Best Bengal Tiger Poems
Eye of the Tiger
Those eyes – piercing amber -
So like mine
Smoldering with uncaged curiosity
I drown in the golden pools
As I stalk across the floor
Captured in a tractor beam of curiosity’s wonder.
Who is this little one
Who stands so bold outside
The boundaries of my cage yet lives in me?
This little one who stands unflinching
As I approach
On padded powerful paws of rolling withers
How I long to gaze
Into her eyes
And tell my savannah stories – homeland odyssey
How I long to hear
Her small voice tell her biography –
The jungle chronicles and fables of her life
How could you have
Sun smoldering eyes like mine?
Child and tiger never conceive the same families.
Little one don’t leave me!
Don’t depart without sharing
The feral eye of the tiger!
Little one, your memory possesses me
Through the amber of our eyes
My emerging fantasies, epic midnight saga sequels.

My eyes are an amber color like that of a tiger. When visiting a zoo at ten years old, I stopped by the Bengal tiger display because I love cats of all sizes. A huge, male tiger lumbered over and looked me directly in the eye as if to say: “Where did you get my eye color and why are you out there instead of being in here with me, cuz!”
Dancing vibrant hues
Blink in shades of blue
Peafowl, A majestic bird
Our nation's pride
Peacock - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Yellow sturdy physique
On glimpsing him, the forest shrieks
Bright black stripes on body regal
Stands the royal bengal tiger
Tiger - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Smirking amidst the fecund pond
Pink beauty lotus lightens the land
To glance her in the morning,
Arises the sun gleaming
Lotus - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
A lofty banyan tree
deepens its roots free
Broadens its spiritual hereditary
Coerces to confront the world contemporary
Banyan - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Camaflouged with dry leaves
A dry leaf butterfly make us perceive
Don't judge by the veneer
Orange butterfly our seer
Oak leaf - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Our mother earth, the queen
Dons the elegant dress in green
And the blue crown forever
And so our place is prosperous ever
Ever friendly weather - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Ancient books and poems
classical songs and rhythms
Valluvar, Vyasan, Kamban, Bharathi
Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi
Poets, cultural treasures & languages - The prides of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
Like different euphoric rivers
Accumulating minerals and deliver
We travel in a path discrete
But at the same sea we meet
With diverse faith and believes
With the varied swaying leaves
We still shine with glee
As we affixed to a single big tree
Named India
Diversities - The pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

Tiger Tiger, your eyes are bright,
In the forest of Shundarban at night;
You have sharp paws and eyes,
You get stronger at night for preys.
When the moon starts to give light in the skies.
The Shundarban started to be burn with the fire of your eyes,
There is no hand that can stop your aspire,
Who can dare to seize your eyes fire.
Who has shoulder to you fight?
None can reach to your height.
If some one wants to you beat
They suppose to have strong feet,
Is there any hammer or chain?
In which can smash your brain.
No eyes can forget ever your style of grasp
It can compare to terrors clasp!
When you try to kill deers with your sharp spears
The rest of the animals shade their tears:
They can do nothing but to see
No one will come to attack thee.
Tiger Tiger, your eyes are bright,
In the forest of Shundarban at night;
You have sharp paws and eyes,
You get stronger at night for preys.

in India’s heat
the spoors of a lone creature. . .
leading to water
in a shallow pool
the solitary beast bathes. . .
sun pours down golden
a lame gaur wanders
near the tall yellow grasses. . .
the crouching tiger
around the carcass
two females join in to feed. . .
benevolence reigns
racing with shadows
as dusk steaks the orange sky. . .
the Bengal tiger
Written 7/29 for Shadow Hamilton's New Contest Tigers Living Free
Between the Indian plains and the hills of Burma.
Protected by the affection of its three guardians,
The Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna.
From there - this story began.
On a grassland full of hopes and dreams.
Right at the edges of Brahmaputra river.
Lying there without any wheezes,
A sad and lonely royal bengal tiger.
He remembers the smell of the Sal trees,
In Bhawal Park near Dhaka, his place of birth.
He remembers the sounds of peacocks, elephants, and deers
His heart wish they were not yet became a myth.
He has been a part of Pohela Boishakh feast.
When people bathe early and dress in fine clothes.
All the men put on their kurta, or the finest lungi at least
While women dress in sharee, letting their beauty to be exposed.
Tears streamed from his cheek. As the old tiger weep.
A momentary recalled the legends of his ascendant.
The story of the one whose once Sultan beloved,
And the one whose survives the liberation war in 1971.
The tiger now stood, underline his courage and chivalry.
"Will this liberty be felt by my offspring?" his mind fly.
Despite the poverty, instability, and all its vulnerability,
There is more to Bangladesh than meets the eye.

through Bengal bushes
golden black stripes ominous,
beauty, ferocious !
There is a forest named Shundarban,
It's not similar to the forest of Bandarban.
It's famous for Royal Bengal Tiger,
It's also famous for deer.
It's time to save our Shundarban.
So you think you are superior species…
You think animals are below your
standards, that they are wild beast…
Well, you belong to that species
“Animal” you are not, a vegetable…
Do you think, you are better than,
the other person standing or sitting
next to you…
Well, you are not, we are but
one race, one family and that is
the Human Race…
Remember these animals don’t see
or know the difference, a snow leopard
is the same as the African leopard;
the white tiger is related to the
Bengal tiger and so on…
So why does the human race see
peoples as different?
We are all related
and should be able to get
along with each other…

My name is Fritz, Shrödinger’s Cat,
I sometimes wonder where I’m at.
Within a small world I exist;
My master, he’s a physicist
Who talks of protons, neutrons too,
Held in place with magic glue.
He’s weird and in his element
Performing this experiment.
Trapped in a box and full of strife,
I feel I’ve only half a life.
My fate decided by old Geiger,
I wish I’d been a Bengal tiger !
My feline life hangs by a thread;
In two minds if alive or dead,
I muse “To be or not to be,
That, is the real uncertainty”.
His scientific articles
On sub-atomic particles,
Ionising radiation
And his famous Wave Equation
Earned Erwin cherished Nobel Prize.
I stare at him with knowing eyes –
He’s overlooked I have nine lives –
Against the odds, the CAT survives !
How I Travel to the Moon
As I sleep, I travel to the moon
Do not know what to expect
Or if I will be returning soon
Surprise to say, some may think that this "planet" is a reject
I find myself upon this escarpment
Looking to the north, I see a glass building two stories tall
This is a greenhouse, and two young children in predicament
A huge Bengal tiger upstairs, waiting for them to fall
These human aliens silently cry out for help
So I intend to put my life on the line, to save these strangers
I cannot bear to see them eaten, and their remains put upon a shelf
To be certain, I am ready to face extreme pain and many dangers.
So I quickly move upstairs; I calm the tiger down
One boy, one girl; so scared, so frozen in time
I talk kind words to these kids and swiftly lead them to the ground
To rescue two kids from certain death, but the glory is not mine

A feral predator
Imposing. The largest
Wild cat of them all
Untamed. Fierce. Stealthy
Ambush assassins on the prowl
Leaping onto prey
With lightning speed
Killing without mercy
Using its large canine teeth
To rip off a sizeable chunk
Of flesh, and to crush bones
This mammoth cat is no vegetarian
Using those razor-sharp retractable claws
To seize and hold an unfortunate prey
Ambush assassins on the prowl
Native to South Asia
This is also a maneater
This is the Bengal Tiger
A feral predator
