Best Environments Poems

Premium Member Pet-Sit Panics

Most households have in USA pets
A hundred million cats and dogs
Other pet types include
Aquarium fish and bird
Most content in home environments.

I got discontent with a content cat
We turn to friends or neighbors
For help to short timer
Or to pet-care giver
All options, not optimal for each pet.

I became that short timer option
My friend wished to go to Ukraine
I pet-sitted for his cat
Gave me care-taking note
Of her keeps, her daily medicine.

Giving transdermal med into her ear
And she bit the crap out of my ear
Can’t call friend back or a vet
Used third option instead
Sent her to professional care taker.

hard, cold ...

with weight to crush
impervious to all, save the elemental
burdenous, and dense with unfeeling matter
oh, it shines in its own way

it is indeed a rare gem
fit for only the most hospitable of environments
and it pulses with an extraordinary energy, innate and lasting
though it betrays not, its bearing

how I have labored to penetrate its unyielding exterior
how I have plied and chiseled and hewn
striving with all I am and know
to create a masterpiece from corporeity

to mold warmth from its raw and ridged form
and bring forth the bounty from within
oh, the moisture of my brow!
oh, the stinging weep of my eyes!

spent in vain for the sake of its ingress
countless, the moments wasted on its rigid margin
but I shant break the unbreakable
much as even THAT would be a success

and a reckoning ... though twisted.
I. Am. Done.
no more will I bring my spirit to bear ...
no more will I shed sweat OR tear for its regard

and should it one day shatter and split -
whether by its own course or another -
I will no longer care or consider
but I will also NOT pleasure in its undoing

for I loved it more than life
oh, yes, even that much
this exquisite object ...
this one stone ...

your HEART.

Premium Member Pristine And Untamed

Wild
pristine
and untamed,
nature feels free
unfettered by time
or arrogance of Man.
She is part of everything
half creator, half destroyer;
She is the architect of all life,
all its beauty and abominations.
Connected in a fundamental way
we appreciate Nature's artwork;
like painting the sunset scarlet
and inking the sky crimson,
or apple-blossom pink.
But She also hosts
hurricane winds
volcanoes
fire and
ice.
From
scented
orchids to
ugly vultures,
nature modifies
and diversifies life;
altering environments.
Forcing life to adapt or die,
allows for more varied creations
on Earth's ever-evolving forms of life.

A Struggle

We all have our good and bad days
Because they depend on our ways
Growing up around bad environments
And a screwed up system by governments
My family not loving me
Discriminating against me
Telling me that they regretted my birth
And me not wanting to be on this earth
I became depressed
And dealt with a lot of stress
Never taught me right from wrong
Dealing with these memories for so long
I always learned things the hard way
From always wanting to do it my way
My past always haunting me
From when my half brother raped me
And then abusing me
When I got older I told my family
But they didn’t believe me
Then going to school and being talked about
And not cared about
Because I was different
And not belligerent
My self esteem grew low
And when it came to sex it was hard to say no
Because I would do anything to feel loved
Known as a jump-off around the neighborhood
And no one really knew or understood
That I was I struggling with my life
Overcoming suicide attempts
And anxiety attacks
Coping with the way things are
Because my hope grew far
While days seemed to never get better
I tried to change for the better
I’ve learned to just cope with everything
Because in my life it’s a constant struggle

Premium Member One of the Greatest Baseball Heroes

On April 26, 1992 a baby boy was born to parents that did not want him. The parents chose to not abort, instead of terminating his life in the womb, they gave him up for adoption. Adopted he was loved and had wonderful parents that cared and nurtured him through his upbringing. Because two wonderful human beings cared for this young man, he grew up to be a role model for other Kids, in a generation where Heroes are needed to be looked up to, in a dark world that we are living in today. This young man did not succumb to drugs, crime, or hate. He stood out like a beacon of light and hope for those less fortunate in those evil environments. He was an overcomer to say the least. The one in a million Lottery ticket winner, if you will. Sadly he could have been an aborted statistic but God had other plans for this young man. At 30 years old he was 6ft 7 inches tall, 282 lbs. He beat the world record for homeruns in a single season without using drugs, or steroids, he accomplished this with hard work and training, and dedication. He is on par to win one of Baseball's greatest Honors, the Triple Crown. He could be the greatest player to play baseball of all time, but more importantly the life he has led, overshadows his abilities as a baseball player. He is what Heroes are made of. It all started with a Couple's love to adopt. Yes, my friends, the Hero I am referring to is America's greatest baseball player Aaron Judge. The story doesn't end there. For there are Five Heroes here. They are the original parents that chose to spare his life and give him up for adoption. They are Patty and Wayne Judge who opened their homes and hearts to raise a lovely son for the world to appreciate and love. Aaron leads by example. In all of the darkness in this world, God gave us a Light to see and appreciate through Aaron Judge...

You Are - Much More

I
A day, a blessing, misshapen
Careless words, good deeds overtaken
You rise, we rise: building on the trough
Cresting arrested; environment looks tough
We cannot fall further, sink lower
We remain connected, no matter the matter
Mother and child, ocean & waves, eternally
Somewhere deeper, Universe is you and me

II
You were cresting, dancing with siblings
Environments include YOU, both creating
A win-win world, Oceans of happy waves
Even when we crash, the trough saves
It is our connection to the Ocean Bed
No matter the weather ... Curses, words said
You are more, more than that spent wave
You have tasted eternity; you are beyond brave

III
We are more than our profession
We are more than any reputation
We are more than strong, or wise
We are more than traps that surprise
U & I are the universe experiencing Itself
New American loses identity of immigrant
The play of creation depends on disguise
Maybe that God as Spirit borrows our eyes

IV (Envoi)
You are much more than you know
Look for the empowerment in surprise
Go with the flow as a wave, ebb and flow
Maybe God as Spirit must borrow our eyes

NOTE: I am still new to this form and modified the rhyme scheme

More Love In the World

The hate, the wait
the crimes, the times
endless situations occur
where is love?
why so much hatred?
amongst those that are known
where is the love? Some families are feuding
misguided confusion
air pollutions
germs and toxic environments
unemployment on the rises
flooding and unknown substances
water contaminated in some areas
the world in hate, in so many places
where is the love?
not getting along
no reason at all
just an unlike
some are scorned
where is the love?
making a difference
changing the atmospheres
showing your love
a legacy is known
giving a hug, changing a life
not bitter and always strife
within you, there is a goal
showing a smile is worth the while
more love is needed, not a lot of hate
Jesus died for us all
love standeth abroad.

Quite often it seems we tell kids, it’s best to be first
They sign up for fun; parents, it seems, for the fame
Whether it’s academics or sports, why not just let kids thrive?

Create environments for learning and fun needed to thrive
Nurture with affection and love; be their springboard first
Build the foundation they will need to handle future fame

A solid foundation will ensure an easy adjustment to fame
In any circumstance, self- assurance makes anyone thrive
Teach them, the game of life is not won by coming in first

Good character first, may lead to fame in which anyone can thrive

Goodbye Means Goodbye

GOODBYE MEANS GOODBYE

You seem to be still feeling down.
Domestic violence decries.
You dragging your feet now.
It’s time for your spirit to shine.
No need to cry.
Wipe the tears from your eyes.
The melodramatic days you have left behind.

You left that man now you want to cry.
Is he worth it Boo?
Go on with your life.
Wipe the tears from yours eyes.
Spread your wings and feel alive.
The melodramatic days are no longer around.

The arguments the volatile environments
A struggle known love took over.
You got your senses in check.
So you left.
Wipe your eyes.
Leave the crying behind and
Ease your mind.
You said goodbye.
Now live by it.

the seashore fiercely anticipating
To settle personal retribution

Night's sincere sentinel exhibiting

My Cybersecurity Journey

In the world of tech, where cyber threats run rife,
To be an expert in cybersecurity is life.
The journey to expertise is one worth telling,
So come along with me, let me start from the beginning.

First, let me say, it wasn't always clear,
That cybersecurity was my path, it's odd I know, my dear.
But one fateful day, an attack we did face,
Our company's data was gone without a trace.

It was a wakeup call, and I heeded the alarm,
I knew we needed to be safe from cyber harm.
I read every book and took every course,
I was determined to stop any future data loss.

My core values were established, to protect and to serve,
To defend from malicious attacks with assertive nerve.
Integrity, honesty, and loyalty were my guide,
To master this skill and keep data safe on our side.

I had to keep updated, every new threat in sight,
Just like data and systems, against time and events we fight.
Then, it was time to put my skills to the test,
I started in small environments where I'd invest.

I'd see how the hackers gained entry, for any weakness they'd seek,
So I would devise ways on how to make our system's security thicker.
I worked hard and was promoted to lead the charge,
And my mentor would always tell me, "stay on guard".

My journey continued, expanding my knowledge every day,
There was so much to learn and so much more to say.
I took on leadership roles, always teaching and guiding,
Passing on the expertise, the knowledge with a binding.

As I look back now, I realize how far I had come,
From a novice to an expert, the journey yields the outcome.
The core values of cybersecurity have molded my way,
From the tech that we use and the people we say.

Integrity, honesty, loyalty are values I hold dear,
To protect and to serve, without any fear.
To be the best, the expert, and keep our data secure,
And always be proactive, never complaisant or obscure.

Deep within, cybersecurity is a passion of mine,
A world that's forever changing, in defense we combine.
It's the core values that got me to my expertise and to believe,
Those values will forever remain, they'll never cease.

The Vaccine

For centuries humans thrived.
Education, how they survived.
Changing environments a challenge.
Through clever skills they managed.
Became prepared for any situation.
Assuming no more devastation.

The dark sky brightening.
Impossible war, not lightening.
Everyone chanting prayers.
Gods no longer cared.
The beings who started it all
Came to make it fall.

Humans will no longer possess
A future without distress.
Blessing to die than to strive.
Never be a chance to survive.
A planet devoid of a vaccine
As Earth is wiped clean.

Premium Member The Patterson Film

Man or myth, fact or fiction, a primitive walking legend,
A photo vision of realism, or fraud’s conception of the
Ultimate hoax gone wrong, evolution's unseen experimental
Beast, lying in the hallow shadows of discovery.
In the tinder box of humanity vs. creationism, the
Patterson film is a spark igniting the flame of
Controversy, singeing the ends of these too
Fragile beliefs, pitting them against each other.
Anomaly belong, in the twisted trail of DNA,
Is she a Hominid unknown or a cryptid fake?
In the vast body of evidence, do we truly
Have to kill just to prove that something exists,
Life is mystery, beauties accent quality, and
Freedom is a God given right, not to be taken
Away lightly, with a single bullets flashing’s strike.
Look within the eyes of the beast, to her kind
We are the true animals, invading her kindred’s
Environments.
In the forest wilds here the screaming cries of the
Missing extinct, raging at their iron bars of the
Forgotten species, as the last one falls, do we
Not hear their bodies hitting the floor of existence.
Are we not the intelligent ape, whom climbed down
From the trees, and walked upon two legs of knowledge,
Nay do I ponder these questions?
In the linkages of legacies frame work, a divine welder
And craftsman decides the lines of survival not mankind.
A harsh fact in realism, tomorrow we may become the earthen dust
Blowing in the winds of destiny, joining the dinosaurs of yesterday.
Man or myth, fact or fiction, a primitive walking legend,
A photo vision of realism, or fraud’s conception of the
Ultimate hoax gone wrong, evolution's unseen experimental
Beast, lying in the hallow shadows of discovery.

.In the forest thicket, the hunters stalk the forests unknown,
And there huddled together are the cryptic, hugging
Their young tenderly ever closer to the bare bosom, hushing them
To remain silent, for mankind draws ever nearer.
Man or myth, fact or fiction, a primitive walking legend,
A photo vision of realism, or fraud’s conception of the
Ultimate hoax gone wrong, evolution's unseen experimental
Beast, lying in the hallow shadows of discovery.

The Fox, the Wolf, the Coyote

A wizard of wild
Seasonal changes his world
Sly and cunning games

Open fields are home
To always play till days end
Hunting more than sport

A flash of movement
Traces of his whereabouts
Are scarcely a trail.

Magician of beast
Blending one within his own
Timeless enchantment

A graceful harshness
A beautiful wilderness
Harsh environments

An eerie silence
Approaching from the shadows
Cloaked in mystery.

Fearless by nature
Radiant energy bounds
An essence of one

Playful and naughty
Shadows of monsters lurking
Elected by force

A challenge to live
Surviving in modern days
Resilient by far.

The Two Gerbils and the Wheel

This is a story of sharing. This is a story of caring for one another and placing other's needs above our own.

Once upon a time there were two gerbils in a gerbil cage. One gerbil said to the other gerbil, “Hey, wanna go for a stroll on the wheel?”

The other gerbil replied merrily, “Nah. You go first because you haven’t run for quite a while.”

The first gerbil hopped on the wheel and began to run and run and run until he couldn’t run any more. He even became dizzy and almost fell off the wheel. He was so excited to get some good old fashioned rodent exercise, but he just didn't know when enough was enough. Finally he hopped off the wheel and took a rest for a while.

Soon after that the owner of the gerbils came over and said, “HI! “

“How are you two fellas doing in there today?” said the owner with a happy grin.

The two gerbils looked up at him and decided to run on the wheel again just to say thanks to the young boy for taking such good care of them.

The second gerbil hopped up on the wheel first and then after two minutes decided to take a break. Then the first gerbil began to jog merrily on the wheel again. It was like gerbil heaven in the cage and the two friends continued to take turns all throughout the day. They even helped each other take turns at the water container too.

The young boy who owned the gerbils wondered what it was like to be a gerbil as he sat there most of the afternoon. He wondered if he could survive all cooped up in a glass cage too.

There is a moral to this story. There really is!

The moral is you never know what you are getting yourself into when you live in a gerbil cage.

The second moral is that even in the smallest environments you can learn to live in harmony with one another and peace can prevail. It takes effort and it takes a BIG HEART too!
