Best Darkness. Poems
Walking through the land of shadows
wearing my yellow shoes
With each and every step
I created color and hues
The shadows started retreating
As color permeated the ground
Out of the shadowy darkness
I heard a horrible sound
"You do not belong here
I command you to go away
You are in the land of darkness
You must listen to what I say"
I kept on moving forward
Not sure what I would see
Where was the voice coming from
I looked behind a tree
Light and color expanded
Traveling up straight to the skies
The entity that so scared me
Was right before my eyes
As my shoes banished the darkness
The entity was reduced to tears
Without the aid of shadows
He couldn't tap into my fears
I then reached down to touch him
I told him that he was safe
He looked up with confusion
As I gazed upon his face
"Are you here to destroy me?
Have you come to take me away?
There is a purpose for shadows
They create hope for brighter days."
I heard what he was saying
The shadows have their reason
In order for spring to come
We need a darker season
So I removed my yellow shoes
Watched as the shadows returned
It was time for me to go home
With this strange lesson I had learned

The darkness at noon - We’ve been led
to walk with a blossoming dread
through streets, as if we have no will,
and all the world is strangely still.
We walk - no word among us said.
We all had seen the sky grow red
before our sun, which warmed us, fled!
It only stayed with us until
the darkness at noon.
Our lungs can breathe. We have not bled,
but we are now the living dead,
for all around us grows a chill
upon the earth. Gone is the thrill
of light and life! We see instead
the darkness at noon!

Darkness Where Now Poe And Raven Reside,
(Part One)
As the Raven cross into the dark pits
Those in torment went into heaving fits
Its shrieking calls, alarms even down there
Far worse its image to dying souls scare
With great trepidation some turned to Poe
Begging, master far away make it go
Poe only smiled, saying, come now my pet
I have far, far sweeter work for you yet.
As Raven lands on Poe's black-stone table
Spits out two bloody and half eaten hands
Asks, does this remind you of that fable
Promising keys to kingdom's treasured lands
Given to a man willing and able
Freeing princess, her captor's sword withstand
Where death's deeds and bloody might enables
Morbid masterpieces of art so grand.
From all around, their banter brought loud moans
From wretched sinners in that dark hell cast
Raven spoke in wicked, evil tones
I toyed with her, to make my pleasure last
Poe commanded, Raven, please no more of that
We are here to enjoy the pleasant scenes
And in our deep joy, grow lazy and fat
Let us not her poor soul thus so demean.
Raven again spoke, come now we need pain
And louder wailing that soothes a black heart
For what good is torture if has no gain
Or tearful pleadings that come as it starts
Master, order yon' demon band to play
For I shall fly above and watch you dance
Let us enjoy sadder cries on this day
With evil's first bride, a little romance.
Poe then rose to do as his pet wanted
Poe laughed and said, Raven dear, please be nice
Let not our blackened pride thus be flaunted
When bit better decorum would suffice.
With that he motioned demon band to play
Its favorite and first great monstrous hit
As waiting victims begged that they may
Have some relief from their torturous fits.

I'm laced
in sherbet flakes,
swirling in aching wind~
as the sun sails amidst somber
silence
stars scatter secrets
in silver across moonlit
skies that shimmer hope..
echoing as diamond-dreams
upon hushed sighs of sorrow.
listen to my heartbeat drifting through caged darkness~time unravels truth…

* DARKNESS of the LIGHT *
Those that fear the dark,
Have never seen what the light can do.
In this grave, I will leave no mark.
Knowing the tunnel light, is the way God scr3ws with you.
I have no soul to sell,
Someone jacked my free ticket to hell.
I lived all my life on the verge of a broken dream.
My will locked behind this iron cell.
Only he can hear me scream!
My own prisoner in this bottle shell.
To fear the dark is the devil's scheme.
Watch me as I remove my own shackles from my limbs.
Towards the light, I will never redeem.
A full flavor laugh,
For he that fears the darkness, and walks the light alone.

In order to obtain true freedom in our lives
Close your eyes and see the light of an angel
Wondering what this life is really all about
That it will guide you to a brighter place without turns
Thoughts about the night with a last kiss will be my end
As night becomes desperate to sleep
Tenderly rocked in your loving arms
Seduced by the dark side hiding ghosts roam
Desperation within hopeless pleas, the angel wings are broken
After walking on coals fired inside aches burning
It hurts so bad, the emotions of losing control
Show me the way love in true heavenly beauties charm
Let's break the chains burning without fire
In your power shines a beacon starlight
The pain, the demons leave inside causing our sins
Strong within it's beam pierces through the gates of hell
I can hardly breathe, in this dream where nobody dies
Forgiving past sins kisses everything better
The eyes are not blind, a rainbow of sorrow shines
Breaking free from chains of a pain linked curse
Could it be we have chosen exactly the right words of love
I am not your resistance building castles in the sky without storms
Born in the republic swept a\way within a dream swept away
I'll walk with you through the age of eternities golden gate bridge

There is no more I need to know
We're lost in the night;
Washed in the candle glow
Of shimmering light.
*
In this moment longings flare
The time is now;
So much we have to share.
*
Hear the night wind as it sings
It fans the fire;
Remove your things.
*
The darkness dances and dips
The firelight flickers and falls
From your toes to your lips
As shadows skim the walls.

Mysterious, under my skin.

It was deep dark, silence roaming outside
if I couldn't see and hear, it is myself to chide
the urge within pushed my fright aside
time to open the gates of my soul wide.
My journeys I used to have on my own
seeking sheer thrill in my serene zone
for what I painfully miss, I strive to atone
thriving when every ounce in me is full and grown.
The lure of a wonder seized my powers
breaking through my walls and towers
an ocean unearthing my grain and flowers
weeding out what is in my soil ugly and sour.
What reached my soul was so profound, so austere
it is beyond my feel, something I awe and fear
the mysteries in books were to me so clear
and in life, through deep darkness unable to steer.
To raw Nature I carried my tribulation
along with a torturing silence and lamentation
seeking spiritual guidance and revelation
Almighty God, help me not to succumb to temptation!
And here I am, with my words touching my solid earth
carving a clear voice of woe and mirth
aspiring to feed an inner sense of worth
as an avid reader accords my poetry a rebirth.

Shaken birds shrill cry across darkened sky,
Awaken to the biting cold wind howls.
Taken by flash of lighting pulsing heart,
Forsaken stretch of night as thunder scowls.
Lost in the darkness, of pounding chill rain,
Tossed round from the flicker of leaves and trees.
Accost the meager unvarying light.
Frost thins to a slight glimmer quick to seize.

Darkness Where Now Poe And Raven Reside,
(Part Two)
Song over, Poe told demon band to leave
And then pointed to the now empty stage
Wretched souls, look as thy lost spirit grieves
I present this new contest- all the rage
Blood and gore will flame your dark desires
Giving some respite from thy crying pleas
In dire conflict, comes death and fire
No weak romance, on love, birds and the bees
Suddenly cast there a hero alive!
In scant armor and flesh soaked in red blood
How this mere mortal had fought to survive
His legs covered in fresh, battlefield mud
Slow to rise, but so defiantly proud
His eyes gleaming with courage Heaven sent
Then yet another crash so very loud
From lightning, its power blasted and spent.
From that flash came a monstrous beast so great
With power from fangs and dagger-like claws
Dragon of massive scale, thick armor plate
Able to spew fire from massive jaws
At first glance it sighted the hero there
Bellowing out with its accursed breath
From thy flesh my claws will now rip and tear
Until that mortal body meets thy death.
Alas! Thy foul breath has no greater foe
Its effects are horrendous unto me...
Yet there is more than even you beast know-
Stronger are roots from my ancestral tree
Send forth thy evil, hottest flaming blast
As my great shield in its glory holds true
Thy fate, thy end has now came at long last
This brighter new dawn, shall be your end too!
Master Poe laughed with his booming voice
Stepping back, giving their battle more room
Announcing this is my gift, my first choice
Entertaining you, pleasure seeing sweet doom
This hero, with mercy I gave his shield
And his scant armor to give him a chance
Battling to the death, neither can yield
Here comes blood and guts, no feeble romance!

The river waved good bye

Sitting In The Dark, With Darkness Covering Me
Sitting in the dark, hearing voices in the hall
remembering my many lovers, one and all.
Some that sent my heart aloft, on heavenly flights
others that kept me company on lonely nights.
Sitting in the dark, seeing true beauties once known
then, the fairest of gardens, never overgrown.
Night waning, those echoes, their honey-drenching calls
also remind me, of my many faults and falls!
Sitting in the dark, with darkness covering me
begging each, please forgive me, what I did to thee.
Silence, as each lover then slowly fades away
Ah yes, we mortals, for our sins we have to pay!
Dawn's morning rays, broke me from that dreaming trance.
Were we wrong seeking too much in youthful romance?

One lives on the memory
Never letting it go
Always holding as a memorial
The recollection within
Where only the heart knows
To celebrate a life
One longs to just forget
And let go of the pain
That reminds of a past
Filled with joy
They thought would last
Joy that is no more
Neither of them knows
Why death came to call
Or why their loved one died
Leaving them with this memory
To hold onto or forget
Without relief for the grief
One lives on the memory
While the other longs to forget
Neither of them is wrong, you see
Grief is like a very bad dream
Sometimes eased by memories
Other times, comforted by oblivion
Always touching the heart, the thoughts
The very soul who knows this place
Is all that is left of a heart who loved
And gave them the reassurance, the hope
Of a life that would forever bring sparkle
To those who touched this kind, tender soul
To remember is divine – so pleasant
Forgetting is inspired by God
Who knows that a memory can harm
The heart who loves beyond words
And listens to the heartache within
Without feeling the relieving peace…
… from One who defeats death’s dark dread
Listen to Jesus and be freed
From the sorrow and sadness
The anguish of bereavement
Listen to Jesus… He relieves
Listen to Jesus… Just believe

This darkness overwhelmes me yet a glow it lights my path
a fire burns inside me to defrost the winters wrath
This weight I bear suppresses hope and brings me to my knees
Yet someone here has heard my moans and calms my raging seas
Time and time again I fall, so wearily I tread
But then appears an outstretched hand, and nothing more is said
she lifted me beyond the precipice of laden fears
embraced me in her tenderness and wiped away my tears
This lonliness that fills the space where joy did once reside
Is lessened by a friendly soul, with whom I can confide
Heavens light sent from above, a stepping stone of hope
Placed along this winding road to help this blind man cope
