Premium Member Mankind's Greatest Mystery (Inspired By Chris Higgins)

If 2012 prophesies prove true
And Earth’s life cycles again renew
Mysteries of man will be more than a few

Challenges may await future life forms
With intellects far surpassing our norm
Created to live without doing harm

For if they decipher man’s history
What will they make of our great mystery
The one we refer to as bigotry

Black labs, gold retrievers live side by side
Wild stallions and mustangs on prairies ride
Both red ants and black, free to colonize

Man’s refusal to accept differences
To wiser beings may make no sense
What in man’s makeup can give it credence?

Earth’s subsequent creatures may reproduce
Not needing two sexes to call a truce
So mating rituals may be pursued

A single-sex species might not comprehend
Why women workers were paid less than men
And why “free speech” was not just a given

Questions would most certainly arise
How a believer in God denies
Rights to free worship without compromise

And how could so many wars be waged
Evoking God’s name in death-march crusades
With killing, torturing in every age

Indeed such mysteries in man’s history
Would leave a perplexing legacy
Sure to confound any new species

New cultures may thrive on diversity
Of religion and genealogy
And speak of our inferiority

Note: This is dedicated to Christopher Higgins whose poems about prejudice inspire readers
to do more than just think about one of the greatest ills in our society.

Should doomsday prophesies prove true

I think they painted it all red
so that we’d think it really dead
get the thought out of our head
they would let us share a bed.

Perhaps they hacked Mars “google maps”
to screw up our best thinkers caps
installed the “red-dead” planet app
in brownish shade of crusty past

to insure we’d change our mind
look elsewhere in our search to find
another place to colonize
after this one slowly dies.

They have watched our pestilence
defy the laws of common sense
will not succumb to our pretense
good neighbors do not need a fence.

I Am Moonbee

" I Am MoonBee ... "

( Matt. 5: 14 - 16 )

I Am The Full Moon Rising
... and The Faithful Bee That Stings
I Bear The Sweet Drops of Honey
and Wear Lunar-Eclipses' Rings ...

... and once in a blue moon
or in the final moon of blood
I will wax and than wane
... and ride tidal waves to floods
( Acts 2: 17-20, 21 )

I Am The Silvery Moon
That Makes Night Oceans Gleam
... and The Bee Upon The Blossoms
In Seasons of Summer and Spring ...

... and once in a harvest moon
glowing generous and golden
I gather gardens, like bees
storing & spreading nectar-pollen

Yet As The Full Moon Rises
and As The Bee Soars & Stings
The Brave, Little Bee Prepares To Die
As Moon Despairs Behind Cloud-Screens ...

... and Peeks Out As A Half-Moon
Yet - Still, Busy As A Bee
Still Reflecting Light & Truth
As Pure & Sweet As Fresh Honey ...

I Am The Crescent-Shape Moon
and The Bee's Honeycomb
and The Heart-Chamber of My Hive
Holds Moons 'Neath Heaven's Throne ...

I Am The Halo-Spotted Moon
and The Sound of Humming Bees
In Prayer-Swarms of Sacred Songs
I Declare In Moonlit-Melodies ...

... and once by a midnight moon
in marching scenes of sky
set as signs & times & cycles
& measure-symbols for earthkind's eyes
( Gen. 1: 14-18 )

I Am The Full Moon Rising
Yet Falling Softly Upon Seas
That Care & Colonize Like Bees
& Bear Messages of Great Kings ...
( Matt. 28: 18, 19, 20 )

... and once in a hunter's moon
in shades of yellow and black
there shone glimpses of paths & visions
where moon kept sight & tracks

I've A Luminary Lamp
Like The Moon In Full Glory
I've A Duty To People & Purpose
Like A Queen Bee's Story ...

I Am The Full Moon Rising
... and The Faithful Bee That Stings
Yet, I Share Much Healing Honey
and Bear Many, Bright Moonbeams ...

- for I am the devout MoonBee
pollinating & polishing dreams -

The Future Is Coming

the future is comingwriting.com prompt

the future is upon us
as we live
in a SF world

the question remains
will the future be bright
and filled with hope
will we overcome climate change
and repair the broken dying world

will humanity take to the stars
leaving behind our planet
as we colonize the solar system
and invent faster than light
interplanetary travel

will the future be a dark Orwellian nightmare
will fascism take over the world
starting in the United States
as democracy dies not in the dark
but in the bright light of day

as the public embraces
fascisms applauding
the end of our freedoms
in the vain hopes
that will save us all

will the evil AI
take over the world
unleashing endless robot wars
screaming death to all humans?

the old song says
que sera seara
the future is not
for us to see

but I hope and pray
that in these dark dangerous times
we can overcome

and end up with the vision
of hope transforming the world
and not end up
with the dark Orwellian future
that I fear is our fate

Unless of course
the AI robots
kill us first

Love Is a War

There is something that I can't understand
Something blinds me when I look in your eyes
It makes my heart tremble
Can't help it I'm sweating
Wanna run away but my body seems frozen
Oh don’t you know?
Love is a deadly virus
Once colonize your veins
You become addicted
And if you wanna give up
You have a contract to sign up
Leave your heart and go
Or take it with you broken.
If I have to choose between life or death I'd rather die in your depth
At least you won't forget about me until your last breath
You might say I'm cruel
Oh baby I don't wanna play the fool
Love is a war I can destroy the world to get ya
And even if the sky explodes over my top
And the ground is shaking under my foot and the waves swallow my bone
My heart will never stop beating for you
Yeah love is a war that I don't wish to lose
Love is a fray between fear and valor
Either take the risk till the end or forget about it and move on
But since I've fell for you your love is nourishing my blood
And there’s nothing else I'd care about
Cause baby I love you and I will never stop fighting for you
Here in my valley there's no white flag above my door
And in my head it's now and ever or let’s die together

This Hair

The hair sits on my head like it's a throne
And I'm a heir to the heritage
Generations of my people passed this
crown on to me
You may call it nappy but don't sleep on
my royalty
I'm king-sized, never belittling myself of
feeling ashamed for the way it grows
above my brain
Or the way it rises to greet the rain
The way every strand curls, strives and strains
to make a home above the atmosphere
While you want to look at it in fear
Disdain, and wonder
Ponder with entitled and greedy hands
that violate our space the way you once did our lands
Hands that want to colonize the body of a continent
And plunder it for its contents
Don't ask for consent before you take what you want
The afro, cornrows,
twists, and braids
Never mind where it came from or why
they were made
You want locks without the dread of
having them shaved to save chances
of getting a job just so you can be paid
You want it all just so you can look "cool"
Nevermind all of us that get kicked out of
school, banned from pools, and told that we look like fools
All for being ourselves and expressing our pride
Want to take all the "nice" aspects of being black
but would never take the full ride
While we actually have to hide
Temper it
Take snide, rude, and smart remarks just
for a part of us that does what it does naturally
If I'm gonna be myself anywhere in this
country I have to do it aggressively
Unapologetically
I won't be a slave to standards that
hamper my individuality or expression
So to hell with what you say, think, or
the way you look at me
I don't care
Because I'm gonna wear this hair proudly

The Modern Generation

The modern generation
Is coming all the way
To colonize the old one to get it’s accommodation
It’s encouraging many people
To welcome it’s arrival
But once it’s welcomed
There is no survival

It’s taking away many people especially teenagers
With very simple measures
It’s attracting the south pole and the north pole
By giving them someone to go for
And that’s why people are dying in fours;
A girl, a boy, and a pair of two models
The models of the two
The models who showed the two what to do in their clue
At different times they were born
But at the same time they are gone

Take a look at the boys of today on the way
They pull the short down as if the shorts overweigh
They wear huge hats which are so wide
And turn them around to balance the head on the other side
Isn’t it too heavy to crash the brain
Isn’t it too heavy to use up the digested grain

Ah! Your parent s must have been tired of feeding you advise
They must have been tired of being kind and nice
They are just waiting for the time when the white clouds will become grey
And rain will fell from their eyes on this day
They will just worry and burry you in a day
And forget about you because you made them loose their hope
They are tired of having commas
This time they have a full stop

Ancient Astronauts From Mars?

Is that a sphinx we see on Mars
      Resembling the one in Egypt
Just how were the pyramids built
And pharaohs placed in lavish crypts

When Mars’ oceans began to dry
     Did species seek preservation
Did ancient astronauts arrive
     To colonize a new nation

To date, the complex construction
     Of Egypt’s tombs sparks speculation
Are Martians in man’s family tree
     Hanging limbs, green blood relations

Self Imposed

Dedicate to human rights Mr. Anna Hazare activist that fought for free corrupt Indian society.
this poem is a result of my disappointment.
Inhabitable lineal consanguinity, paraphernalia under the subordination.
A resourceful visible Bond, to colonize the characteristic of vocation.
To command inhabited Living, to obtain Ledger of human grace,
Aristocrat, Barbarian excommunication, excellence of allocation.
Mom says,’ Son’ go and sleep’ rising Sun brings bounded calculation’.

Intensive, restraint viscosity reliance, consciousness of annihilation,
A grain roaster, provocative nobler, a big bundle of convocation.
Bubbling well being blazed meandering futurist contrivance face,
A winnover shabby, recommital mumpish, a rational versification.
A readymade self imposed Leader fatal solubility calcumination.

Mum says,’ Son, ‘go and sleep, optimist opportunist evaluating eternity’.
Mom never says,’ son, ‘go and fight’ recarnation is a mean formality’.

SAY ADIEU TO EUROPE AS IT EDDIES TO THE DRAIN
THE DEMISE WILL BE SLOW WITH BLOOD WITH PAIN
THERE IS AN INVASION ALL EUROPE IS UNDER SIEGE
BY DEDICATED JIHADISTS DISGUISED AS REFUGEES
THEY WILL SLOWLY COLONIZE INTO URBAN CENTERS
OBEYING SHARIAH DEMANDED BY THEIR MENTORS

THEY WILL REFUSE TO ACCEPT LOCAL TRADITIONS
AMASS LARGE AREAS FOR ISLAMIC IMPOSITIONS
ESTABLISH NO GO ZONES TABOO FOR THE LOCALS
CALL TO PRAYER RITUALS WITH ARABIC VOCALS
ONCE SETTLED WILL COME CONSTANT AGITATIONS
CAUSING RIOTS AND UNENDING PROVOCATIONS

AVOIDING BEING CALLED RACIST LOCALS CEDE
YIELDING TRADITIONS TO SATE INVADERS’ NEED
LOOKING AROUND OSLO YOU’LL THINK ITS IRAN
WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLAXEN HAIRED BEAUTIES GONE
THEY’RE IN HIDING AVOIDING THE LEWD FOCUS
OF MEDIEVAL SAVAGES THE MODERN DAY LOCUSTS

EVENTUALLY THE LOCALS WILL BECOME AWARE
BUT IT MAY COME LATE FOR THOSE IN DESPAIR
IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE GENEROSITIES WOES
OFFERED TO INGRATES THAT ARE IDEOLOGICAL FOES
HOUSING, FOOD AND FREEDOM IS OPENLY FURNISHED
A JOYOUS SPIRIT OF GOODWILL FOREVER TARNISHED

History's Place

Cro mag non man was a birth of a nation
Crete led the way for civilized creation
The Etruscans became the first Mediterranean power
Indo Europeans Settled Europe as others cower
The Aryans in India established a civilization
The Nile valley would be dominated by Egyptians

Chorus
We've once again taken history’s place
To show again we are the face
Our past is forbidden , the truth is hidden
We've once again taken history’s place

300 Spartans showed what there courage could do
Alexander The Greats strength was unmatched by few
Rome led 1000 years of prosperity before the decline
The Visigoths chased the Huns back over the European line
7 crusades led by a Christians to stem Islam
Ferdinand and Isabella condemned the Moorish harm

chorus

Everyone feared the fury of the pagan vikings of the north
Napoleon Bonaparte would bring military genius forth
The British empire would colonize every land
William Wallace bravely fought for the freedom of Scotland
The Teutonic knights helped spread across Europe Christianity
The 30 years of Christian wars brought nothing but insanity

Chorus

Expansion of discovery could never be touched
The United states would rise and the British would be crushed
The south would rebel for liberty and freedom
The British would slice the throat of the Ottoman kingdom
The first brothers war was thought to be the final stand
The Afrikaners fought relentless for the right of there land

chorus

The Bolshevik revolution brought a new plague into the world
The Germans brought a new hope as the banners were unfurled
All of Europe would unite under the waffen for it's European identity
The Marxist hippie movement brought moral hygiene to it's knees
Now it's the today and we have to keeping fighting for a new tomorrow
We must secure our destiny and keep having our history grow

The teacher dies having made her small contribution
to the colonization of other planets by motivating
a boy who would otherwise be a coal miner to become
a rocket engineer.
                           Throughout the nation teachers
are sending their prize pupils through the funnel
flask to produce technology from pure science.
The mother and father are good, disciplined, god-
fearing people who stand firm against dissolution
and chaos. They hold their clod of soil in place
and others do the same to create the landscape
of community.
                     Communities across the nation
and the world produce the many to support the few
who make the tools and do the math to colonize
the planets. Once the secret of warp speed is
discovered, expansion of the species is
limitless.
Perhaps it is not a direct contribution
to destiny, yet some stories may be told
for centuries.
                    It takes constantly renewed
consciousness to persevere, retell the stories
and interpret lessons. You go, girl.

Just a casual experiment, a new direction,
a bit of slime, residue of past process
left unattended in a remote corner obscure,
to grow, to morph, divide in diverse pattern.

Smaller than simple sight by naked eye,
infinitesimal in worlds order, just one cell.
Born of circumstance by casual curiosity,
by result of neglect, a consequential oversight.

To prosper the purpose at hand, colony in design,
expansion, interaction, ever in evolution.
Spreading on the folly of a breeze, to float
unseen from confines to new environments.

In nights breeze colony design evolves, colonize,
a world beckons in promise to the pattern of dispersal.
Awareness, we are unchallenged, a specie unknown.
boundaries are nonexistent, opportunities boundless.

Self preservation the first purpose of existence,
no malicious intent in the destruction by result.
Dominance of specie, only the strong survive,
we are classified, a new viral strain; human.

Gravity is a cage, welded by God.
To confine greed and selfish curiosities.
To restrain this plague called us.

This lonely orb should be allowed to colonize.
Ingest life from deep space eyes.
Follow a rainbow to its end.
Bend time around our wishes.
Sleep in the seams of space.
Offer a rosary to an alien race...
and pray their hearts are different from ours.

The skull suffocates the brain.
Keeps us from knowing our truest destiny.
The brain should be allowed to drift about
like a great red storm cloud.
Sniffing God out.
Travel at the speed of mind.
Ingest today and times gone by.
Feed all there is to feed.
See all there is to see.
