, no road signs for your safety,
Only soft, quiet communication that's never guilty of brevity.

Just as nature is beautiful, so Keats claims people as beautiful too,
As he uses the word beauty right in the middle of his nature exposé;
He referred to flora, the moon, the stars, the forest and what seems true,
Tnat song of the nightingale that's for anyone, as this bird is not choosey.

He suggests that light or positivity in nature means movement,
That the soft breeze dispels the gloom and mossy pavement;
Quantum physics does reduce matter back down to interactive particles,
In which kinetic energy can be mistaken for minuscule, motionless articles.

His mentor is the nightingale as part of nature’s whole,
No minister or clergyman to advise him on his soul,
Stillness and bird song scent his poisoned air surrounding,
And it is all but for the silence of that beauteous music, astounding.

Nature does not irritate him when he surmises and introspects,
But upholds itself in majestic grandeur with unquestionable prospects;
It speaks about life, your life, your daily happenings and exotic dreams,
And forever exists for us when sense is just not within our means.
