Bottoms Up

I just hit rock bottom I fear
The landing sure tore up my rear
A BADLY bruised butt
But hey, ya know what?
I'm starting to LIKE it down here

Bottoms Up

I sit here and i wonder , why i have my soul in my lap and this pen in my hand, i've earn my stripes they said, and the blood is not mine to keep, but as the rounds tumble to the ground i lose more and more of my self ,

i wake up to the sounds of automatic gun fire, this time ever so close, sweat drips from my body heavily, with only one choice , i move thru the rocket propelled venom that's spitting thru my walls, i hear there screams as i tumble this body into the night torwards there cries, evil breaks the sound barrier has it rockets passed my head into the crooked pictures on the wall, i arrive , there they are two children, in pure terror , screams you've never heard and never want to.

i can only take one ,reaching down, i scoop up a boy, he as well is drenched in sweat, tears ,snot, and drywall,

i exit the room crouched down i scream to my partner move! grab the girl!!
here arms are over her head covering it like the depleted uranium rounds wont pierce thru her skull as they pass thru the house , again another piece of venom passes by my head breaking the sound barrier , reminding me , i am all alone , i can not go back , i must move forward leaving them,

i run into the never ending darkness with a boy in my arms and his little hands grasp tightly around me, we run , stumble thru the darkness, to are savior , a porcelain bath tub we collapse inside and i pray for the machine gun fire to stop, screaming her name hoping to hear her voice still. i hear nothing .

i dont care if you like this poem ,story whatever you want to call it, and i dont care about spelling errors , or poets or poems, it was solely for my peace.

Premium Member At the Bottoms Dropped Out

At the Bottom's dropped out.

I'll write to you
the end of the story.
The only one i know.
Sundown on a field of dandelions.
No step closer to rapture,
I smiled with no hurry
when i found myself here,
at the bottom's dropped out.

It never rests.
not even when it's over.
Like stale conversation
without bread nor water.
A river martin's graceful flight.
My smile came easy
when i saw you here
at the bottom's dropped out.

Lampblack spills on a white canvas,
like a clock running out of time.
The mood a smile brings on,
it never has to die.
Dustup Old Frisian theological nonsense.
The clouds burst with meaning
at the bottom's dropped out.

Like a sun spot on the Sun
Life stands still
as seasons change.
It’s not worth winding up the long rewind
of a slippery slope
towards yesterday’s face another time.
Let's have last seen each other here
At the bottom's dropped out.

Depression Poems While the Guitar Player Tunes Up At Sandy Bottoms

1. Inevitability

The rain will come
and be rude.
The wind blow away
all quietude.
Erase it?

Debase it?
You have no power
and when it's
your hour, you'll
go, you know.

2. Drowning

My foot tapping time, O sweet,
he cannot know he echoes mine.
He's not in this world, but I am.
Take me there! Right foot: the Koran,
the Old Testament. He's young,
I'm not. He's playing for Happy Hour,
while his girlfriend sells her jeweled
stones her shiny koans, One,
Two, his right foot beats rhythm.

Testing,Testing. he doesn't know
he keeps me from the ocean
the dolphin and the whale,
the ashes of my brothers, his
sandaled foot, beating time,
beating time.

Bottoms Up

Heavy handed was the pour
convex cap to rim of glass
chasers iced and doubled back
dry toast to soothe an empty flask.

Innkeepers have their history
in treating drunkards mystery
disguising in replete display
the demon haunts their every day.

Premium Member Our Bottoms Get Heavy

When we're young'uns, our hourglass is full
Surrounded by fillies, we charge ahead like a bull
With the passage of time
The sands realign
Our bottoms get heavy and we run out of fuel

Butts and Bottoms

They say in life you should start at the bottom and work your way up
Butt your bottoms in the middle, I’m betwixt, in between
Well that’s a bit of a bummer which way do I turn
My only saving grace is your bottom is so gorgeous
So I’m in no rush to pull away
The view is unbelievable, what an amazing pair of cheeks
So rounded and alluring I’m always taking a peek
For all I ever want to do is admire and caress
Each cheek lovingly filling the palm of my hands
I gently need away, as you do with dough
Just the texture is more softer resembling more a fruit you know
The feels not that of a melon, too round and hard
Perhaps a little smaller like a lemon or a lime
But they taste sour and your bums nothing like that
What about a plum, I must be getting close
Don’t be silly you’ve already got your plums in your sack
I’ve only gone and cracked it
What a lovely peach of a bum you have; I can vouch for that.

Premium Member Really Big Bottoms

Way down south in the land of cotton
Love and friendships are not forgotten
They thrive in full bloom
Under the big yellow moon
Some backwoods girls have really big bottoms

Bell Bottoms

In the 60's, dungarees
(Not jeans, if you recall)
Were worn with big wide flaring bells
And floor-length they would fall.

My favorite pair were cut real low,
Hip-hugging and skin-tight.
A fringy belt of suede made sure
My clothes looked out-of-sight.

The bottoms grazed the ground and thus
Would rip and slightly shred.
I added some embroidery;
You'd notice that instead.

Today my jeans are from the Gap
And though they're kinda flared,
They're nothing like the ones I wore
When hippie fashions fared.

But I'm no longer who I was
Back then, so young and free,
When my embroidered bells announced
The me I hoped to be.

Premium Member Bottoms Up

Beached the sun-bleached bottoms
of small boats color the sand scape,
safely turned bottoms-up
far from the high tide’s line.
They lay in wait beneath the teardrop rain,
huddled from the bay’s breath, they hide.
It is only the lap of languid wave that bides.

I have always wanted to see the world
From the bottom up
So when I die
don't cry
Throw my ashes down the toilet
And flush with vigor
while shaking the handle
here is looking up at you

Premium Member Butterfly Rainbow Bottoms

Butterfly Rainbow Bottoms is my neighbor’s new dog.
Can you guess the ages of their three children?
If you said four, six and eight, you are right.

Butterfly Rainbow Bottoms' name has been adjusted to BRB
Can you guess why?
If you guessed daddy embarrassment, you are right.

Bottoms Up

When my dad said bottoms up, he wasn't talking about drinking booze.
He taught me that drinking is not a good thing to choose.
I was drinking in his house at the age of eighteen.
He was furious and he put me over his knee.
He beat my butt cheeks like a pair of bongos with his hands.
He even started using my ass for bongos when he joined a band.
He had never beat my butt like that before.
If you drink in your dad's house, your ass may be sore.
