(Coming Back Home)

Crimson sunsets trickled beyond the moor
Opulence of one’s youth a mindset forever stays,
Miracle of homely birthplace the lure
Inspired by non-forgotten special days.
Neon lights above the door lost their glitter
Garish gowns grew tired torn and tatty,
Bothersome marriage a divorce turned bitter
Asylum that sends a sane person batty.
Calling out aloud in hope a childhood listens
Kindred spirit says let the passing of time begin,
Heart and mind to put behind all that glistens
Oh, and the carousel of show biz and the spin.
Memories are many so are the steps to climb
Epic journey the apex or slippery slope for a dime.

Washington & Adams retired to their lair
Jefferson invented the swivel chair,
Taft went back to the law-
Of late,cashing-in seems the plan
Only Harry ,was a true man

We preached passivity with violence
While spewing raucous vitriol

Offered all inclusion
Beneath a tie-dyed flag

Whispered to the innocent
Of the evil’s oh so near

Supported certain candidates
Just to get their ear

Taught kids how to rant and chant
Not how to understand

Promised them the everything
Of the nothing in our hand

Then promised them at bedtime
There’s a god that has a plan

We wished to keep them mindless
Thoughtless and uninformed

To cherish being average
And well within the norm

Finally, convince them
To fit in they must conform

Been Their Done That

It came to me easy but flew away fast trying to grasp it, no handle to grip.
My feelings so charged that confusion sets in .Why have I not noticed or seen all the signs. Returning to a place I thought I had finally left behind.
The uproar of voices that same fight again .A cycle, a given. A means to a end.
The idea of change ,straight, dead ahead , to see it before me, mesmerized in aw pulling me in. .Wanting it ,needing it , yet my feet are weighed down, every move a struggle every motion cruel, without release, holding fast ,my desires and passions shining ahead with dreams for a future something anew.
So slowly I journey eager, relentless, reaching out, not holding back, only to discover I've gone no where. I'm on the same path yet again. Reaching for something way out of view. Awaiting my chance, a final frontier. Hoping it doesn't pass me by ,while my head is turned so busy focused on the now. That same old path yet again succeeding on holding me back.

Been There, Done That

The heart sparkles with emotions that very time you’ve found someone new. It’s like a whirlwind that hits you! You want that feeling to stay infinite. It tastes special, fragrant and unique. It gets into you the more you spend time with them. We all love it. Oh! Even the aged. It respects them not.

There are those funny things we find ourselves doing for the people we love most either to attract their attention or simply to express our affection. You will call or text at 3a.m, live on debts just to buy them something they really treasure, talk to them for the longest hours, delay assignments just because you want to hear them speak, look into their eyes or something, hold their hands in public to show everyone else how much they belong to you alone, and alike. We know these things, we’ve all done them.

The
sands
of change
fill up the
egg timer of life-
repeating the mistakes of the past.

          Bye-bye, Benny Gantz
He says, ‘Just give peace a chance’

          Israel has, since 2005
Left Gaza ~ lucky to still be alive

          ____________________________________
Gantz is a minister in Israeli P.M. Bibi Netan-
yahu's Cabinet... Gazans elected Hamas to be
its ruling political party in 2006. Since then,
Hamas has targeted Israel with dozens of
terror attacks, and kept Gaza on the brink
of collapse, thanks to its corrupt officials.

They shouldn't have done that

Starry Night
Pregnant Wife
Star born child
Alien visitors behold
Shepherds Crook
Lamb of God
Wisest of Men
Presents for Him.
Then a life of truth
Normal expectant world
Universe unfold
Then they crucified him
And they shouldn't have done that.
