Premium Member Stargazer

Amidst greenery
Such beauty abounds in bloom
Reaching to the sky
This Oriental Lily
Shows gorgeous colouration

.
The Stargazer lily was created in 1974 by Leslie Woodriff, a lily breeder in California. Woodriff called the new cross 'Stargazer', because the blooms faced towards the sky.

Premium Member Blame

A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else. John Burroughs

This is not a sad poem,
but my hungry hands hunger to express,
as autumn brings back haunting hues,
stinging my sleeping soul.
All I hear is melancholic tones,
whistling in mercenary winds,
lifting leaves from bare branches.
Bright colours turning grisly grey,
as the season of death,
creates a grave full of misery.

I cannot forever criticise ghosts,
nor refuse to visit your tomb.

As each petal slowly fades,
I'm too tired to accuse or be accused.
I've formed into a personified weeping willow,
releasing rivers of bitterness through raindrops.
In my nakedness, I resemble their withering woes,
trying to smile, composing a suicide of emotions,
dangling, distracting from that which is real,
but my muteness is literally slaying my pain.

Why am I always the one to blame?

I do not feel safe in the angst of Autumn,
for my essence is not eternally evergreen.
I'm fatigued from those who claim to love me,
unable to save me from sinking into seas of sorrow.
My selfish friends are like silent marionettes,
nowhere to be seen nor heard,
abandoning me in the darkest corner,
despite my pen pouring like October rain.

Maybe this is a sad poem,
as I still search for forgiveness.
I keep the faith that my roots will bloom again,
because I am a vibrant child of summer,
yearning for the return of colouration.
Adapting to living without answers.

“Animate with love, each moment
Enhancing thus, our bliss quotient”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Awareness untouched by love is barren
Throb of love is our innate aliveness
Canvas we paint our own colouration
Let the music resonate lovingness
Granted free will, thinking manifests life
Aiding alignment with love upon earth
Ego urges us to engage in strife
Whilst love blissful joy forever in mirth
Radiant emptiness bliss mist aglow
Abiding in this silence we are free
Feeling and colouring life as it flows
Each moment we renew our joy entrée
Be mindful, oh hermit, embrace the now
Follow the scent of love, sweet and mellow
Premium Member Who Am I
our awareness confined to body-mind
to navigate life our ego identity was born
to the truth of being, cognition remained blind
thus what was boon now bane till ego was shorn
discarding all knowing including imagined concepts
silence layers silence until silence alone remains
realms, gods and boons the usual suspects
colouration any, all these are chains
what emerges when duality ends
it is the absolute truth transcendental
no one comes, no one goes, no one ascends
it is a recognition of true being, beyond the mental
To Rap Or Not To Wrap
Wrap, rap a Christmas wrap
open the mind turn on the tap,
a roll of paper with colouration
metres or yards without perforation,
to be carefully folded with a gift inside
a present for the season you wanna hide,
it'll add to excitement on Christmas day
when the careful wrapping will be thrown away
after being opened by rip and tear
to reveal slippers, socks, or underwear.
Rap, wrap a Christmas rap
not quite a minefield but still a trap,
would you begin with 'w' or wiith an 'r'
because starting with a 'c' would be a carp too far,
so rap or wrap it's a dit's time to nap
and when you awaken from the alcoholic cup
it's time for you and the washing-uo,
the drying of the crocks will be the last lap
it's time to slip into your Christmas Wrap,
now cosy and warm and the whiskey in reach
as once again you've missed HM's speech,
the broadcast and your nap did not overlap,
surprise, surprise, you missed her Christmass RAP.
So this must do there's no need to clap
it's only twelve months to pick rap or wrap.
now is the time, it's over, this is a WRAP.
Never Again, To Regain the Past, I Thunder Why
Yesterday, was an adolescent,
while we where the innocuous fluorescence that lighted up the floral hopes of the sun and transformed it's smile, into a cheerful full moon.
The sky was always brightly dressed up with colourful fireworks, and sometimes it looked overdressed, due to; too much colouration of fireworks lightning outburst.
This graced up our hearts with excessive Christmas diamond feelings.
The environment, was always busy with traditional Masquerading, carol carnivals, religious activities, youthful vigil, commitment vigilance, less happiness on clutches, less money impetuosity, less darkness but more rituals, less churches, less hunger and thunderous envy, less death, more tottering and loitering from mango tree to mango, invading people's gardens for fun.
Back then, the rich neatly did; car racing, house racing, bicycle racing and duck hunt and also watched black and white television,
but all we enjoyably did, was hide and seek, played draft and ludo game, beetle hunt and most importantly; native fowl hunt,  because we didn't have to go the markets to buy native fowls, they were plenty not owned fowls to save our black and white hunger.
We also bought plenty things with just one naira note, and the balance kept coming, and we never stopped buying until our pockets purged.
Although, the money was surely more than enough to waste,
but as kids, we never got staved of spending,
this is because everything we saw, looked like waterfalls from heaven.
We took so many childhood risks; we sneaked out of school, and engaged in far journey to other States, to attend trade fairs, without money on us to shop, the only money we always had in pockets, where transport fair, which we have saved for weeks from our feeding money.
Me especially as a teenager, I preferred the forest behind my school than the classroom, because it felt to me, that I understood the language of trees, birds, and crickets, more than that of my classmates and teachers, this made me choose, 'George of the jungle', 'the gods must be crazy' and 'Going Banana' as my most adored movies.
I thunder so sadly,
because never again shall all this youthful moments and feelings, breeze by again like a born again wind.
Hidden Treasure
It`s always inspiring to be strong in appearance,
Brave to catch up the essentiality of the sun.
How marvelous the wind blows to beat the sensations as one.
Yes, the pride is deep for BLACK skin to have fun.
The complexion is natural to be undermined,
Are you black?
Don`t be left in deceptive truck.
The image of black soothes what is meant of beauty.
Beauty that empowers the black skin to mindfully brag.
Beauty which carries protective substances against crack,
In fact, the beauty which possess a unique mark.
It`s all about black skin.
What are the definitions of black skin?
The skin which is naturally rich in melanin,
Black skin shields the body from folate depletion,
Making rightful protection against ultraviolet with adorable colouration.
Even in the heat of savannas, black skin provides cooling mechanism which develop more efficient perspiration.
If you think “BLEACHING” is a solution,
Bleaching is rather a termination.
And not a route to set one upon the mountain to receive lovable attraction.
It aims at pulling down the magical compositions of black skin into deterioration.
Leaving behind unbearable diseases and problems which turns out to place one in frustration.
The age of black is unpredictable,
It’s the skin which causes many to be humble,
it creates the feelings of being cherishable and affable.
Every story about black skin is expensive.
At the center of public, it is seductive…
Black skin fits in all attire perfectly with magnificent sensitives.
Before the rain, it looks charming and appreciative.
Exquisite of black skin, expresses its ebonics to be communicative.
Who can buy its glory?
I mean the glory which had brought motivations from multiples of personalities within the world entertainment in every gallery.
The motivations from Martin Luther, Mohamed Ali, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Pele, Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt and many others who are in memory.
Who maintained their precious black skin and exerted influence out of its value.
Perhaps, if you think your black skin is failing you,
Black skin is the most valuable gemstone found in morning dew.
Eghe - Time-
In these Days, We Prayed
April 12, 2013
ÉGHÉ (Time)
?
WÉGHÉ'
With time
The barren becomes pregnant
With time
The pregnant woman becomes a mother
With time
the mother becomes a daughter
With time
The married woman becomes a widow
With time
The childless widow becomes an object
Of obscurity and weak pity.
With time
An hero's deeds are told as stories
While great events become myths
And Once-Upon-A-Time.
For with time
Mountains metamorphose to sand
Rivers turn farmland
And Hills reduce to slime.
And time
frowns nor smiles on nothing
neither does he give nor take anything
for only a fool boast with a dime.
Oh time
you are too slow but yet so fast
For our tomorrow becomes yesterday
Like the uncertain colouration of a lime.
Man is a slave to time
As all men will answer to the call of time.
For the authority he exacts is divine
Nothing happens without the
Consent of time.
The past is Time
The present is Time
The future is Time
And Éghé himself is
Time..
African Kolanut
I see a seed of white colouration,
And pink pigmentation.
Manually easy to divide,
Not ritually difficult to provide.
I see the financially easy to handle,
A culturally accepted candle.
Announcer of a host’s good wishes,
Much more treasured than his dishes.
A proof of the giver’s honest intention
And summary of his cheerful disposition.
Alligator pepper is its errand boy,
Content to seem all through its toy:
Garden eggs readily surrendering its portfolio,
Their services adjusted relatively hollow.
Very correct to link it with West Africa
And just as flawless with The Tropical;
Consumer keep impressing its pleasant bitterness:
A continual patience with its induced giddiness…
The gods are served the best  kolanut
To have the mouth of Evil amazingly shut!
Speak, speak yes nobody
will listen to a sound
of yours and too your foot steps
if it means to be here
or there
because there is
something fake concerning
a card that is blinking how
  and still oh!
for there is a blinking
red light on, indicating
that there is a colouration
in electricity
could it be that is a way
noned, since
oh! you may dust
but not this daughter
for a straight
boldly uncorruptible
and serve in truth and love.
Premium Member The Joy Continuum
awareness self aware
of dark veils of ignorance
shrouding our consciousness
rotates polarity of sentience
to view inner luminescence
the offered enablement
seen by periscope vision
is then scrutinised by ego
by jaundiced perception
in dimmed colouration
once baton of awareness
shifts into the void internal
we must rest our lower mind
trusting cognition spherical
to behold God’s miracle
for detachment complete
let us celebrate our delusion
resting our head at His feet
in continuum of meditation
heart radiant in elation
looking around in wonder
nestled in quiet contentment
bliss in-pours as vibrant thunder
as we view life in astonishment
delighting in soul unfoldment
A simple physical breath recitation
For we cannot yet call it meditation
Gently inhaling we pause at the heart
Likewise pause at crown when breath departs
Breathing thus with pause of cessation
Thoughts may come & go as of ego suggestion
We gradually lengthen the practice duration
Flow of breath regardless of thought agitation
Simply positioning attention during the voids
Alternating at heart & crown therein buoyed
What happens thus is assigning priority
Getting to the divine in stuporous simplicity
By merely performing an exercise in lengthening time
Until the divine relents and we we hear the chime
Within
Footnote:
Such is the exposition
But there is no imposition
Possibly it may not resonate
Unless thought rested we meditate
We may then thus tweak what is written
Like a spirited horse not do as bidden
Adding to this doing our own colouration
Of love seeking love via breath meditation
Why not?
as by ourself chosen
colouration a co-creation
be it nectar or poison
Thus moment to moment
be we joyous or terse
our contemplation potent
a gift to the universe
Liken space as God,
as the womb of existence,
that’s in but not of the world.
Made in God’s image,
we transmit to Him by touch,
colouration of contrast.
