Best Equivocate Poems

Magnesium Love of the Write

Does it shimmer with confusion?
Quake with conclusion
Sulfate with the meanings residue
confound and astound you?
Does it rake and equivocate
Does it boil down and resonate
Does it shake your foundation and destroy your
condemnation?

If so your getting it right

Silent Whispers

I came across a path
I peered and wondered
Where's this leading to
Has life suddenly betrayed me
The silence of my thoughts
That says look within you
And you shall find
I came across a crossroad
Of vintage and dismay
I came across shame and disgust
I wondered in my silence
Has life suddenly turned on me
Has life suddenly flouted on me
Through the silence
Through the terrains
Through the commosions.
Who am I in this unravelled turmoil
Turmoil of the soul
Turmoil of the mind
Silent whispers whisked and smiled
Confide not, for it is in this broken dreams
that you shall equivocate
To eternal gratuity.....

I Am An Equivocator

Who am I
My subconscious mind
My subconsciousness towards
reality
Has made the unforeseen truth
Of my unforetold and unfolding
cohesions
To foresee the true identity
To the pivot of the see saw
The uncorrected conflicts
Even though life has been
unkind
Even with life's brutality
Life's constant casualty
Life has become a constant
battle of mystical deformations
It befriends no one
Predomination of mankind
The emancipation of the mind
Have made me who I am
My soul shall burn
To utter the real identity
Life's shattering perceptions
Of whom I should be
I've sinned
I've sinned against myself
Against my soul
Carrying soul triggering
burdens
Defer not for I shall unwrap
The concealed truth
That burns my soul for
I am an equivocator
Who swears in both truths
But shall never equivocate to
heaven.

This Space For You

This Space for You...

Darling, my darling, how I long to see you so,
Such a long week of papers, pencils and meetings galore,
Prepare yourself for such a surprise as you surmise an unseen row,
Thusly have I, justly I espy this space for you rose petals and a sweetness which
lies for you tersely in store,

A love seat owned which contains no love,
A meal for two but one undone this gustatory banquet an unaccompanied
contamination,
The tenebrous night a pauper's precarious glove,
An untimely immersion the dawn's perversion hope's demise this unmitigated
annihilation,

No skies for this fledging, a floundering fish without a sea,
A body with no heart, a gaze devoid of a glance,
A rhythm with no dancer, a toll with no fee,
Flavors bereft of any taste, a trust flailing askance,

My ring for no finger, the path that never ends,
Even a sound of silence unspoken, toiling bells that do not ring,
A card for no Valentine, words of adoration equivocate and descend,
This heartbeat lacking a beat, the stinger without a sting,

My gold with no luster, a ruby with no shine, closeness yet never being close,
A cheer for no victory, the desire lacking passion,
This vapid illusion broken by your repudiation an asphyxiation my final rose,
This space for you a tender touch I never knew the gift returned bleeding my soul to
her an inconsequential reaction.

My frail fragility falling before my frivolous failure,
Void this emptiness spaces yet lie sown these trivial ties,
A baneful blessing the babe inside upon sorrow's deeps I the sailor,
Underhanded by life's whim still remaining this space for you my harrowed brow
words untrue despondency your treacherous disguise.

The Worship of Man's Reason

(Let no trust be vested in men, but bind them
down with the chains of the Constitution)

The wave of the future for disaffected man;
such a noble experiment, our revolutionary plan.
World wide in scope, humanity’s salvation;
workers paradise, we’ll bring to every nation.

Utopia we’ll build, making all things new,
From the ash-heap of Capitalism and Monarchy too.
A socialist world is our humanist creed;
Securing the future, fulfilling all need.

That, opiate of the people, religion, must go.
Materialism shall prevail, all we atheists know.
From each, his abilities, to each one his need;
we’ve charted the course, the masses we lead.

Yet, the masses are dumb, they don’t understand,
so we use the whip, as we lead by the hand.
The firing squad too, for those who equivocate,
to insure a better tomorrow, we also learn to hate.

Counter-revolutionaries - we had to do them in;
required men to inform, even on their next of kin.
Mass killing for the cause, the end justifies the means;
starvation and deprivation to insure our lofty dreams.

Our collapse came too soon, we didn’t have the time,
to perfect our glorious system - punish every crime.
The proletariats were unthankful, tho’ for them we did it all.
Now, we find approval only in the western academic hall.

Tchotchke

My abecedarian fingers
Numb to their recalculations and lexicons
I brush slimly my thumb through each
And clasp myself in fives or nines

It sinks its full weight like an equivocate clasp
One gaucherie to an eldritch comeuppance
A padlock lip nimble and pivoted like sickness
Delicate but ultimately dependent upon timing
The human stomach is a pendulum
I feel mine pulse as cynosure cascaded

I cherish extemporaneous occurances
Empyrean palisades and medications
I collect as a dictator my tintinnabulations
Of etiolated tchotchke and clamp my fistful
Stumpside in the rivulet, Adamic clay bathes
Of my clasping reconnaissance of fives and nines.

Premium Member Tell It Like It Is

Once referred to as meaningless blather
Much of communication these days falters
In fact, putting the truth in a precarious bind,
We obfuscate, equivocate; often, lying at altars.

Much of communication these days falters
Why can’t we all simply say what we mean
We obfuscate, equivocate; often, lying at altars
Why not tell it like it is without shine or sheen?

Why can’t we all simply say what we mean
And mean what we say, so there’s no doubt
Why not tell it like it is without shine or sheen?
There’s no reason to get angry and shout!

And mean what we say, so there’s no doubt
About the points we’re trying to get across
There’s no reason to get angry and shout!
Half-truths and cockeyed theories are a loss.

About the points we’re trying to get across
Let’s be careful when expressing pieces of our mind
Half-truths and cockeyed theories are a loss
In fact, putting the truth in a precarious bind.

Let’s be careful when expressing pieces of our mind,
Few folks say what they mean, they’d rather,
In fact, putting the truth in a precarious bind,
Once referred to as meaningless blather.

Premium Member The National Hypocrisy

I cannot apologize that I am so consumed with rage
For I cannot control my urge to lash out in defense
When I see that those in power cannot turn the page
That they foolishly equivocate and straddle the fence.

Once was a time when our leaders did the right thing
It was our country that counted, not a political party
Across the land we proudly sang, “Let Freedom Ring!”
We were not perfect, but our union was hale and hearty.

Today, it seems we cannot come together to do right
And those who do their best to serve are castigated,
Seems Congress has nothing to do but bicker and fight
While important issues to back burners are relegated.

Seems some folks are bent on destroying democracy
Even willing to storm the capitol, to seize powers!
Personally, I am appalled by the national hypocrisy,
Of those who live like royalty in their ivory towers.

We are rapidly approaching the no-turn-around point
When our most cherished institutions are crumbling,
And though I try to be optimistic, not fan a flashpoint
I fear it is we, the citizens, who are seriously bumbling.

Refusing to take a stand for principles tried and true,
Following self-absorbed demagogues who bloviate
And who, touting solutions, haven’t the faintest clue
Folks, we must chart a new course for the ship of state.

Premium Member Monoku A Philosophers Song

In Judaeo-Christian cultures, when we equivocate, evil as
good, it marks the very beginning of our soul’s swan song.

Premium Member Outcry For Change

What can I do to stop this terrible aching in my gut?
And yet, I am glad that I have not lost my sense of caring
That something inside of me still hurts when others hurt
My heart is damaged when I learn of the callousness,
The lack of concern when those who have the power
To effect change do nothing but equivocate and preen.

I am appalled that otherwise intelligent people make
Excuses, putting forth arguments to support their cause
Who will do nothing…nothing, I say, to effect change.
What is giving up your AK-15? Nineteen children died!
Nineteen little souls, with a full life to live, are dead.
And what if they were your child, or your grandchild?

How could you live with yourself if yours lay cold and dead?
Because some deranged boy got his hands on your AK-15,
Some misdirected lad shot up the school where you
Or your wife worked, or where your children attend?
Have not enough children already paid the ultimate price
For your right to own a damnable assault-type weapon?

And if nothing is done, if there is no outcry for a change
How long before we go through the nightmare again?
Will it happen in the school two blocks from my house?
Perhaps the school in your neighborhood? You think?
No, of course not, it could never happen there…or here
In a small town like ours, like Uvalde, Texas, for God’s sake.

What can I do to stop this terrible aching in my gut?
And yet, I am glad that I have not lost my sense of caring
That something inside of me still hurts when others hurt.
My heart is damaged when I learn of the callousness,
The lack of concern when those who have the power
To effect change do nothing but equivocate and preen.

I must do the only thing I know how to do...cry out!
I must write, but I'll never get this horror out of my system.
I still hurting over Sandy Hook, Parkland, Stoneman Douglas,
Now Robb Elementary School...tragedies of epidemic proportion.
And when will it stop? It should stop. This is America!
But it will never stop, I fear.

Total Devestation

Total Devastation

Of smoke saw big plumb;
Certainly did ceil our doom;
Then swept tomb with brume.

Will equivocate;
Hesitate and celebrate;
Did elaborate.

Prefer to pilfer,
While each flower will wilter
Had to kill him and her..

We deserved lower
Rate and we can hardly wait
For it to be done.

Merrick Garland's ghost
From coast to coast perfect host
Who was loved the most.

Get a grip on self
Of information was a wealth
You will be faced with.

The Devil Is In the Details

The Devil’s watch has started and the time is consummate
A strange and tranquil calmness mocks our terrifying wait
There, just beyond our window moves like fearsome reprobates
A pair of tortuous demons meant all Hell to perpetrate
We will not yield in panic! We will not abdicate!
The oaths we swore, though did not know what fortune could mandate
Then all at once the door explodes like Hell’s infernal gate
And from its raw primordial wound two creatures detonate
A thunderous commotion rings as demons orchestrate
Concussive pandemonium ‘til heads reverberate
Our precious things and property? Just grist to lubricate
The cogs and gears of ruin in their trek to decimate
All supplications fail to slow or cause to deviate
The terrors’ stupefying quest to misappropriate
It seems no thing that we hold dear shall realize escape
Each second’s an eternity, yet hours accelerate
And suddenly as it began, the anarchy abates
Back to their lair they are recalled and though they hesitate
To disobey their Master’s voice they dare not contemplate
So final mischief they perform then through the door gyrate
Perdition’s gate they seal once more, no fear can infiltrate
Now silence will return again and we’ll recuperate
In time the fear will disappear and doubts evaporate
So order once again returns, our world to dominate
Yet in our minds there still exists (though we equivocate)
Confession for the origin of this despairing state
For harsh parental curse once made we can’t repudiate
What went around has come around to now reciprocate
Thus progeny of progeny is ours to expiate
We can’t take back what Nature in its wisdom still dictates
"I hope your children grow up to be JUST LIKE YOU!" still grates
And devil’s laughter is the fee we pay to procreate

Suspended Transcendental Meditative State

Suspended Transcendental Meditative State...

Temporarily relieves, loosens,
and detaches worldly weight,
albeit bearing heavily straight
away upon well balanced,
awk credited miniature oblate
spheroid, sans cranial

dome to help alleviate
this principled capital one citizen banker,
whose penurious plight
seeks to make lightweight
oppressive burden clawing
(with razor sharp talons)

tete a tete upon pate
never to abate
pennilessness, which oppressive monetary
crisis could abbreviate
livingsocial, and spur me to abdicate
charade, facade minted "FAKE"

dog and pony Truman
kaput show, doth accelerate
velocity at which body
electric will demonstrate
how basket of deplorable
pauperism existence I abominate

past the tipping point to relish,
where being in the red
financially doth accentuate
swiftness yours truly will acclimate,
where among grave
mausoleums will accommodate

finding yours truly to acculturate
adjusting being housed
with grateful dead help facilitate
mine written posthumous decomposition
once Hades will activate
leverage - haggling with ferryman,

which latter might equivocate
par for the course, especially demise,
asper cessation circumlocution prone
fella never to tubby a freight
of becoming deceased

signifying no more flapping gums
asthma lovely bones disintegrate
into basic constituent matter
repurposed into essence, I cannot intimate.

Premium Member Choosing Sides

I was once for compromise.
Then I came to realize.
That when you go for middle ground,
Both sides wish to shoot you down.
Well, they should.
For you are no good;
When too timid to choose a side
And in the center wish to hide.
Please do not take this wrong.
We should all attempt to get along.
Jesus never tolerated hate.
He asked us all to relate;
But he never did equivocate,
Hesitate, prevaricate, or vacillate.
He always claimed that he was boss;
Even when nailed upon the cross.

Long Nosed Earthy Bookworm Knows Bout Angler Saxon

Long nosed earthy bookworm knows 'bout Angler Saxon

Shell yours truly share hook line
and sinker, regarding how I nearly
fell prey to off fish shill
doom for umpteenth time?

Ya haint got no choice... to late,
cuz eyes already clicked bait,
though don't worry be happy fate
will find thee enjoying poetic tête-à-tête
rhyming Hors d'oeuvres
ain't no Shakespearean literary great

expert, nonetheless might interest
with special Labor Day rate
absolute zero charge courtesy
to mollycoddle principally
as figurative paypal pit tate
ting gently massaging your pate

anyway don't get doggies in a dimple
yawping personal ambition
of this doggone puppy not to create
literary accomplishment appraised great
merely to fritter away time possibly
unexpectedly, unknowingly,
unwittingly... titillate.

Herewith follows "FAKE" off fish hill
anecdote without wallowing
in self pity and deemed gill
tee of slimy overkill,
whereby fisherman seeks likes of me,
who favors lollygagging
within Brooklyn rill

frequented by Jack and Jill
ice cream in vain
when riled, poked, nabbed...
courtesy angler England Bill
unaware his carping cavil
never fooling this ever will
fill squiggly... d'ya phylum me?

As proud Annelida where trawler
(accompanied with boating mate)
blithely tosses yours truly into catcher's
reel tin can - grim fate
ah, but survival skills include
ability to regenerate

in thee event mine body electric rotate
headed, chopped, perforated, segmented...
evening, increasing, licking... odds
laughing to myself, which doth not abate,
cuz I outsmarted, thus aye state
with modesty if perchance just a sliver

lopped off, destiny cannot eliminate
opportunity not to agitate,
but rather duplicate, replicate
unisexual worman hood
without need to feign
being irate, thus
pretend to equivocate.
