We Call It Time

We lose when we love,
retain the dripping remnants
of losses we keep.

We call it time,
but cease to count the raging moments
of a sandstorm
when it cries.

And then we say goodbye,
a final soreness of heart
that in braveness,
says "no"...

Thanks, Christine. This was particularly heartfelt as the poem is about the one year anniversary of losing my best friend. And it kinda hurt.
