The Byway

I may have been a place or two
Where your foot has fallen or wishes to.
I have known a decibel of fright
And shrieked aloud the cold dark night

In braveness have you reached in aid?
In kindness have you sought to save
Sweet precious feelings of a friend
And sacrificed your own true end?

Stoop not at indignity nor
Puff and gel in praise.
For both fade fickle in the light
And melt away in haze.

We’ll not be judged on cleverness
Instead we will succeed
On our state of readiness
To lend a hand in need.

First-Generation Student

As an evanescent quietness falls into my room
While a stream of breeze air invades the living room,
A new, unborn poem waves in my blurred thought,
Endeavoring to keep me from being distraught.

I’m desperate; I deserve even a better cabin.
Thus, my mind is abiding a religious doctrine
In the purpose of enriching my knowledge
By meeting standards to get enrolled in college.

Inspiration is sometimes a key to survive.
Joel Osteen, you keep my lost dream alive.
But, the cryptic concept of life is the absurd.
Will my celestial request remain unanswered?

To avoid failure and exhibit one’s braveness,
To gain success and the pursuit of happiness,
Virtuosity must be laid open rather than latent
For a high-achieving, first-generation student.

The Snake

THE SNAKE
The terror of night; the terror of day,
The longest creature on earth and sea.
In length, I am fearful  to men, In  braveness, man worship me;
I have no hands non legs, yet I move faster than others.
In the garden, where I was; man was my friend,
Until Satan borrowed my name;
I gave my name to him without considering the future.

I am not the serpent that steal your dominion non your enemy.
I am in pains as you are; why do you fearfully refused to eat my meat?
Only those that knows my values embrace my meat.
In your markets I am unpopular in demand,
If you want to use me for shoe, Bags or  social entertainments;
You don’t remember that you once rejected me.
On God of creation, when will you hear my cry?
The world is against me. Who will vindicate me?
I need my name back, my honor restored, my friendship with man back.
I need my legs and hands back, I am created as you are.
If I have my hands and legs, man will not call me evil.

I am the pride of beauty, my products in your markets  speaks volumes;
In the rock, in the forest, in the cities, in zoos, in your sitting rooms I am there.
If you feared me, stop buying products, stop having me as pet.
I have my pains, you have yours, I never accused man of me not having legs or hands,
Yet you blacklist me.
O h my God, come with the wings of healing and heal my hands and legs.
I am one of your creatures , look down upon me and wipe away my tears.
If my legs and hands are kept inside, how can I praise you as others do?
My shining skin, that added beauty to me are your works,
Looking ahead, my future’s beauty reminds me of thy wondrous works.

The Colours of Africa

In a thunder of braveness
A lightening strikes with love
My dreams arises into the sky with the African sun
Hoping to set on the African soil

In tears I cry
For the fight against self I see among Africans
A lost of touch with self I believe
The abuse of power and systems I conceive
My prayer to the lost I offer

In a moment of strength I posses
An undying faith in God within a timeless race
The truth shall stand on our soils
The rainbows of hope and prosperity
glows from each African smile

In a race of Black strong willed generations
Willing to fight for freedom until all is free
My sense of the Nkrumah's and
Mandela's inflamed with a beat of the African drum
Beating forever the melodies of peace to the troubled

In the colors of Africa
The might within the weak is revealed
Red blood in our veins, yellowish gold in our soils
As the wealth in oil and diamonds multiply
I pray for the sun of love and peace to shine in our hearts

We Call It Time

We lose when we love,
retain the dripping remnants
of losses we keep.

We call it time,
but cease to count the raging moments
of a sandstorm
when it cries.

And then we say goodbye,
a final soreness of heart
that in braveness,
says "no"...

The Path

I am on the path where my fears
are capturing my hearts braveness
I am on a way where my tears
Are flowing to cover my hidden talents

The way where I am getting darkness
But still my soul says
That's the only path to overcome badness
Of the envy hate and superiority

The path is making me non existent
Yet making me independent
Unknowing the beauty of its extent
I am walking in this path of destruction

The way is leading me to the inner blackness
To discover the inner stranger
Holding all the grudges under brightness
To make me perfect for society

The inner dark self
Radiant yet pitch black
Making mr realize
I am on path of self discovery

Against All Odds

Against all odds by Phuti Morifi
Breaking it loose from the toughness
Moving the mountainous stones not slipping trough the rocks
Walking a thorny road barefooted and ignoring the bleeding pain
That’s where it all started

In a small world beneath my breast there is a beat
Everything appear very slow and limited
It seemed useless to keep my faith
it seemed doomed to keep dreaming
But against all odds i am grateful for all that i have
I feel the braveness whenever the world see the ignominy
I feel ease whenever the world see the sadness
I smell the greatest aroma whenever the world smell the smoke
I move whenever the world see me neutral

I look around my grace everyday when i open my eyes
I smile at my reflection every time i see my image
I pause and watch see the solidity in me
i feel the best out of my toughness

I can break it all loose in my quietness
i can break it all loose in special sadness
i can open the darkest cloud with my faith
i can open the locked doors with my believe
I am given the authority to break all loose whenever the world get tough
I am given the authority to believe in what i see and feel within me
i am authorised to fly where ever i want
i am authorised to move whenever i feel
Against all odds nothing can stand before me
Againts all odds nothing can take my keys
Against all odds nothing can stop me
Because i am the manager, the Clothe President
Just say the leader in my life
Against all odds nothing is ever impossible

My Son

The bleeding of my eyes cannot
be over emphasis as the a weakness of my heart.
i have been brave thousand times to stop the
black sky from darken my heart, yet my
braveness was sold in penny days ago in public.
Your father has sold his soul to the bar
where his father refused to accept defeat thousand times.
My son, mother is weeping as my pen is bleeding.
the Debts has accumulated in a very high rate
And your sisters have returned from school with their back
on the back of the house weeping like weepers
Yet, all the burdens and the cross of this home
are rested upon my shoulder to bear in pains.
Things has fallen apart and mother aren't happy.
the tuberculosis has began his romance on your father
After the last taste of palm wine he had last time
And i don't relish the prospect of getting him treated
All the time he would go back again with drinking.
I am not writing to ask you of money as you may think
But for you to come home to murder the madness
Created by his mad attitude in the midst of madness of the day.
Son, remembering where we started before the dark cloud
Where mankind eyes divided our dreams of perfections.
I saw the show and reflection of our difference in you
Knowing in your presence my hunger for love would
Be banished and my murdered tomorrow received love
in the eyes of those who laughed at me.
Mbajiakuwas here yesterday with a clapping lips.
Clocking the tress in the compound with his words
But i told him of your fathers madness and he hurt me .
Son, they made me a monster of loneliness
The day i and your father became strangers.
Your father is no longer receiving treatment because all
That i have saved is gone.
My life, a divided of two by two
without a resounding adjective to qualify the nouns.
Son, i am broken in pieces !
Mother is dying in silence as if she has no one
to console her in this dark side .
come home son before your sisters are sold to get
Your father treated as planned by your uncles.
I will be waiting under the tree where you grew up to welcome you.

                                YOur mother.

Premium Member Tribute To Todd Beamer 9-11

Dear Todd,

Thank you for saving so many lives in
Washington , DC.
A true American, you!
It’s heroes exactly like you.
Who make me so proud of this land,
As I stand under the red, white and blue!

“Let’s Roll,” you told your team!
As your stormed the cockpit, full of our
enemies, a nightmare, not a dream.
The terrorists had to fight your scheme.
Those devils crashed it into Shanksville.
And thus, saved DC, it stands there still!

We do not understand your strength.
We fear being patriotic at any length.
We are not thankful for your deed.
The country forgot freedom is but a seed.
I pray this country is once again, whole.
Where we, like you, do the right thing,
And with your braveness and courage, say..
“ Let’s Roll!”

With thanks, from my red, white and blue heart!
Panagiota Romios,family and friends

Brave Like You

I find myself not , eating, thinking, and sleeping
Sometimes , not doing things right in my life
The many obstacles , Im going threw
Just to reach one goal
The many blocks, I walk
Day or Night

Sometimes confuse on time
Wishing it was a dream
The moment , I heard
You went to sleep
All, I keep saying is
Who , understood me like you
For the many reasons
I love you

I appreciated everything, you did
From the braveness, you gave my soul
The gentleness, in your words
For each teardrop, you wiped off my face
Now, my teardrops seem to reach the ground
While , I look in (Heaven)
Praying your looking down

Showering this fear off my skin
Feel my feet
They're so weak
But , for you

I get on my knees
Singing and crying, to God
That my angel is you
So , I can whisper in your ear
Mama, make me brave
Brave like you

Tomorrow Will Smile Again

The shimmering sun is throwing
Fire-golf on our derma,
Like it doesn't have head.
But forasmuch the cheek of the cloud
Is telling us that,
It is not unwilling to soak
The sun in his fists,
We can tell by the lips of braveness that,
Tomorrow will smile again.

Why is the invisible face of the wind
Wearing the whiff of the volcano?
Does it mean we're locked up in nether world?
If Mr. Wind is not unhappy to feel this way,
Then we better ought to find
Some bucket to put on.
Since there's no place to salt away.
But we believe with the lips of braveness,
Tomorrow will smile again.

You'Re My Nature

You're My Nature

On all the things that caught my eyes
You're the perfect paragon of Paradise
When I think of a place that grows the seeds of beauty
You've turn my imaginations into reality
I can't idealized a better accurate definition
Than you're my nature, You're the best attraction

You're the ocean that soothes my feeling
Waving with precise rhythm like I'm only dreaming
As long as you're calm you dictate the ambiance of peace
That coordinates on the fresh air and cloud's mist
But one thing is for sure, even though its not summer, I promise my willingness
I'm ready to explore how deep is your love and mystery with courage and braveness

You're the stars on a quiet night
Even though it gets darker and darker
You don't care as long as you're bright
You're shining that shows your genuine identification
That you're one of a kind God's creation
I hope one day my wishes will show me a sign
That in the destined moment our stars will soon be align

You're the garden that blossoms different flowers
That shows more enhanced saturation during rain showers
With adorable leaves with refreshing pigments
That strengthen everyone's persistence
You're true beauty drives my motivation
That I will care for you with no doubts and with determination

You're the rainbow after the rain
You're the happiness after the pain
That so comfortable to see
That makes my emotion seems so free
Let me be the one that will find the treasure in you
Let me find the source of that beauty shining through

You're my nature beyond my imagination
You're my definition of satisfaction
Nothing can define you more than I did
Because no one can follow my lead
Im the one who witness your genuine existence
Because I'm the only one that truly admire your presence

Ballad of Alexandria the Female Knight

Alexandria was a gallant knight,
She used to sit at Arthur’s Round Table.
Dressed as a boy, she helped knights fight evil
As the Blue eyed hero of this fable.

The young lady fell in love with Arthur,
But unknowing, he married Guinevere.
Alex’s heart was hurt, but she stayed true,
She battled alongside him without fear.

Sparring with Lancelot, she learned to fight,
Alex earned respect from her belov’d king,
He never knew she was an armored girl.
He only saw her long weapons in swing.

On a dark and stormy night they set off,
The knights of Camelot looked for The Grail;
Alex as custom rode by Arthur’s side.
They searched through forest glades without avail.

Finally they came across a large cave,
Its dark and dank depths were filled with despair.
Alex entered in front of the brigade,
Arthur gave her braveness no thought or care.

Down in the black unfathomable cave,
At the farthest reaches a light appeared.
Guided by instincts, they knew this was it,
The home of the Holy Grail they revered.

The room guarding The Grail sparkled with gold,
Hundreds of cups lined the intricate walls.
Together the comrades stood and puzzled.
Which of these cups would bring about their falls?

Would it be a goblet, made out of glass?
Could something like The Cup be plainly wood?
Arthur studied the many chalices.
He thought he’d found it, no one understood.

On a pillar was a gold glass, shining.
Its pleasant brightness filled up the whole room.
Arthur was about to drink its liquid
When Alex interfered and met her doom.

Arthur’s brave knight wanted to try it first,
She knew the wrong choice would bring instant death;
So she begged Arthur to let her test first,
After drinking, she soon ran out of breath.

Alex knew that Christ was a carpenter,
She wasn’t surprised that he’d chosen wrong.
Alex knew that her love would bring her fall,
So our hero bade a silent so long.

New Voices

New voices
From a distance
stand a new kinds
So strong on their ground

 circumstances surrounding them
That they don't fear

beyond the eye
They see ahead of time
So Now they voice a vision
While they oppose an illusion

A mission they sure
Are on one as it is

The people don't understand them
Some now do but they are called poor

For this voices speaks words
Not familiar to made men

Braveness well shown on them
So it come as they are of a
New generation of now
The old of now
they are here to change
May be through them
history is
About to change hands

Above all that is popular
They live above the knowledge
Of popularity

Doe still trying to survive
The system now
 Surviving to show a deferent
Positive side of life
That oh that
The world don't want to hear now
For truth so bitter

The life's now so ugly
So this voices are here
For a change

Words so rare is the language
They voice to wake up the world

Every where u could hear them
Around you may be
You might have had them
May be some one you know or not
If you ever hear those new voices
I advice take a moment
open up your mind
For is not of vain hearing this
New voices

Sir Captain Himself

He’s the captain in a one ball game,

He’s a childish guy like they are all sage and same.

Friends call him captain,

Armored with braveness and his group of ten.

He’s the captain whom you ever like,

He makes good friends like that guy called Mike.

He sometimes create a screeching sound,

It’s painful in my ears like a tortured guy who is drowned.

He’s brave and that’s a strange fact!

Whenever he has problem, he doesn’t want to be backed up.

He zips his mouth like a baby fed with a bottle of milk,

He doesn’t want to talk about it like a useless quiet silk.

He’s puts C in the word COLOR!

He brightens everyone like a lightning valor.

He is in fact our captain!

That turbo guy is wrongly thought to be our villain.
