If It Tastes Good, Spit It Out

If It Tastes Good, Spit It Out

By Elton Camp

Some diets for weight control
Fat-free, sugar-free do extol
Those who wouldn’t be fat
May have to eat a lot of that

Bran cereal that tastes like hay
And there’s even more to say
A muffin that is fat-free
Tastes very bad to me

With a salad I’m not thrilled
With E. coli, it may be filled
From now on, you must lack
A luscious, juicy Big Mac

French fries you eat no more
Their fat and sodium to abhor
Never think you can try
A slice of chocolate pie

Also quite hard to take
No more red velvet cake
The diet rule to recall
If good, don’t eat at all

The Snow of the Weeping

do not alter the distance of the peaceful march that his bet swooped on towers of
respect and glorious times that thrive in the sun, the president of the word is the
sound of the voice comes to the reader of my words, the friendly social stream
between the dolphin and the brie coli in language that is described in the axes of
the roof where a box of letters that inspire inhabited

Premium Member No More Nudity

I’m well aware it’s not discreet
to walk barefoot upon the street.

In summer too hot, in winter cold
and more than that, I’m much too old.

But it was not so long ago
that I was just a child you know

And living in the country-side
where comfort only was my guide.

With the school’s end and no more classes
I knew the velvet of spring grasses

as I ran through the morning dews,
quite unencumbered by my shoes.

Blood poison was our only fear.
My mother warned me every year,

“Be careful where you’re running dear.”
as she bandaged me and wiped a tear.

We’d never heard of E.coli
nor that from Mersa we might die.

Unaware of dangers everywhere
we ran barefoot, without a care.

I’m sorry for the modern child
who cannot know the feel of wild

abandon in the long hot summer.
She must wear shoes and that’s a bummer.

Why Not To Have That Hamburger

Why Not to Have That Hamburger

By Elton Camp

Of course I like the taste of hamburger just fine
But in here, to explain why to avoid it, I’m tryin’
One burger can contain dioxin 300 times more
Than the “safe” level that doctors already deplore

Hamburgers are usually eaten along with other things
And from them, fries, and soft drinks, obesity springs
Beef’s high price causes the rainforests destruction
To make more room for profitable cattle production

When a rainforest is cut the soil cover disappears
It becomes worthless after grazing only two years
The constant pounding of cattle hoofs on the ground
Destroys plant roots that make the soil stay around

Because of winds and storms, the soil then won’t stay
And a desert will appear once it has been blown away
Because raising cattle uses up such vast amounts of grain
Not enough to feed millions of humans does then remain

And E. coli 0157:H7 gets into the burger from cow feces
And the deadly bug is the cause, in humans, of disease
The fast-food joint has now become a modern sweatshop
And has brought back conditions in the 20s we did stop

Advertising encourages kids to eat too much animal fat
And will bring serious health consequences due to that
About any beef product it is difficult to say much good
But especially hamburger, please avoid all who would

Medical Miracles

MEDICAL MIRACLES

What happened to mad cow disease?
And bird flu from Thailand? I ask myself.
Legionnaire’s disease? Minimata? E - coli ?

Did they succumb to medical expertise?
Or just disappear from the current-panic shelf?
Will you survive the next wave? Will I ?

She's Contagious

She wasnt certified by the USDA when she grew on him likes she was a colony of E.coli and he was room-temperature Canadian beef. Then started eating healthy turkey bacon then she started mistaken. When she realized she buried me in the bedroom where I, I can sing you to sleep all night.... And last night she recited every reason. Why she was so contagious when hitting on me by her love spells, got me catching vibe and connecting me by her chemistry, contagious that got me sick of her but dont wanna relieve her like an ex-girlfriend.

Pollution

Acid has become our rain
and oceans with mercury do we stain
dioxin lies beneath our ground
in everything toxic materials be found

E-coli is used to alter genes in food
where recombinant DNA is understood
heavy metals do the population addle
as the health industry lose continuing battle

With the law makers do the inhabitants contend
and a wealthy man can the laws amend
documented information on man's pollution
yet nobody seems to have a solution

Programs that show if man were to die
nature herself would repurify
at 300 years would be the retaking
of only a portion of what mankind is making

Desecration upon desecration upon the land
mankind destroys himself with his own hand
no amount of law can change our ways
our own nature fallen since ancient of days

Scientists who study regeneration
pursue this path with great fascination
they know that the body should heal itself
but understand not sin and it's stealth

Deserts now stand where nature did blossom
the amount of the damage is beyond awesome
ground waters filled with pesticide
about it's effects have governments lied

Asbestos and arsenic and lead just a few
adversely affect the body nothing new
tons upon tons of toxins released to our air
and only for wealth do manufacturers care

Seabirds and mammals die from plastic trash
the production of garbage for making of cash
forest and savannahs are being depleted
in soil degradation are crops being seeded

With love for our earth the concerned have their say
but the pursuers of wealth do get their way
the destroyers of earth with God will clash
but this system of things will Jesus dash

Bacteria To the Fuscia

A cosmonaut called Anatoli was diagnosed with acute E.coli
When he became somewhat delirious, they thought it was Bacillus cereus
When plated out under a prism, it looked instead like Botulism
Have you all gone off your rockers, it’s a strain of Staphlycoccus
And then thrown in just as a bonus, a rumour spread of Pseudomonas
No way you nincompoops cried Hans, it’s Candida albicans.
We’re all agreed the team replied........ just after Anatoli died!

Hosting

Errant clusters germinating tightly,
        I invite them in.
        I welcome them.

Fighting infection is far from the possible.

Didn’t you know that laughter is infectious?

Tiny colonies spread dis-ease,
a ribbon of cellular folly along angry red flesh.

They flourish on the vanguard, quiet in the deep.
Ebola, e-coli, erroneous children born and buried.

I rest with infection running rampant.

I live with the germs enclosed.

Preacher E Lye

Preacher E. Lye

He wears his white collar backwards
Piggy attenuated pagan wives’ tale
say the trigger Finger Man
has snake eyes in the back of his head

Got a gravelly-low, porcupine voice
that is cobra flatline prairie legendary

Using a lethal eighteen-wheel
hydraulic tongue roadkill,
he sermonizes with casket authority

Preacher E. Lye got one good eye,
and a black patch over his hollow socket
The last person who asked
what happened to the missing retina,
got buried
in an unmarked, dry gulch ravine pocket

Preacher E. Lye low rides
with malevolent, maverick posse power
Mister Pus Papal Evil Eye
walks double cross with uno orbital pallbearer pride ...
Hanging eulogy twine ties
from the BP church steeple belfry tower

His barrel jaw revolving lies
keep his baron territory on a fear cower
Terrified bottomless pit cries
of the weak townspeople reign hope sour

Preacher E. Lye loves to spew verbal caustic speech:
Potassium hydroxide vows
fire hot lead, full of lung roulette chambers emptied

Mister Pulpit Evil Eye, on the sulfuric snide,
preach yellow-belly worms give-it-up or die:
Collection plate extortion on the cactus side
E. coli talks with snow collar pestilent pride

Black Plague canon cloaked in blue gunsmoke attire,
Chesterfield veiled threats
got the long gun branding irons set in brimstone fire

Preacher E. Lye got one good eye,
and a black patch over his hollow socket
Bottomless pit bull preacher,
bullet lung blasting pie-in-the-sky,
got his casino hands deep in pew pockets

Lupus leper lip E. Lye
tear sow scorpion alibis,
thru his planted posse of doppelganger sons
Wil E. coyote clan cries —
dirt devils on a slithering bandito desert run

Preacher E. Lye got one good eye,
and a black patch over his hollow socket
Preacher E. Lye blows a dust tide
with malevolent, cougar bloody paw grit

Red Barren hope
flows down a cemetery canyon
White flag mope
leaves nary grave task undone
Blue metal smoke
is Preacher E. Lye’s kill clarion

Preacher E. Lye stalks the widows
with his condor one eye
Devour their body-and-soul vittles,
then bury their dead cry

The Dollar Menu

The smell of stale french fries
and E.coli coated beef

the raw onions and garlic cloves
stunk up the kitchen and watered my eyes
no ice in the drink machines...
but plenty of warm pop

Chicken nuggets with 16 new herbs
and spices and hot fudge Sundays, without the hot fudge

banana splits with rotten bananas
and the tomatoes weren't that fresh either
the cheese was moldy and the buns, moldier

The advertisements claimed "Have it your way"
it wasn't my way, it was their way

I paid a dollar fifty ordering off the dollar menu
it was a ripoff....

I spoke to the manager
and the manager spit in my face
and said "Have a nice day"

it wasn't a nice day, it wasn't a nice day at all....

Names You Will Never See

Names You Will Never See

By Elton Camp

The image of a place or product is high on its list
Names that would damage it will always be missed

The names “Cheat and Swindle” for a law firm
Would make the two esquires sweat and squirm

“Dr. Payne’s Dentistry” conveys the wrong thought
“Crook’s Realty” honest Mr. Crook shouldn’t ought

“Greasy Spoon” would never be the name of a café
From “E. Coli Market,” a wise merchant stays away

The name “Adolph” for a boy is a very nasty trick
“Benedict” for Arnold’s son won’t be a good pick

“Roach’s Bakery” would be a major mistake
“Fair Weather Insurance,” nobody would take

No parents would name their daughter “Jezebel,”
And “Judas” for a son would be rejected as well

That there can be quite a lot, indeed, to a name
Romeo and Juliet found the outcome a shame

Germs On Your Money

Germs on Your Money

By Elton Camp

Who can know where your money has been
Was stuffed into shorts at a male stripper den
Or the prostitute stuffed it away safely hid
As the of Venereal Disease John she got rid

Oh, you say my money’s never been such places
But still, of germs and viruses it may have traces
Actually, of careful studies there have been few
And more are needed to know what is really true

In 1972, the AMA studied both coins and bills
Their findings could easily enough give chills
On 13 percent of coins, harmful germs were found
And 42 percent of bank notes also had them around

A University of California study is cause for care,
Finding Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli there
Making it even worse, pathogens such as these
Come from nasal mucus and from human feces

But to cause disease, even threats like those
Require that we scratch our eyes or our nose
Mother knew the best bet for us to stay well
“Always wash your hands,” is what she’d tell.

Weekend Warrior

Why?
Why not!
Their point of view

Each Friday they drank
vengeance
every bottle drowned
another ache

Knights
shedding the end of a week
elegant shine
lost in devil may care

Needs
numbed in a 3-day marathon
Drink, drink,
drink until dread's dead...

Why not?
Coz they can't unsee
a view

ailments never quit
piling
rays gamma
radiation
ever shooting -
more cancer
reactions
'n side effects that conquer

In and out
they pass,
dysenteric E.coli
offsetting the once ominous
virus
polio
raked out but replaced
by a Covid war...

II - Sharon and Adeline
So who gets the blame, for the perfidy of their young lives,
having shared of caustic adults and their lust-groping girth?

A petite, astute blonde with candid need of sexualized aura
Never concealed, she’d writhe a come-hither to grown men
Never liking the boys who were closer to her pretty preteen
Only seeking pernicious pleasures of a pedophile aficionado
Not contrite, she’d dance the pole, just as mom had shown…
As she envied voluptuous Adeline, perfunctory in beauty's miasma
Nothing contrived in her distrust of oglers whose gaze could harken
Devils from her past, piercing them with angry blues so condemned…
As her mom disabled, leaned on a man who made Addie his manna
Dined on precocious curves she’d wish had never been bequeathed
Exploding in tantrums she fought unable to suppress all the seethe…

Little girls lost in the littler woman’s world, of the big man’s brothel
It was a ruse that it had closed, for females still suffer these incubi
Nice asses openly paraded non-stop; lower wages that still demean
Elderly men joking with objectified daughters, still considered, wise…
