Bright blue butterfly
I saw you flutter by
Upon a zephyr breeze
Brilliant bejewelled wings
They dazzled me
My heart with joy it sings

I watched you dance
From bush to plant
Sipping nectar through your tongue
Basking blissfully in the summer heat
spreading your wings out in the sun

Placed inside some wisp of perfections chalice
The intonations gather which
The tears have shed
For gratitude released their happiness

I loved you some when in another life
Where the pink purple forest bows
Hung their silver leaven halls
In marble sunsets painted wash on cloistered walls

Their reminiscence of Arabian ankle bells
As you walked barefoot through blue grass fields
The moons luminescent as soft pale to your skin
Echo timeless on a blanket of stars

These iridescent reveries linger in cobweb threads
Set bejewelled in morning mist
They brush the glitter-frosted powder from your cheek
Dream you are awake, eternal, sleeping Princess

I love you this time in the calligraphies of ink
Kismat writ in both our palms lovers make
Standing on the water rivalled glitter of the sun
Falling maiden of the Crystal Lake

Should time bring chill the mountains to your feet
And shades drown the light of auburn hair
Remember me then; where your dreams began
I will always be waiting there

So etched in the fairy tale lines of our hands
Was a destiny life had just not planned
As we danced in the wake of hearts tidal wave
United some day to the promise we made some when

I love you next time in another life
Though in each time I have asked you to be my wife
The curious connections of infinite souls
Will never let you go

I love you this time in the calligraphies of ink
Kismat writ in both our palms lovers make
Standing on the water rivalled glitter of the sun
Falling maiden of the Crystal Lake

The Deliverance

O'er fields strewn with harvested evergreens,
There ventured a marine from Queens,
His flesh were a slight inky, his clothing was ragged,
No more alive, flowing in dread and haggard.

All around him darkness loomed quite blue,
Once a fair surround, radiant and imbue,
In the light he walked there, shadowed by fear,
But tragic winds did jinx his heart severe.

Then wondering thro' rain and stormy clouds,
Opaque in brittle hues, ghostly in shrouds,
With white shades of bubbling horror his evermore,
A mere ripple in earth's waters he'd deplore.

Onwards thro' the crushing storm he trekked,
The landscape ahead was defiantly suspect,
Its dour horizon presented a challenge to survey,
Where the sounds of thunder it rapt his day.

In raucous rumbles the marine heard the sky,
As frightening, with spawns of black fly,
Memorialized in his sleep, to haunt him evermore,
Then have brews of mystique he'd explore.

And a bejewelled goose would decorate his path,
There draped in quaint linen it felt his wrath,
Murmuring quietly the water bird flew into the light,
As bright as the sun, in some alluring plight.

To dream of despair, tenebrous in its imagery,
Hypnotic, muttering of death and infinity,
There with the wink of an eye he let the sunshine in,
His mother then smiled at her miracle kin.

She'd been there all along thro' his tribulation,
That struggle of low bumps and amputation,
Rosemary oil bid him comfort there as he woke,
From a coma it were, but horrors did evoke.

Down the pallid rush of melancholy misfortune,
A marine was reunited with life all impromptu,
His will to live it were strong after what he'd seen,
So two bungalows he obtained from a queen.

Premium Member Reflection

Do you like me for my form
And my cosmetic moments
With their conceits and affectations,
Bejewelled with glittering gewgaws,
Hinting at the scents of summer,
All show but no substance,
Holding back the acrid stench of death?
For you ,my beauty is but word deep.

Perhaps you see in me your soulmate,
Reflecting what you inwardly believe,
Allowing you to remain in your comfort zone,
Safe from all challenge
And the barbs of pointed criticism.
Secure your world stands
As long as you do not look behind
Or beyond horizons that hold you bound.

Or are you just a voyeur
Sailing on the seas of sensation
Living your life vicariously
To avoid precariously
What you dare not,
Rather like the lady of Shalott,
Reading life through someone else's mirror
To save your soul?

Maybe you do look deeper
To see where we differ.
Confident in your own skin
You are ready for new terrain,
Awkward and stumbling though that may be.
You look before you leap
But forge fearlessly forward,
Willing to face all that lies ahead.

Be all that as it may,
I am but a poor poem,
Taking my existence
from you, the reader.
That is my fate.
Begotten,not made,ugly by my creator,
Accepting myself for what I am,
Yet I am fully at your disposal or neglect.

Premium Member Perfume Scented Letters

Perfumed Scented Letters.
.
Perfumed scented letters
Written in ink with such depth of emotion
And intense devotion
Flowing from the fountain of the heart
With so much gratitude warmth and affection
And forever love yet so far apart
A sweetheart bares her heart and soul
Like welcomed sunlight upon a winters day
But with heavy heart
For her love so far away
.
Tears fall like raindrops
And blur the elegant written lines
Another scrunched up discarded letter
Written at least ten times
.
Illuminated by candle light
She tries to write throughout the night
Trying to write with a more happier refrain
And hold back the tears
With her heart in so much pain
.
Eventually the letter is written
Enclosed a photo of herself for her love
To put in his pocket next to his heart
And a pressed flower picked
From a summer bejewelled lush meadow
They’re secret meeting place
Where their love did start
.
She seals the letter with a loving kiss
And breaths out a sigh
Why did he have to go away
With little time
To say goodbye
.
A moment alone with a pause of the rage of hell
Her love love clings on to those precocious memories
Through his sweethearts words
And the scent of her loves sweet perfume
He loved and knew so well
.
Many miles and waves between them
Keeping the apart
But never ever forgotten
Always in prayers thought
And heart.

Spring Abounds In Abundant Bountiful Glory
The sun above opens up the door
Morbid dark foreboding skies
Get swept away
The treasure chest opens up once more
And spills its overflowing treasures
Upon the new fertile ground
As a new day and a new season is freshly born

The welcomed taste of the summer
A promise and reminder
Of things yet to come
With cheerful hearts, we can relax again
And aspire to leisurely play and have some fun

The spectacular lavish bejewelled mosaic
Of varied textures and varied colour forms
Pastel shades and hues
Please one's eyes once forlorn
Now with prosperity lifting our spirits up
Filling our famished hearts like the golden corn.

The Real Me

I'm okay, you're okay is a mask in the land of pretend.

I see a face in the mirror.
I do not recognize the firelight facade
Is this the real me
hiding a darkness beneath the mask?
sprinkled fairy dust on pores of skin
layered makeup waxed on blemishes
strokes of rouge and fake eyelashes
and with mascara concealed miseries,
am I too pretending that all is well?
festering weary wounds in band-aids,
I do not know how to remove them.
The show goes on...dawn to dusk.
then the music stops and masks fall off.
flecks of sunlight stream through leaves
swirling amber in the last rays of afternoon
I see smiling eyes in the mirror
a real pearl bejewelled face
a garland of white jasmine.
I find the real me.

Space-Time

Wormholes winding wackily in space-time
Time twists and turns endlessly in space -time
Pulsars pirouetting with perfection in space-time
Singularities sitting silently waiting in space-time

Nascent nebula nestling together in space-time
Galaxies gorgeously gleaming spinning in space-time
Asteroids appearing aimless moving in space-time
Comets creating chaos as they travel in space-time

Divine deity’s design or quantum chance space-time
Universe unfurling unabated creating space-time
Bejewelled beauty begotten of space-time
Only a poet can promise perfection to match that which we dwell in.

Emma

No cheek was there, ere so fair, nor morning breath so cool
Red ribbons in her long blonde hair, eyes shining as bejewelled

With movement gently delicate, graceful as a swan
Her mind so nimbly intricate, a smile for everyone

Her spoken word, mellow and light, her voice as soft as sleep
The stories that she told each night, she said, were mine to keep

I saw her grow from babe in arm, as life began to weigh
Blessed with every worldly charm, to woman of today

Rabbits

"Rabbits"

down the rabbit hole
we go

looking
for what, we are yet
to find and fully know

love leads us through
we look back for a little while
we observe shadow’s sad reflections

calling out to us
in the setting sun
we turn away, face forward,

we've just begun

we are at the intersection
and the Pooka
whispers -

"there’s no place like home"
"there's no place like home"
"there's no place like home"

time pulls us in, it runs
like a rabbit, fast
that ridiculous rabbit runs

breeds
urgency
a trite necessity

we’ve now opened emerald gates
our journey rumbles us
into the bejewelled jungle

familiars give us trouble
we fall in love fast
we bleed and stumble

we get up again
along the road
we grow,

we try for a while
to be sensible,
we try to be humble

humour winks,
and warns

invisible
rabbits

are trouble

Phoenix Dreams In the Realm of Crows

“Phoenix Dreams in the Realm of Crows”

wake up
shake up
kaleidoscope girl

jigsaw
see saw
fit the pieces

she
another world
away

the in-betweeen
flows easily
through the veil

safe harbour
opening
portals

for ocean steering
curious kaleidoscope
stories to sew

the slip stitch
love knot cast
anchor’s raised

time’s racing
discharge fear
or remain

feathers spreading
in the realm
of crows

poetic
messengers
casting their spells

for opening
tombs turning
dead leaves to tomes

in the crowded hideaway
where shorthand, fixed tight to masts,
swings suspended for transcribing

dark nights,
where soft and fierce
treasure dwells

feathers spreading
cunning cuneiform for ghosts
who speak in tongues

transformative
strange letters
unfurling

spreading
deep indigo and
jesserant jet feathers

swords and keys
for plundering
and opening

impromptu places
mysterious better nests
for hidden golden eggs

broken yoked,
freed
spilling silver spoons,

curl love drunk
into warm skinned
velvet embryos

hugging new bodies
of work, slick palaces
for bedding

better never-endings
never ending,
electric muses

flocked
and kissing
sated singing

dreams
in the realm
of crows

the in-betweeen
flows easily
through the veil

safe harbour
opening
portals

for ocean steering
bejewelled St Elmo
phoenix fire stories lit, to sew

the slip stitch
love knot cast
anchor’s raised

astral charting
glossy winged stars
albatross angels

waxing lyrical
follies and flights
ignited, illuminating

phoenix dreams
in the realm
of crows

No One Is You

I endure the pang of solitude...the sigh of a forlorn love
Time is no healer, every sand of time brings in moments
I hasten to go- halves with none but You,
My confidant, my best soul mate
To lose the man I had relied on for so long
Is utterly devastating...
Never was life bed of roses,
But all that mattered when you were around
Only you can understand the depths of my pain
Only you can feel my deafening silent tears
People say you left in a hurry... so untrue...!
You're right here in full flesh and blood as me.
You made me strong and I will move on as you
See the care, courage and peace in my eyes
That bejewelled in you... oh yes,
You had all the time in the world to transform me into you
You did leave without a hint, but you were not in a hurry
The credence gets stronger in my heart,
As I gaze into the eyes of our progeny... yes,
They look at me the way I used to look at you
Eyes crammed with dream, faith and selfless love
My heart skips some beats that moment
To stand stronger than we had begun.
Ultimately, I discern that, it is not you who is lost!
You're right here in full flesh and blood as me.
It's me who is mislaid, lost in search of the refuge called you
When you've sapped all my tears and heart sunk in mourning
I realize... You're right here in full flesh and blood as me
I don't need me... I have your job to do
They're your legacy and I will bring them up as best I can
As a leopardess can't change her spots...
so as I remain who I am!
And you are the Apple of my eye forever!
Whatever I am today has come from you...
I am told, the pain will ease in time...
Time is no healer but I have learnt running along with time!
As of me, my lonely love shall find its way to you !!!

( In tribute to my beloved husband (late) Mr. Zakir Hussain)

Snow laden mountains -
  Sun sparkles like diamonds
  on icy cold loch

  Heart leaps with joy -
  playful otter is crowned by
  bejewelled water
