I Don'T Believe In Fairytales

 Like an evening sun
I settle by the lake
Wearing nothing but my thought
as I recall your name.

I recall last moments
Green shades where we have been
Your voice,a wailing flute
playing in the wind.

The sight of you- a mountain
The scent of you -fresh rain
The warmth of you- a bird nest
Your eyes- Wishing sky-lanterns
...drifting far away.

In this darkest hour, like a marionette
I waltz without your whisper
as white swans pirouette.

The sound of rushing water
 still cascades by our cave
 Shards'glow from a bonfire
once flickered on your face.

The smile, the echoing laughter
The raft,the night and day
Concern,longing and loss
Regrets and one more game.

In silence,the shape of absence
One bottle of champagne
A toast to empty glasses
Another fairytale.

Reminiscing fond memories
Indulging in the past
Unsaid are all the answers
to questions never asked.

Just a poem.

life can be a ravaged garden
and I have been through a lot in mine
living through tons of grief and sorrow
have asked God why I am alive ?
what purpose do I serve in this world ?
and when storms shake the ocean of my sleep
God whispers to me you are alive
because it is written in my book of destiny
that you have a purpose to fulfill
            look at your precious moments

so, I smile each day because it makes me feel good
and laugh 'cause laughter is the music of my soul
I drink from a deep blue cup of sky
and I cry when I recall my loved ones gone
it is hard each day to be me
to hide the scars on the roadmap of my life
accepting that my world is weather-stained

but there are things that are music in my life
like writing, art, books, a true friend, nature
I love birds singing and wildflowers
meadows, trees swaying, streams, rivers
                     oceans and seas
the clouds that sail across the sky and I am inspired
                        recalling precious moments
of picking wildflowers as a child

memories stir my feelings of the past
they are dark and sad ... though often are blessings
precious moments
and I embrace them with love, holding them close
I kiss these memories that remind me
of who I am ... and fill me with hope and thankfulness
these memories that I hold precious
that give me the reason to believe

I had a dream...

I am sleeping on a cloud. Upon awakening, I gaze at planet earth below. From my vantage point I can see the globe in its entirety. Something has changed. Before falling asleep I was watching the news. It spoke of war, inflation, hatred and prejudice. There was talk of deforestation, desertification, plastic pollution and radiation poisoning. People were fighting, they were killing. Spilled blood was everywhere, staining the beauteous land.

But the world I am seeing now is at peace. The lion sleeps with the lamb. People from all cultures, nations and languages are living in harmony, a true rainbow of mankind. The air is sweet, the waters pure and clear as crystal. Instinctively, I get down on my knees and pray to the God of heaven, as tears of confusion and joy stream down my face. A soft, low voice from above calls to me: "My son, no need for tears any longer. Look! I have made all things new." It is only then I understand, this is no dream after all. I am in paradise!

Premium Member Believe In Yourself

If only for today...
Would you believe?
Not in a deity
Not in someone else
Not in some grand idea
But in yourself
We put faith in what is around us
But little of it finds a home
Within the depths of our soul
But there is one reality
Nothing is realer than you
Nobody ever knows you like you
Your deepest thoughts
Your greatest fears
What you see in the mirror
All uniquely personal
Language is imperfect
And something is lost when spoken
Be good to yourself
Be honest with yourself
Be the one you see in the mirror
Painted beautifully
With all your hopes and dreams
And no
You won't be some grand idea
You won't be someone else
You won't be some deity
For one day...
Would you believe...
In yourself?

Premium Member Imagine

Imagine a world
Where silence fills the void,
Sighing so its heard,
A voice raining kindness.

Imagine a life
Where joy is alive inside
The ones who know strife
Will be erased by serenity’s smiling

Imagine a dream
Where God is at the center
Giving inspiration to redeem,
Filling the heart with generosity
And peace!

Imagine a heart
Who listens to the hope
Echoes wonders so amazing,
Embracing the sound of a prayerful
Whisper, breaking apart….

The darkness, the hurt, the doubt
So that there is not even one cloud
To dim the joy, the awesome shout
From the soul who feels this love, so real
Wiping away every tear, bringing out
The answer to every fear…

Just imagine what it means to believe
That God, in all His glory…
Came to this world to relieve every
Spirit of the burden it carries,
The endless need for forgiveness…

IMAGINE – grace that can save the soul
From the shadows of past sins,
Mending with a love that makes us whole
So we know what it is to believe
In the wonder that is reality, the goal
Is to imagine with the faith to know…
This is a faith that will forever console,
Bringing peace that is beyond description…

Imagine a world…
Where love is given unconditionally
With a heart that knows that God
In all His glory, will come back for His church,
The church built from the people…
Who believe in His love, His grace, His light…
Never letting go of the faith that brings
Peace beyond comprehension, peace that lives
At the center of the believing that reassures
Every soul that knows – Jesus is alive

He is the love who cannot die!

Imagine a world…
Who takes the time, this Easter,
To remember His sacrifice
And the glory that shines so bright
From the heart who believes
He is ALIVE,… and we can know
The love that we imagine – exists inside
Those who believe in His resurrection.

This Easter, I’m so thankful I’m forgiven
By a love that is still alive and giving
Light to the darkness, joy to the desolate
Faith to the unfaithful and peace to the hectic.
This Easter, I know that I’m so very blessed!

Premium Member I can’t believe I thought that

I can’t believe I thought that there’d be no darkness when it’s dawn,
I’ll be your queen of hearts, even if the cosmos did crack,
‘forever’ exists as an unseen reality, and the sun will always sprinkle saffron crumbles,
upon vivacious petals of violet roses,
painted by poetic dreamers with writers block,
amidst sharpened thorns and thickened thistles.

But why do golden flares burn the selfless skin of silken silhouettes that swirl to his salmon streaks?
Is there no empathy left in cerulean spheres?

I remember the warmth of his solar presence,
and how he whispered sweet tales to the blue breeze;
he said he loves the storm that sits on
the edge of angst,
yet he chose to flee, in the quest of citrine light,
at the sight of roaring rain and raven clouds,
too reluctant to walk beneath skies engulfed in chaos.

I ponder, who am I to blame?
when the truth is, I assumed the splitting songs of this thunder-struck canvas,
would never be a reason for him to erase inked promises.

Perhaps, I should have seen, how the sparkling stars waned in silence,
and the moon veiled its pearl necklace,
tired of the monsoon monsters, mercilessly moving,
above seas so calmly awaiting~
cantaloupe wings of the compassionate sun.

So, today, I’ll follow our honey-glazed dreams,
still left along ivory shores,
adorned with seashell souvenirs,
while reminiscing how, you wove profound pantoums,
from refined refrains of rhythmic romance,
to calm the lawless nature of my inner-psyche. …

I am bold in spite of my fears.
I am strong in spite of weak-
ness.
I can fly high although my wings
are hurt.
I can see even though some-
thing is blocking my view.
I can love in the midst of hate
I can hope although it looks
bleak.
I can dance although I can't
feel my legs.
I can sing even though I have
no voice.
Because believing in self makes
the impossible possible.

Premium Member Few Believe

The numbers spike ever higher
  Tiny sparks now raging fires
The unseen killer makes his rounds
  Headaches throb, chests pound

Streets deserted, sidewalks too
I wear a mask at home with you
A nation's nightmare, no end in sight
  Few believe it'll be alright

Honesty
Cross your heart and hope to die*
Speak the truth and look directly into someone's eyes
Then the world will know you are not lying

I Believe

I believe we are all family....
  and golden
  and our souls (are One)
  with starlight

I believe in the love in your eyes(all)
as oceans blue, brown, black and green
  infinite with immortality

I believe the children come first ---
and we should leave them when we go
(with greater hope than our own)

I believe we can end all wars
  and starvation
and folly long in the tooth ---
and have the very first democracy
  (without capitalism gone awry)

I believe the world longs for peace,
but there are too many ass*@#es! ---
  to make a difference

I believe in reincarnation
for only one man got it right with one try

I believe in heaven
  because this world ain't enough

I believe in the truth
  which is the greatest teacher
  with love as its motivation

I believe in authentic freedom
and not the chains of illusion

I believe in Jesus
  because he is devotion itself

I believe in God
  (I believe in you)

Only Make Believe

Love me though it's only make believe
Kiss me though I really know
You hold me close to just deceive;
Let that one sweet second flow
Over me lest it sink and break
My poor heart, for pity's sake.

Lend me faith for my belief
Give me from your eyes a smile;
Take away this wretched grief
And hold me close a little while.
I suffer now and surely know
You tease me with my forlorn woe.

Sing to me sweet and low
Tell me that you gently weave
Dreams of me although I know
You only play at make believe.
It hurts so much although it's plain
You are the one who scorns my pain.

Premium Member I Believe

I believe God exists with all of my heart
and I pray His Spirit will never depart.
For my soul recognizes that He is Divine,
with infinite wisdom I cannot define.

A void in my heart is filled with His Being,
for faith affirms, I believe without seeing.
And through miracles of conception and birth,
eternal souls get to experience Earth.

While working through others, His love is revealed,
His Presence in their hearts cannot be concealed.
And my soul senses His hand extends to all,
one need but ask, and He'll help any that call.

He lives in my heart, influencing my fate
His message is love, never anger or hate.
And His love's too real to merely dismiss,
His Spiritual Presence fills me with bliss.
