Premium Member When the Dust Finally Settles
Oh why oh why don't you clean your room
I wish I had heeded my mother’s words
For I’m sure many a mother has said this to their child
But fate intervened and the dust still hasn’t settled -
In fact I’ve not spoken to my mother for over...

Premium Member Freedom's Fragile Chains
Overcrowded prisons,
brings joy to early released criminals.
Taxpayers may be happy,
but there's predators at playgrounds,
rapists at bars,
stalkers, stalking,
violent hooligans back at matches,
abusers contacting their exes,
jealous lovers beating new spouses.
Mobs on the streets,
will only bring mayhem,
unless vigilantes rise,
whilst the police hide.
Who will protect the traumatised victims?

Premium Member Birthday Wishes, Tom Cunningham 2-16

I made a scrumptious chocolate birthday cake just for you
My only wish, I could deliver it, across the pond to you!

For two years straight, you stood behind me daily.
A trophy, you do deserve, not one day, but three
hundred sixty five, times two, for contacting by
comment...

Now you dread, why are you waiting
Open it

I love you
It should be us
You should be here with me
We'd be having a hell of a time
I'm...

Behind Closed Doors
I am tired
I am weak
I am fragile

I sit in the corner
My weary head rests on bent bruised knees
The dark and musty room reflects how I feel inside
My bloodstained clothes are torn
I sob into my dress
As I sit
Behind closed doors

Salty tears sting my face
Pain sears through...

A Christmas memory
By Curtis Johnson

Contacting a generous grocer, we secured a discount of a vital...

Premium Member Riding the Romantic Comedy Rollercoaster
Into the darkness with adventurous fantasies at stake
Wondering how much this creative experience
Will actually make
It was only a few months ago
One’s mind played out the moving picture show
A funny friendly rollercoaster ride the characters did take
Following an author’s imaginary...

Godzilla Dreams

My little dragon is growing up. I do believe he’s just had his first crush.
In his cave with a sign ‘To Enter, Beware’, are Godzilla posters everywhere.
And he talks about her non-stop, all day long, Godzilla this, and Godzilla that.
This morning he mentioned contacting...

There once was a place called Poetrysoup
Where poets from across the world could post
But contacting them with comments and such
Proved to be impossible for there was no host.

So since you read each poets...
