Premium Member Joanie Come Early

Everyone called Joanna Wilde, Joanie, like an abbreviated crescent moon,
Of which she was much enamored, with its silky, maroon darkness tunes.

Pert Joanie was a young night owl, loving lone whip-poor-wills, singing,
And bewitching midnight stars of glitter, and a calm silence, for thinking.

Joanie was a successful librarian, and always dreamed of advancement;
And having the morning shift, she worked hard for career enhancement.

On weekends, Joanie and fatigued friends, had fun days in fresh flowers,
Below feathery clouds floating far, in warm honeyed sun, of tonic powers.

Sunshine fever fetched family and kisses, when flowers feigned fainting,
'Ere purple finches stood still at noon, in jade scenes, like fine paintings.

Joanie lived in the house of starry eclipse, of dusk and moon hiding sun;
The red, gold and purple not much missed, afore a rare night was done.

Sweet sounds and scents traveled far, along her street of silver willows.
And minty butterflies kept so busy, as sunbeams slept, on cloud pillows.

Neighbors brought their needlepoint, with news, on nice, nostalgic eves;
For nothing's as neat as nonstop conversation, like a chattering of leaves!

'Cuckoo' flowers denoted colorful hours, as 'busy Lizzy' steadily bloomed;
While mimosa blossoms wore lush silk in sun, in the teal world, perfumed.

Purple bleeding hearts mourned sunset, in the summer of vibrant sparkles.
Red carnations shone as if for queenly coronation, awash in gold marvels.

Joanie was finally up for promotion. That set her ruby heart to dreaming;
But, working nights, she suffered burnout, like grape sun, when scheming.

Her habits had to change-and soon! Like 12 hours spent amidst a lily moon.
She'd hence be a night owl only rarely; like a sable nightingale's new tune!

'Birds sing in the morn
To tell us to rise,
And he who sleeps late
Will never be wise.

For early to bed
And early to rise
Is the way to be healthy
And wealthy and wise.'

It all worked out for the best, to the pride and pleasure of Joanie's family;
Who loved her enough to be a part of, every heartache and fuchsia victory!

TODAY'S CULTURE

Rhett Butler said to Scarlett O'Hara
Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn
The movie industry hurtled a barrier
And American culture took a slam

In today's language it is totally denoted
The word damn is preceded by God
Though against it, many Christians have voted
Their values have been greatly trod

Movies, with such blatant disregard
For the principles on which we were founded
Make movies that should be forever barred
And the voice of sanity be sounded

As a nation, America is falling
Like a meteor hurtling through space
Politicians are missing their calling
Many term our country a disgrace

But Scripture will point us to glory
If God's Word America would heed
Then all would know the end of the story
Eternal life in Heaven, indeed

Red Blood

Blood is red for vibrant,
Beating and in time,
Rhythmical with vitality,
Resounding in spark and shine.

Zestfulness depends on your blood,
Having it and living by its pump,
With transports plasma around the body,
To clot when cuts scare and could stump.

The zeal we get from red blood cells,
Save from Anemia, Malaria and Sickle cell disease,
And when too many white blood cells accumulate,
Leukaemia damages our tissues, the sleaze.

The heart is rightly denoted,
As the centre from which emanates love,
The essence of the person,
The call that you shouldn’t be above.

The colour red is spritely,
Vibrates energy and drive,
A dynamism which supersedes,
The dirge that sometimes thrives.

When you see an icon,
A symbol, logo or picture,
That's covered in the colour red,
Just remember its derivation structure.

You could say that blood was made red,
By god, coincidence or accident,
But I think that red is the colour of blood,
The true precedent and determinant.

Resurrection of Love

I live to love you my 'Love'
I breathe to keep you alive,
I smile to see you ebullient,
I talk to keep you thrive.

Hence I see you drowning to death,
The worries have become thy controller,
You are levitating out of agonies,
See, I'm the same love that you used to call 'flower'!

Still the fragrance is the same,
O Love! Recall closing your eyes those days..
The meaning of life was 'Me' to you,
I fancy, I see clearly that then YOU!

Thy admiration made me butterfly,
Bearing more colours than they highly could ever gather.
The charm of life I got from your songs,
That denoted chords when you touched my bangles.

Are the practicalities mightier than your love my Soul?
Can they really fight back to your mighty will?
Hath your fear mounted its peak for thy enemy?
To surpass the love-mountain where we built our love territory?

Honey, I'm just here, beside you just feel,
Trying to back you to hope, please chill!
Leave the agonies to be blown away,
We'll make the mountain of happiness out of molehill!

Where you will see
Only you, only me.

To a Manor Born

To a Manor Born

An umbrella is a shield against the mighty storm
Denoted years ago, as one who was to a manor born

Class distinction was its task beside the obvious need
In Asia showed the authority of the shaded head

The person was thought to be of a class above the rest
Indicating his position as the centre of the universe.

To shield, to protect, to indicate, to surmise its high state
The mere umbrella is a force in its own right

It's sister the parasol is just for sun protection
It doesn't fold just a pretty decoration

The mighty umbrella either plain or a fancy one
Have the task of protecting from the rain or the sun.

Love to see the brollies bobbing in the rain
Making a splendid picture to to the rain's refrain

Her Love Is Patient

Surfing a mind obstructed with Cupid's arrow
was like bleeding a river that flowed upwards,
towards an angry volcano having nightmares.
A volatile internal rumble craving relief,
only in eruption.
Such was his fury with the thought
of her very existence.

Just as braving the flow of molten rock
was like telling the Tide to stay high,
so was he, Cupid's bow, on the run
trampling on a pool of teardrops
while craving an ocean to drown.

A rage surpassing the passion of hate
permeating that realm of throbbing pain
caused by a guilt scourging his very being.
As Cupid's poison in a delirious mind
denoted, the only cure was the total
deletion of the betrayed.

To her, hate or any emotion
was better than none.
He could do no wrong,
for it was Cupid with his poisoned arrow
who shot her handsome dove.

Their love was borne out of
the belly of the earth, delivered
by the demons of the underworld.
She had tasted its fury and was
scorched by its flames.
Such, could not be touched
by a misguided arrow.

Betrayal was his but a mighty
weapon she had.
Forgiveness might be divine
but her love was patient.
He would be delivered from
Cupid's poison only,
by the very knowledge of
her perpetual existence.

Where the Lilies Bloom

I have seen and known the stories
Our writers have depicted, denoted
Our artists have painted
Pain so passionate
We indulge in misconception
So we may forget the hurt of each day
But i know and i have seen a place
Where the lilies bloom

Where the scent of air sweetened with nectar
Where streams run clean with waters
Where the wild is neither brutal nor aggressive
Where the silence is a mode of communication
Where clouds form to rain
And not flood the land
Water logging soil
Where beauty has no definition
I have seen the place
However far from home
A place where the Lilies Bloom

Eternal Tomb of Stones

The master of illusion and confusion has arrived
And soon he will invade the many facets of your mind.
A shaker and a shaman who will find all things contrived
To strip you of your sanity and leave his seed behind.

Appearing from the ether of your often foggy dreams,
Believer and deceiver in the ancient mysteries;
A planner with a purpose who will implement his schemes
To overwhelm your stilted soul and steal realities.

Seen always in the shadows of Man's rationality
This specter stands alone atop his putrid bloodstained throne;
You suddenly are sickened by his beastiality,
But fear to walk the talk through life with flesh fillet'd to bone.

Contagion of collusion brings eternity of hate
To stand before the altar stone's malevolent disgrace.
He claims your destination will fulfill a brutal fate;
Compassion not denoted on his maladaptive face.

Awaken from the wretched dark and dreaded dreams of night
To gaze upon finality's sarcophagus of stones.
And soon you are aware the dreams you dream to his delight,
Will cast out not one demon marrowed well witihin your bones.

Free Cee An Indian Shiver

AN INDIAN SHIVER

I really don’t know why she took it back
The lady lent me that which I now lack
Some men can abide losing such a prize
And to me loss, of course, is never a surprise

The lady loaned me life’s sweetest gift
Before we fell out of sorts due to a rift
It was a chasm I could not climb out of
And a cloud of cruelty I could not rise above

The woman imparted a large part of her heart
Until she rescinded a most pertinent part
She shared and bared her beauty but only for a little while
A fragmentary moment that was the function of her smile

The lady segmented my spirit seriously with her goodbye
She sliced my body with a disproportionate portion of a lie
What it amounted to was counted in the number of my tears
And now what she once lent me is tragically in arrears

I was a beggar who was never choosy in any way
And when I accepted her contribution it was a most wondrous day
She donated and denoted something that filled a huge empty hole
And now I have but a sorrowful souvenir to remind me of her soul

Abolition Day

It's the most significant day in Black American history
December 6,1865 the legal ending of chattel slavery
It was 157 years ago
When they finally let God's people go

In the year 1619 was when it all started
Africans from the Motherland were permanently parted
And when in 1787 the US Constitution came to be
The southern states now wanted the slaves
To be considered more than property
Hence there was a compromise to that plan
Black slaves would be denoted as 3/5 of a man

But in 1810 an alarming trend America would then see
The slave population started growing exponentially
Also there were now many free Blacks as well
Who were educating the slaves and causing all kinds of hell
So in 1830 the white Americans enacted a law
That teaching slaves to read would be no more
But they didn't stop at that they came at the Black preachers too
To stop them from giving knowledge and preaching the gospel truth

The Abolitionist movement in America was then born
This mighty democratic republic then became torn
The Dred Scott Decision to Blacks was a devastating blow
Until Abe Lincoln came into power to now run the show
11 southern states abdicated and the Confederacy came to fruition
A Civil War erupted in defiance of the US Constitution
The Emancipation Proclamation was then handed down
Lincoln said I'm president and this conflict over slavery stops now
And in 1864 the 13th Amendment was drafted and enacted
It ended slavery with a lot of southern dissatisfaction

Abolitionists went to Congress on January 31,1865
To make sure that Amendment in session would not be passed by
Yet it took almost an entire year for enough states to ratify
Then legally & federally slavery in America did die

4 million plus Black Americans were now legally free
Abolition Day a momentous day in Black American history

I reflect on my current 'reality' & how I have thought in my past day's
Indeed how many times I reasoned on your existence.' Or lack of it?
Or gave you a Dimension I could at least comprehend.'
How alike was I in all this as is all mankind?
Time.. Tangibility, how self deluded can we be? is a hundred years forever?
Yet this small space.' I.. We have denoted as 'reality' as a time of portent even'
Thuough this was only because it was in 'my' lifetimes span,
Have not others gone through the same passage, in lifes transient chapter?
How alike in our miscomprension we can be.'
For it is written, you make my days as a 'handsbreadth'
Again it says you view a thousand years as a watch that passes in the night,
For a thousand years is like a day, and a day is like a thousand years to You,
Also in all this, all the conjecture all the 'science' do not these actions.. This
Expenditure of our precious time, reinforce the very truth of your existence.?
For whoever built themselves castle walls, if it were not to keep someone out?
Whoever has not mustered their arguments before going into the courtroom?

So I Write

So I write...
So I write...
even in this world despite my meaningless less expressive self...I write.
Declined in hysterical, faultlessness...I write
to fulfill plentiful emptiness's.

What successes will my manuscripted-selfless-self achieve?
My pages written solemnly based on critical theologies,
these
I gotta have it technologies, burnt bridges crossed, or
The Lord Jesus crucified;
that which I truly believe.

I write...

particularly, like birds sing happily - freely, underachieved
Yet pronouncing” I'm flexing my wings".
As a confident wind blows
it's own flow throughout bureaus of grasses.
Alike Mrs. Mother Earth allowing her seasons be passive.

I write...

For being intrigued by what might,
happen,
as an eye, leads the soul, or a heart searching,
abuses be buried though grasping.
Across any script denoted by way,
of my poetic pen tip.

I write...
Perhaps, one of many frivolous scripts,
possess seeded enunciation's
of spiritual worth
as words read would be basis
for a total rebirth,

...so I'll write.

I have more to contribute.

Mosi Oa Tunya

The mosquitoes were dancing outside net,
Singing their treacherous songs of death;
“Let us in, we need your blood”.

I rose and rushed out of
The brick and pole cottage
From liquid waste demands,
Having been carousing in solitude
Till evening.

A daunting huge elephant treated itself
To ivory-honey fruit from tall trees,
The flapping of ears denoted peace,
It was in invasion of my residence.

Even in the full moon that night,
The smoke could be seen rising
Against the star studded sky,
There, where the Zambezi waters plunge
Into deep gorges,
My heart whispered,
Again, welcome to Victoria Falls.

Love: the Deathly and Delicate

Like the sight of Dandelions at an open venerate sepulcher.
Of the ardent touch, precipitously hailing two other's semblances to erudite tacit merit.
Voracious of the petal's vocation.
Voracious of the petal, so insatiably, so securely vulnerable, does she... does she not...
Delicate, denoted as such an inane, yet so gravely a significant.

Lifes Jigsaw

Life is like a huge jigsaw
Each piece a part of life
From the moment we're born
Piecing together stress and strife

The overall picture is of summer
Showing the blue sky of living
Fluffy clouds show some discord
Through quarrels and misgiving

Then comes the sea of greenish hues
Family and friends denoted here
The boats that bob on the waves
Look like they are shedding a tear

See, there is a field of grass and corn
With arms waving enjoying the sun
A scarecrow looking so forlorn
Used as a home by mice having fun

I spy a house with chimney smoke
Welcoming all with open arms
With croeso* written on the mat
Enter here for peace and calm

The final piece of the puzzle
Is the one held in my heart
Waiting to say let's go home
We've another puzzle to start
