When emotions are
a circle

placed d

empathy can be a challenge,
sensing things others struggle to see.

As each d

                  unfolds.

Illusive vultures perch
upon frail shoulders, their talons
digging deep into sensitive skin. Biting lips
from the pain, clenching fists, tongue restrains
from screaming. How it wishes to express things out loud,
but plagued by a jaded misunderstood mind, it feels like a rain
cloud unable to release drops of heavy burdens contained deep inside.

Sometimes
I wish I could c r y,

is this the definition of me now?

How real is this smile you see,
                                           pretending in puddles
of premeditated positivity.

Like you,
struggling to find answers,
to so many complex questions -
 in a
battle between
philosophies and prophecies.

Are we villains, heroes, victims or victimizers?

Have we touched more hearts, than we've broken?

I ponder what role will I play in my last performance,
which character will illustrate my story.
Yet none of us will ever know.

I secure them in a tired timber box.
for a moment my heart is safe, admiring,
dandelions bloom in my flourishing orchard.

Please do not touch

Just read the signs dotted around the gallery display
So you take a selfie ...
What harm can it do?

Your camera shutter
clicks
clicks
clicks
as you take selfish selfie pics

Teetering on your high heels
you topple backwards like a destructive domino

I've never considered myself an arty or creative person and I went out of my comfort zone to write this free verse poem.

At long last
the woman in her rebelled!
Overcoming fear and shame
she spoke out
not in a whisper
but loud, clear; determined
to end the torment within,
the silence...the omerta`.
The first domino fell and
others followed suit.
There is strength in unity,
courage in numbers.
Riding the wave of change
#MeToo
Horrors, lies, cover-ups
exposed; untouchables
hit the ground from high perches.

Sexual abuse!
Sexual assault!
Sexual harassment!

Perpetrators cling to
consensual claims, innocence,
pleas for forgiveness.
Victims call for justice.

A Domino Masquerade

It's a masquerade in the square,
where throngs of people strut;
ladies cleverly hide their hair
and lips smeared with pistachio nut.

My domino is of dark red;
I have escaped from Hell
to deceive the ones who are sad,
who follow the wrong trail.

Amid the crowd someone I seek:
that soul whose need is love;
I can deceive with looks so meek...
for how long can I rove?

Through dark streets and under bridges
I'll find that pretty one,
the one who has very soft curves
and desires to be mine.

I'll spot her looking near and far,
shadows may play some tricks;
she'll mistake me for her lover...
wine and mist moisten lips.

Her domino dress is scarlet,
I'm tempted to touch it;
the girl smiles, she's found her Hamlet
exuding much delight.

She boards the gondola glowing...
letting her joy sparkle,
" Wild's the night, I've waited all evening!"
" Lucky us! " I giggle.

Dark Side of the Moon - Domino Fork Headset

Now speak to me my heart and urge me forth
in marching beat my lungs to breathe the air;
too few the years contracted to a span
'ere time and days decline as sun set fair.

My swaddling now become a thinning shroud
a cloak for the great big gig in the sky;
what money may be clutched by lifeless hands
were it enough in Heaven my soul to buy.

Too late, too often, it was us and them
at odds with comrades ere the war begin;
any colour you like we’re all the same
beneath the crust all flesh is kith and kin.

Too late, my road led to delusions door
and beckoned my brain damaged 'ere the moon
reveal her hidden shade to howling wolf,
or there confess the secrets of the rune.

Our ending then we cannot hope to shape
and gaze not far at what you cannot see;
search not for light astern earth’s satellite
eclipsing her the Sun will valiant be.

The Domino Effect

THE DOMINO EFFECT!

By: Dark Sunshine - VSW

Real real Domino's Pizza cares...
Your hungry is not to be there!
When you hear your stomach growling
Call them up now!

Domino's Pizza...
A great place to eat -
Call them up and order for delivery,
Faster than a leer jet in the City.
Call them up and they will be really speedy!

D o you want to eat now?
O scar Meyers out?
M outh salivating?
I ndigestion not found?
N o food been swallowed for quite a while?
O ff the hook comes the telephone because you are calling Domino's!

P lease can you deliver[y] to my house?
I am hungry and my stomach is meowing.
Z esty pizza I do smell.
Z ealous I am,
A sking you to come real fast!

Domino's Pizza is your best bet!!!
What else are you craving?
We have chicken and pasta bowls.
We will dish 'em up also.
Cinnamon stixs
Hot fudge pies
Sandwiches for appetizers
You also can get you something to drink.
Darn, I will bring the menu if I forgot something.

Pink Domino

A date or two, whoever knew,
   you and I would marry,
one look from you that summer day,
         didn’t I seem too scary?

My pms was terrible,
   always spilling coffee,
nonetheless I sure was a klutz,
         I'm obsessed with toffee!

Remember that time in the lake?
   poor you I almost drown,
pointy pink fish on two toes,
         I jiggled like a clown!

Pregnancy hormones were awful,
   you stayed like a trooper,
      resenting you for my crying,
         you prayed I'd be super!

Beneath the moon that starry night,
    proposed with sweet romance,
fell on my feet in the fountain,
        you had no tweeting chance!

I warned you the first day we met,
   I swore I had a curse,
you held my hand through good and bad,
         you never saw my worst.

A date or two, whoever knew,
   you’d agree to love me,
what we’ve been through, I think and laugh,
my pink pants I did pee!

The Domino Effect

The dominoes are falling
As the rain is pouring down
The engines of our minds are stalling
And everything we know is about to be burned to the ground

The puzzle is coming together
And the pieces fall into place
The prophets are saying forever
As God kills off the human race

The pictures we've painted are smudging
The colors we speak will fade
As love and hate are judging
The decisions and mistakes that we've made

The towers we've built are crumbling
The paint on our hearts is chipped
As the steps we take send us stumbling
Into a life for which we are ill-equipped

The sculptures we've molded are sinking
Into a sea of sand and blood
We slaughter one another without even thinking
The consequences may not be what we want

The friendships we've built are breaking
As a thing called love is forgotten
We're losing the things we spent a lifetime making
And realize this world in which we live is rotten

We give our lives for remembrance
In hope that someone will cry
To give this life some meaning or semblance
So these mistakes won't be made after we die

Alzheimer's Domino Effect Chapter 5

It’s weird…we are two peas in a pod…
I downloaded you like a Sims’ mod
Because you got me hooked on your looks…
You are as fascinating as a billion books…

You accept me, you don’t reject me…you are my constructive building blocks
I crawl on you like a weird-looking insect – I am curious of your peace and wraths
Or a mole on your skin, but I’d rather not see…your facial expression aftershocks
I dunno…we are independent, but I feel like…we cross paths…

My past girlfriend followed me on instagram…
And on Facebook…
And on Twitter…
And on other social media websites…
I barely got into social media when I was 30 years of age…
And I’m on many, many rampages…
Alzheimers, man, they have a way to trigger you
Into insanity…
Into a lane of vanity

To go up and down walls
Unknown to me at all
All y’all didn’t answer their calls
Don’t fall, don’t trip, stand tall

I was on snapchat when I was 47 years of age…
I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar when I got hospitalized at age 13…
I am hard-working, but at the same time, there is nothing wrong with me…
I am pretty good for my age – I’m 97, going on 98…
I was a responsible adult, paying bills…nothing in the world is free
Nothing in this wretched world is free
Nothing in this crazy, physcho world is free
Nothing in this ever-whirling world is free
But, baby, always remember…
You were born in the month of December
Ooooh, now I didn’t lose my train of thot
Don’t I look hot? Oh wait, no hate, I lovin’ it…
I made progress and it’s exhilaratin’ and logically legit…
I may be materiasitic,
But at least I’m being realistic
I was born and raised rich
I ain’t no game glitch…
But, what goes around comes back around…
I am found, though my body, with gravity (which ain’t helping), has been bound…
Where’s my wheelchair?
Does anyone even care?
I am lying here in despair…
Help me, save me, everyone stares here
I am afraid; yet, I have no fear…
For God is here and there…

Domino

Terrified Girl stop sitting alone,
 show your beauty.
Open up your inner thoughts.
I'll take a seat and share my Hersey bar.
I'm here for you ,
I'll be a shoulder to cry on,
 Your diary to write on.
Take a deep breath and let all your feelings go.
I'll be your friend, when no one else will.
Shoot the glass the glazed your eyes.
I'll be the burning joy you speak too.
It's okay to open up.
Days upon days of kindness are rewarded .
 Take a chocolate break ,
shatter the windows of the other hopeless souls that desire the attention of human relations.

Alzheimer's Domino Effect Chapter 2

Live up to your highest potential
Live for the future
Now is your time to shine
Hoping hopelessly for you to be mine…

But…

I’m hesitant…unmovable air…
Leaves us in this despicable despair
Keep it down in there
Just a hair…
Let us love birds sing with each other
In harmony…or in one marvelous melody…

I have some good connections with my elderly companions…
But, most of them stink like rotting onions…
Sorry to say…moreover, they are just downright dirty…
I am the only one in this institution that keeps himself clean
I may be the flirty type (if I do say so myself), but I’m lugubrious and languorous

I am lethargic and doleful
My mug is half empty and it’s mighty pitiful
Foolish and wise I have come to be
So please, don’t leave me…
I do love you, fair lady
You’re not bias and you’re so rational
I’m such the opposite…I think too irrational
But, you…your pale skin…your silky, graying hair…
It sways in the air-conditioned dormitories…
I wish, when I am retired, that we are at the beach
Hoping to see, with these weary, silver eyes, your gentle, gracious hair blow vibrantly with the breeze…
You are the one that I yearn for…but, you’re out of reach
Because you left me for another weirdo that sat next to me…
My so-called buddy once upon a time…
Now, he stares at the television

I am bold,
Though old...

I cheated my approach to oblivion.
Making threats when the boat is breaking.
The years ahead of us feel like a riddle.
The path is hazy, and the result is unclear.
We shall all suffer the consequences.
For the fate of one is the fate of all.
A chain of failures is like a domino effect.
