The Coastline
I fell in love with her on a December morning.
I stop my truck and I was star struck at her beauty,
her power.
I walk quickly to her,
she was dancing on the shore.
Nothing could equal her beauty.
I gazed in wonder for hours at her, sitting on the sand.
How could I have not escape to her beauty before this day?
Now I walk up and down the shore,
watching the waves.
The beauty of her be-witched my heart.
I knew when I left her,
I would yearn for her sight.
Never be complete till she was dancing my feet again.
My love was the Pacific ocean,
the peaceful sea.
I wish to be with her today.

Bluey black, clouds and waves
Dark shades, shadow the nightfall
The cobalt coastline

Where land meets sea
Waves wash tears.
Memories erode
Brine swirls forgotten.
The longing remains
And our grief unloads.
Where Moon drives tide
Ebb hides need.
Flow spills thirst
Our wretched hearts cried.
Where night joins surf
We stand alone.
The break of drift
We straddle this shore.
And light-years ‘tween stars
Shrink our stature.
fruity lemon fragrance wafts in this afternoon
tantalizing me are additional smells of homemade bread
Chef Luigi’s homemade Italian spaghetti sauce.
Real Italian, not the fake stuff.
my mouth waters; I wonder how soon until lunch.
Casa Angelina is more than a home away from home.
more than a mere vacation spot; she houses my family.
people who run her, know my name. They like me.
and I love them!
I stare past the lemon trees into the horizon.
my eyes are dazzled by the sparkly diamonds dancing on the bay.
it is a glorious day to be enjoying the Amalfi coastline.
I am a lucky woman. I know this as I begin to write.
Rugged coastline
Aqua blue waters
Natures marvel
One of her daughters
Pillars of green
Look down on her ocean
As her frothy waves caress
In graceful motion
Sporadic stepping stones
Jut from the blue
As life clings
Before they disappear from view
Stand by her shores
Please take a bow
For under her surface
You will be gargling wow!
Creatures that have adapted
Over millions of years
Beauties so lovely
But some leave fears
Along the Californian Coastline
Awesome vistas of view
I wish i was there
So i could view with you too

Remember that day, we just wanted to get away
You took me to the beach; it was my first time being there
Everyone is so surprised with how little I’ve done in my life
Little did I know you’d be my reaper, gripping onto your scythe
Do things remind you of me like they remind me of you?
Does the bracelet around your wrist ever rattle my name?
The coastline reminds me of you, the small divide between the sea and land
It's the most beautiful, to think otherwise is imputable
Footprints in time, tales of a bygone eras embrace
I do wonder, would you come dig up our memories from our special place?
I’ll hold the shovel, I'll pull them from the sand
I look back but my eyes don't lock with yours
I flip over scurrying to stop the sound of my alarm
The only image my phone displays is the reflection of my loneliness
Unlocking to the lacking amount of contact
I’m the one you had to subtract
The songs you used to dance to fill me with sorrow
I miss the part you were out of breath and laid down in my lap
Your hair was always so soft and beautiful
You were beautiful
Your friends told us we were beautiful
But now we is me, and you are you
Talk to me sometime, I'll make time for two
Better than what's been bought
The sunset with no cost
Lies its last golden beam of illuminating light
On the sandy shoreline
As twilight hues ripple in the breaking waves
Playing a melocholy song into the night
The change has been painful
Grief broke my bones and turned my blood into sand
Life is a current ever flowing
Oceans wash away memories like coastlines
Time will continue to steal from me
All that's left washed away by the tide
The golden stain of the sunshine
Made the sea water shine like gold
And gave egrets at the coastline
The golden stain.
The egrets came with their household,
To make the water like their shrine,
Their beaks and wings defied the cold.
Young egrets stayed at the shoreline~
Their playful nature they unfold,
Still gifting the twilight skyline
The golden stain.
