You hung the moon
Accompanied by the night
You hung the sun
Accompanied by the light
You hung the clouds
Images of angels bright
What did I ever do to deserve
The mercy, grace and forgiveness
You’ve placed into my life, freeing me
Forgiving me and saving me from death
And the grave – the devil’s deadly wrath
What did I ever do to deserve
A love so true to me, a love so gentle
A love that would always leave me
With assurance of heaven’s embrace
You breathed life into man
A sweet joy that is alive
You gave us all your plan
Making us give our drive
You taught us the ways we can
Make it through fears and revive
What did I do to deserve
Your unending peace and love
You’ve brought me through the worst
And taught me to always look up
To the place where you send me dreams
From the sweetness of angel’s wings
You’ve sent me a second chance
To be filled with love and compassion
A sense of truth that is alive
With the faith that only You provide
You remind me why
I feel so free and alive
You fill my entire life
With joy and hope that thrive
You accept me as I am
With forgiveness where I strive

Lyric
Whenever I touch my pen to paper, a faint scent of lilacs fills the air
It lightly kisses the tinged pages with my heart’s dried-up ink
Sitting in the shadows of my wordless noise vulnerable and bare
Paving the poem’s purpose, I know I’m on the brink
It lightly kisses the tinged pages with my heart’s dried-up ink
I find myself here encircled by dawn’s early grace
Paving the poem’s purpose, I know I’m on the brink
The words in my mind, like the passage of time, I always will embrace
I find myself here encircled by dawn’s early grace
Unspoken poetic musings breathed into life for all to see
The words in my mind, like the passage of time, I always will embrace
In the hollowed-out knowledge of yesterday’s promises set free
Unspoken poetic musings breathed into life for all to see
As I hold the pen loosely knowing the rest will write itself
In the hollowed-out knowledge of yesterday’s promises set free
As the pages whispered their last breath, I placed my poetry book on its shelf
As I hold the pen loosely knowing the rest will write itself
Sitting in the shadows of my wordless noise vulnerable and bare
As the pages whispered their last breath, I placed my poetry book on its shelf
Whenever I touch my pen to paper, a faint scent of lilacs fills the air

God breathed
Hope across my soul
Music into my thoughts
Joy all over my heart
God breathed
Laughter into my mind
Pleasure on my ideas
Kindness across my feelings
God breathed
Inspiration over my plans
Harmony into my designs
Sighs of love on my spirit
God breathed
Wonders across my beliefs
Miracles to whisper praise
Admiration into my faith
God breathed
Satisfaction on my essence
Gladness across my dreams
Poetry into my allegiance
God breathed
Insight into my strength
Purpose over my reveries
A song over my mood
God breathed
Courage onto my character
Marvels over my delight
Enlightenment into the night
God breathed
Tenderness through my judgements
Affection onto my generosity
A light that leaves me encouraged
God breathed
A promise that heartens my attitude
A devotion that colors me brilliant
A wisdom in the center of my giving
God breathed
Warmth over my yearnings
Gentleness onto my provision
Compassion through my personality
God breathed
Stardust through my vision
Pearls of ecstasy on my depths
Assurance of His eternal love
God breathed
And I existed
God breathed
And I listened
God breathed
And I worshipped

God breathed passion into my soul, poetry into my heart and praise into my spirit! ~ Quote by the Author
Longings for music that whispers softly
Into my heart’s core, where beating echoes
Caressing dreams with miracles which
Arouse the spirit’s song with hues of crimson
Inspiration which silences all colors of darkness
With sunshine, moonbeams and stardust
Lights flickering across the edges of lacy kindness
Creating forever through rivers of bright pink
Waters, liquid love, pouring across the skin
Raising goosebumps of poetic thoughts
Flowing richly with wishes that care deeply
For the moment when an embrace welcomes
The familiar warmth of a relationship with
Hope, faith and love… all that comes from above
Riding on waves of cloudless breaths from Him
Who knows our greatest hopes are built on
Signs of sacrifice and giving, Godly wisdom!

Petrarchan Sonnet: If no one else breathed in this wide, wide world
If no one else breathed in this wide, wide world
Will one know one exists under this sun
Or how will he guess he’s the only one
If none thought of him in some other world
Will he then climb upon some hill all bold
To announce: Where is there another son
Not just the wayward scowling wind undone
By thunder – great tyrant out to scold
Alone bears this man the pain of mankind
Left to look for answers in porous sky
None else around to guide his erring hand
If he but an instant shut his lone mind
Even an attosecond long gone by
Will earth and sky stay true not second hand.

Granddad Breathed River Air
My grandfather worked on the river.
A tugboat captain was he by trade.
His jobs were diverse and he loved them.
Grandma and their children waited home.
As a teen, he helped ship a sculpture.
On the river he hauled in wrecked boats.
He tended the dredge for a train bridge.
For a lifetime he breathed river air.
Some days he came home to great laughter.
Tall tales and new pranks he always shared.
He caught fish for family fish fries.
When rested, river air called again.

Verse
Air breathed in, thick with sorrow,
The night too dense with pain,
This sunrise barely compensates,
For battles fought in vain.
Care has taken up its place,
Behind her weary brow,
Drowning out the happy sound,
Of friendly laughter now.
The pain that racks her weary form,
Mere words could ill express,
The toll it takes upon her heart,
Her lips must now confess.
Perhaps the bruises left by hate,
Should not have been revealed,
To those who turn their heads away;
From the elect concealed.
She dares not hope this pain will pass,
The scars, and nightmares fade,
Will time succeed in killing off,
What greed and anger made?
And when it's all been said and done
The final word it's tongue shall leave,
Will that word be filled with hate,
Or will it love conceive?

Embracing this-ness, entwined with oneness,
heart’s vibrant in blissfulness!
Knowing we are but dust, forged from earth’s crust,
alive owing to God’s breath,
to what shall we then cling?
This world we’re in, a lucid dream,
with life play but our heart’s desire,
hypnotic trance where thought forms stream,
on and on, till the day we tire.
we as the object
God consciousness as subject ~
merge to so awake

Verse
One night from deep sleep I awoke,
stirred by a light that gently spoke,
oozing love, seeking my consent,
for my soul’s heavenward ascent.
No sooner I nodded my head,
into the vast void, I was led
sans form, for I had vaporised,
truth of oneness clearly apprised,
feeling God’s breath in-dwell each form,
felt within as magnetism warm.
My formless presence, one with God,
gripped by bliss mists stood overawed
in this knowing transcending mind,
free at last from fetters that bind.
This is the wisdom I can share,
with pure hearts who so choose to pair.

Breath of God, inspiration so wise and warm
Filling my heart with a gentle touch from above
Whispering hope through my spirit’s shadow
Painting my thoughts with bold and vibrant hues
Sent to arouse visions of joy, peace and faith
Love that abides in the mouth of amazing grace
Breath of God, brilliant rays, brighter than the sun
Healing me from hurts that might have disheartened
Caressing my heart with sensations of pleasing reveries
Ideas that keep me flourishing with intimate promises
Lingering bits of gentleness that reaches through me
To the center of my soul, where happiness lightly flows
Breath of God, soothing sense of faith filling my veins
Rushing through me, like a million inklings of desire
Firing my thoughts with breathtaking enlightenment
Magnificent ideas, dreams that awaken my muse to
Joy and focus, feelings of pure wonder, life of love
Assurance that God’s will shall always be done
Breath of God, breath your compassion through me
Send waves of inspiration and truth shining down to me
Energizing my soul and brightening my spirit with kindness
Feelings that abide with me, thriving and reviving me
With music that pleads in praises and prayers, in faith
For the sweet joy of knowing God’s breath on the heart
Breath of God…. Send showers of belief through my spirit
Rest on me, embrace my soul with your purity and truth
Show me the meaning of the muse – where it shines strong
Where it rises and sets, like the dawn, in my thoughts
Reminding me to breath in the heavenly exhalation from
The One who created the heavens and the breath in me
Breath of God, rest on me… touch my thoughts with insight
Remind me to reflect on all that You have given me
The blessings that have filled my life with love that lights
The way for serenity, faith and fulfillment, God’s gifts to me

The air we breathe is us being so breathed
Gods life force within, that never wavers
An innate vibrancy, leaving soul pleased
Hark hearts love murmur, in gentle whisper
Surrendered to soft divine entwined kiss
As love in love with love, slowly draws nigh
We gasp in wonderment, suffused in bliss
Our childlike presence, let’s out a long sigh
Each desire, that we utter, as prayer
Marked by purity of loving intent
Unveils delusion, layer by layer
Revealing our core, self-luminescent
Shaped upon the anvil by our free will
Elixir divine, all voids within fills

Paul the Apostle said "I once breathed apart from the law's voice
I lived in the clay of a singing bird or a roaring tamed beast
I lived as a breath outside of the lion's roaring voice"
Inspired by a quote from Basilides: "Indeed, the Apostle (Paul) has said, "I was once alive apart from the law," [Rom 7:9] at some time or other. That is (Paul means), before I came into this body, I lived in the kind of body that is not subject to the law: the body of a domestic animal or a bird."

As we be breathed
Surfing the divide between heart and mind
We celebrate the dance of illusion
Having vaporised, free from ego’s bind
Holy Spirit dispels soul’s confusion
Duality manifests through space-time
The universe appears and disappears
We cognise in heart, the cosmic Ohm chime
As benign bliss beats, each node of form spears
What are we but a splash in the ocean
Moment to moment, being by God breathed
Partaking of the divine bliss potion
Delighting as light of soul is retrieved
Playing our life role, in as is ordained ~
We burn in the void, that cannot be stained

Before we go to bed we vegetate
No need for teacher but a compost heap.
And as we vegetate, we drift to sleep
While in our dreams our little mind debates
But mostly we’re unknowing in this dark
Where God himself may manifest at will.
His dazzling darkness makes our souls be still
And wait for strikes by living ,glowing spark.
But in the morning ,we come back to strife
Take up our work and suffer every stroke.
From sapling to the oldest, strongest oak
Each must choose again its proper life
Every look we cast at others strikes
Reflects and shows us what we have become
And when there is no movement, we are done
Our mind and heart have chosen what they like.
So in our end we vegetate again
And no more rise to labour in the day
We fertilise the fields passed on our way
We show the end of woman and of man.
A daily round becomes our life and death.
We live because we’re breathed by sacredness

both those who seem to be cursed
as also those appearing blessed
determine attributes bestowed
solely based on the material
ignoring impulse ethereal
wherefrom is manifest
dance of polarities
as life enacted
felt by touch
