Ode To My Chiro

My body’s friend, the Chiropractor
gives me exactly what I’m after.
A reduction of serious pain
in my skeletal frame is my aim.
To be enabled to be able
keeps me mentally stable.
For years in my pain, Doctors said “no don’t go,
those Chiropractors are your foe!”
So doctors fed me pain pills and charged me too much,
talked of expensive therapy, operations and such.
Possible fusing could be motion losing.
The therapy never did the trick,
And the pills just made me sick.
So I tried to be believing and nice,
but went against the Doc’s advice
because I could barely walk
and had to work,
my body in shock.
Saw that Chiropractor, took his advice
and at a very reasonable price.
That was my first whose name was Dr B.
He helped me immensely.
The pain left quickly.
I was no longer sickly.
My current Chiropractor uses an activator,
He’s a dedicated rejuvenator.
A friend recommended him twelve years ago,
For needed maintenance, I still go.
So many times to my elation,
he’s saved me an operation,
because of the sensible characteristic,
That his Chiropractics are holistic.
Doctors have their place and if it needs be so,
My chiropractor will tell me to go.
So Doctors, curb your pride and make the confession,
CHIROPRACTICS is a Most Noble Profession !

Uncle Billy's Achilles

Saw chiro ‘bout a kink in the neck,
saw the x-ray and said, “WHAT THE HECK?!?”
Pinched nerve to my elbow,
doc was a nice fellow,
but he WOULDN'T take my credit or check!

I run to the ATM for cash,
my left buttocks I notice a rash-
Spread to my Achilles,
just like uncle Billy’s!
SO IRRITATED, got in a crash!

Ambulance took me to ICU,
sphincter upset I started to spew-
My intestines ALL ripped!
All body parts unzipped....
“Sir, your Uncle Billy's here for you."

Dazed I heard a darn hillbilly speak,
rambling on 'bout the rash on his CHEEK!
Then the chiro walked in,
dared to show a big grin :)
A KICK in the nuts, he would'a squeaked!!!

Body parts used: 1. Neck 2. Elbow 3. Buttocks

LANTERNE PHRASIS 3
Tedium ends with the setting sun,an
angled view that reaches into life.
Loud sighs,piercing eyes that erupt
from unconscious minds.A lyrical dream
abstract fantasy of multiple emotions
that leap out in varied shapes,
an angst of moody blues in a
perversity of remembered views
that climb into the staircase of
the mind.A chaos with no focus
point,images shadowing the floor
as in a dream near and far and
beyond as random gestures
inwards&upwards that launch
a thousand still lifes,with slow
soaking stains into evolving
moods that pass away with
time in gray graduations.

TRUE GRIT
He like a drink
did granpa Shreeve
Sergeant stripes stayed on
his sleeve- Victorian born with
buckled belt ,boots,trousers braced;
strong silent,with twirled of moustache;
rigid of back, upright no ceremony allowed-
a legacy faded sepia grey in memory
	GRANPA
He loves action,with few words
by example,his guidance heard,
a barnabas,he unfolds
encouragment,to be bold;
Strong-minded,solid some say,
stability,day-by-day,
reliability,his creed
to satisfy,family need;
Each day stepping outside the box
what you see,is what you get,
once encountered,none forget,
a boy,beneath it all
aged now,but standing tall.

A MOTHER’S LOVE
She lives her love day by day
with all that is so feminine,
a touch, kiss or knowing look,
concern, red-lettered in her book;
Particular to detail self-sacrifice
a routine,as she walks the extra mile,
ever ready with a smile; The days
news eager to hear, her wise counsel,
stills a fear as open arms her love brings
near,a warmth to dry a child's tear
ready to give herself, time and again
so soft and beautiful and feminine

LANTERNE PHRASIS 7
Breathe in &dream,step up close,
let inner sensations inhabit this
collage perfected by chance.It
may go against the grain to create
the appearance of things with dramas
in the mind which appear to distort
and elongate. But,seen in a new light
without a second thought can become
a foretaste of rhapsody,a defiance that
revels in impressions,once unregarded,
but which now radiate symmetry,
drawing the eye.

Going For a Click

The chiro gave the manipulation as usual,
guaranteed to solve all ills for a day;
we drove thro' rainbows like Pilgrim's Progress,
what should have been more was definitely less.

These magic cures and stimulants like viagra,
were pathetic, naive, just didn't last mister,
I was glad that I could rise above such trivia,
unfortunately, it wasn't the case for Olivia,

God must have had a macabre sense f humour,
because being straightforward was just a rumour,
when he invented women as a strange friend,
it turned out to be a nightmare with no end.

Much as we love them for holding our 'dick,'
their mindset won't be solved by having a 'click.'

FLIGHTS OF FANCY PHRASIS 1
The soft yellow streaked the terra cotta,
shadowing the speckled sallow saffron
a bluish buff upon the cochineal;
brilliant boneblack grizzled the engrain
citrine carnation as the fallow flaxen,
rustic rubrical rainbow-tinted
the magenta mandarine;unseen
the ultra-marine, tinged burnt sienna,
reflecting a golden flame of raw umbery
upon the earth green;bright mosaic gold
mottled the sallow sorrel virent yellow,
oak stained the pale apricot;while
blood red,reddish russetdotted the olive lind;
freckled crimson,a chestnut maroon,
on fuchsias faded apple green as burnt
umber sank deep into its sanguine slumber.

LANTERNE PHRASIS 4
Art without a title,an ego
in relief of studied arrogance
in a broken mosaic ,awash
in blue&orange partitions,
dripping wet into wet,A
vision coveying joy,the sacred
blending with the secular,a
swirling forest of dreams of
shadowed illusions.This insight
through the looking glas,of a
hidden riddle where pain erupts
into an obsession,outlines encircle
the eyes.Face to face where despair
crushes love on the unknown path
ahead.There,night beckons &
tomorrow is another day,and
dreams fade out of focus.

SEQUENCE PHRASIS part 3
Euphony at its core,a glance to
mesmorise,memories surface outliving
passing fame&excels in retrospect,even
upon the losing side.In passion’s grip,
there’s nowhere to hide,living free,
an awesome task,a heady fragrance
even if fortune favours the brave on life’s
highway,..hope enlightens all.

CHRISTIAN PHRASIS 1-pastoral
To see the kingdom grow with
peopled pews, so often a frustrated
desire sans practical love in action.
A love for people and growth of
the rule of God,so fundamental
and crucial. God’s attributes
brings wholeness,completeness
and peace, by its very nature.
This resurrection commission
to the priesthood of all believers;
to respond thereto,accountable
to God where ‘ere we find the need;
to empathise,set free the downtrodden
,weeping with and counselling,binding up
the broken bringing back the lost, with
patience & perserverance
to reveal the heart of God.

Little children become loving
people in the odyssey of life.
Innocence exchanged for
ecstasy in love,marriage,
relationships ups&downs
..and strife.Pebbles in the
shoes,an eyelash in the eye
minor irritations ,parables &
trials to make us sigh if we've
confessed & met our maker
before we die.

LANTERNE PHRASIS 1
A childhood flashback,a yesterday dream
symbols from the clutter of life,in
slow motion,descending & suspended
in space.Caught in the daydream,this
rainbow of the mind,distracted blurs
of destiny’s tears through the looking glass
and landscapes of the mind.A personal
portrait,a painting of passion pulsating
in a manicured dream of private fantasy.
Painterly hues splashed & without direction
and uncontrolled zest.A collection of the
soul in a patchwork quilt of lost love,
reflected & mirrored in the heart.

LANTERNE PHRASIS 6
Honest innocence becalmed in sleep
on pathways that house the mind.
Simple,transluscent,form space
&mass made into one,an ancestor
of the surreal.Confetti spirals,
patterns of peaks&troughs in
contemplative mode.Intervals
that float into space,delicate
overlays,where does reflection
begin&end?Throwaway lines
leap out from the chronicle of life.
