Best Despondently Poems

Approaching Storm
Skulking between the thinning clumps
Of tattered sedge
A balding coot despondently calls,
Scratching Blackbirds scutter deeply
Into a Hawthorn hedge;
Whilst, creeping stealthily,
Gathering darkness onwardly crawls.

The blackened Moorhen washes the clinging
Soot from his feathered form,
Rising above the mirrored pond in awkward
flight.
Gathering clouds mumble softly of an...

I want to go
where there's no pain
and all I feel
Is gentle rain
I want to go
where flowers bloom
and cheerful sun
does banish gloom
I want to go
where words are true
and passion falls
like morning dew
I want to go
where love can sing
where untrue hearts
will never sting
I want to go
where I...

Through the Mist
Through the Mist

It feels like a lifetime has passed since my beloved I last saw,
Bedecked in shining armor, my brave Geoffrey did gallantly gallop,
Riding his silver steed, through a soft silky blue morning mist
That like a tender lover enveloped and amorously embraced him.

Now overtaken...

Premium Member Despondent Moon
Oh, sad moon,
you float
alone
in what used to be,
your cloud nine,
looking down
despondently
at me.
I remember
your illuminating glow,
so gleeful at twilight.
I remember
the smile
you wore yesterday
when billions
of your friends
shared the sky
with you.
But tonight
the sky is starless
and you're now so blue.
Smile, moon.
Smile again!
I'm here.
I'm a friend

Life Doesn'T Have To Be So Bad
I can still hear the strumming of your mesmerizing guitar
And your soft, angelic voice captures me afar
I miss the times we used to dance around on the balcony in joy
As you would laugh and talk about every hot middle school boy
I remember the night you...

Don'T Worry
Once upon a time,
The Orange & Pink Dragon
Popped out of nowhere,
Blowing pink flames in all directions.
The Shapeless Robot walked down the street
With a blank expression on its robotic face.
He made a Snake Bird friend,
Since he didn't have a friend of his own;
Loneliness...

Beloved Companions -Part 3-
Days passed and still we did not take him
I was angry at everyone and stayed near his side
But one day he had disappeared
My heart skipped a beat as I searched the whole house
 Calling his name despondently
 Finally I heard a faint...

A Look At Myself
He strives for improvement, never reaches his goals
A young male struggling strong foes
His whole life considered inadequate
Life is dull, and his heart he should quit

Taken and destroyed for being himself
Despondently trying to control what his heart felt
Rejection is faced at each and every turn
His heart's...

I Guess So
When we were young,
I held my long tongue
Foolishly sheepish
Life is a sea full of fish

Good times spent with you mindlessly
Boy, I don't feel guilty for being your minion of troublesome crime...spent so playfully
But God knows what I'll be without you...
Subsiding and abiding...

In the whispering breeze I hear the birds sing
for you as the sunburst sky flushes your face.
How endearingly attractive you are then to me,
mesmerized I know, the clue you do not find.

After sullen night melts, in your garden I find me
sparkle as the opalescent...

Though a Democrat
Unblinking reflexive opinions lean
     indubitably, favorably and certifiably
     with minimal pandering soliciting
     uber voodoo yawping woos

socially quintessentially obviously markedly

My Swan Song
My Love, lest I grow weary of the wait
And get entangled in a web of hate,
My longing’s driving me swooning insane
My cruel maiden! Save me from this pain.

With sorrow I sit despondently forlorn
Oh come, with anguish my soul is torn,
It is drawing me down into...

The Templed Heart
You've lost your mate one decade gone,
a longshoreman who bode his time
upon the seas from dusk till dawn.

Knew every route, when he should climb
the towering waves to safely ground
his skiff, bring men home in their prime

to families, lovers, safe and sound.
After those years spent in...

Inspired by Glenn Hughes song " From Now On"

In the whispering breeze I heard the birds sing
for you as the sunburst sky flushed your face.

mesmerized I knew, but you had no clue.

In the seamless sky of my...

'she'Et
When I was a boy I repudiated you
Your cooties chased you out the crew
The innocence across the playground blew

I ran and ran and ran

Later I was taught how to communicate to you
Your dress had black borders and dotted lines I retained the view
I remember in...
