The young and naive question their fate;
expecting love, unprepared for hate.
Armored with lies, defending the truth;
a warrior lives inside each youth.

Scars and tattoos display anger's mark;
insipid badges, oft crude and stark.
When pain morphs into panic and fear,
hope vanishes, replaced by a tear.
