Converging Daydreams

The laughter of a thousand years,
The tears of a thousand waterfalls,
Converge and reflect,
Rainbows of seven colors,
Raining on a misty morning,
only puddles in the street,
You sit by a warm fire,
Guessing when the rain will stop,
Building daydreams as you look outside,
Everything will bloom soon,
Violets will grow,
Catching butterflies,
Watching them fly away,
Swimming in cool blue streams,
Feeling the suns' warmth,
The daydreams of a thousand years,
Combined in one as I look outside,
The rain drawing out my soul,
Until I feel empty watching you,
You seem far away,
A blank yet peaceful face,
The rainbow emerges,
Far beyond our full sight,
The rain stops,
You still sit,
Beside a warm fire,
Reflecting on daydreams,
Past.

Converging Paths

Alone in the dark
I did walk
on the outside looking in.
Wanting to fit in.
To find a place to call home.
Little did I know,
you walked the same line.
Our paths parallel one to another.
One rainy summer morning
I threw a sharp curve
and our lives did converge.
Our paths no longer were two,
down one lane we did emerge
walking as one, united,

Premium Member Converging Roads

Two friends converge along life's stormy road
as destiny is whispering in their ears,
"Don't wander past this gift I have bestowed,
the love that you've been seeking all these years."

They halt within their tracks and contemplate
upon the voice and what they hear it say.
It softly tells them of that one soul mate
who'll brighten up their life with each new day.

They deeply look into each other's eyes
and wonder if the words they hear ring true.
This revelation takes them by surprise
yet in their spirit shines a light brand new.

Though joined upon this path their lives are split
so destiny’s plans could be in vain.
Yet burning strong within is the fire they've lit
in hope that fate's decision will remain.

Upon this road they'll travel apart
until the time they're free to choose once more.
They'll keep this treasured gift within their heart
and wait the day true love they can explore.

The lattice of the flowing life so very complex
Spreads on the plateau of time of no ends
Woven in a fashion beyond comprehension
Needs the handiwork of an intelligent designer.

In search of the unseen creator of destiny
Hoping to be saved from the storm in the sea of life
We follow the ritualistic paths of different religions
To worship the common God for His benign blessings.

When the religion becomes the pious way of life
It teaches us to surrender to the Almighty for solace.

The creator engraves His indelible image within us
Enveloped by the introspective mindfulness
Travelling inward on the undefined spiritual path
We discover the eternal core of our essence (Atman).

The pristine petals of the lotus of insight unfurl
In the serene soul illumined by the godly glow
It enters the sanctum of divine consciousness
Finds the mortal agony melt in the pool of peace.

Striving in their own way to get the grace of God
The two paths converge in search of the eternal truth

Paths Converging

In a vibrant forest green and alive,
Two trails met under the radiant sky.
With excitement, I thought to embrace the expanse,
Seeing each pathway as a wondrous dance.

One seemed well-worn, by many a foot,
Its direction clear, its purpose put.
The other, though traveled, offered surprise,
A mix of the known and the undisguised.

That day, neither path was chosen alone,
For I found a friend, and together we've grown.
Adventures we've shared, memories we keep,
The journey more joyful with company deep.

In future, when stories of past I recite,
With a smile, not a sigh, I'll recount that light:
When paths converged in that forest so grand,
Together we walked, hand in hand.
