Back to Basics

When all the rust takes over and our final structure falls
When that wood has finally rotted and the final trumpet calls
When the last day here on earth has then become your first
There will only be one way to quench that human thirst

When the light here starts to fade and your eyes are growing dim
When our thoughts can quickly turn, to this world away from him
When the last thing that we hear is the first we start to see
If you get lost in the forest, simply focus on the tree

His blood has now been shed, and his sacrifice was made
He suffered and died for us, for our debt to be fully paid
There is no greater love than what God has given and sent
Harden not your heart, accept the truth and then repent

None of us are perfect and worthy we are not
We repeat the same old sins and squander what we’ve got
Just remember what I tell you as you watch the sunset fall
Jesus Christ died for our sins, and his blood was shed for all

Let's walk the country road and faithfully
keep cadence with the heartbeat of the wild,
where life, unveiled in naked truth, sets free
her gift of innocence. Just like a child,
unblemished...pure in body, mind, and soul...
finds simple joy with each new day unfurled,
we'll stand alone with nature and extol
the basic, priceless treasures of our world.

We've built our prison-cities; in their hold
like, programmed flesh-machines we stop and run.
The human longings in us soon grow cold
as we turn switches on for work and fun.

Let's walk the country road...let's laugh and play
before the tears of time wash it away.

Blah Blah Blah ... (Back To Basics)

Who cares about the slanders of olden days?
If today I say I’m willing to die for all man’s sins
And I really, truly mean it
Would you call me the savior of humanity?
Would you call me the Blasphemous antichrist?
Or would you crucify me for believing too much?
I too am molded in His image you know
Those poor ignorant martyrs couldn’t see
I cannot see how much has changed
It’s still the blind leading the blind
I will proceed towards a hasty retreat
I will be the nerd branded in silence
In the circle of popular beliefs
I will be the gay guy of non compliance
With so called opinionated decrees
I might be banished into the dark
But uniquely, I’ll make stars
And proudly call them my own

Premium Member Basics and Bicycles

My old bike is good for me,
It takes me from A to B
Times when I need to be alone
My bicycle and I on our own

Cars are fine for families,
Cruising along can be a breeze,
Cars are too expensive to run
Petrol prices are no fun.

Registration, Insurance, maintenance, and more
Cars can no longer be purchased by the poor,
Public transport fares will rise
Poverty for many before our eyes

What a miserable sorry state.
Welfare is necessary at this rate
Of affairs, we are in,
Without a mention of
War, Flood, Fire and sin.

Back to basics and common sense
It would help to recompense,
For some of those that feel a need
To cause corruption because of greed.

Greed and power, I can't abide
I need my old bike so that I can ride
So my trusty cycle and I can roam,
To a quiet place to dream alone.

Lifes Basics

Be For whatever it maybe
look at the wall of of reality
obseving the circumferance
the pro`s and the cons
with your feet firmly grounded, embracing loved ones
walk through life with a skip and a song
respecting your elders, you wont go far wrong.

Boil me down, 'til I'm only sediment.

Premium Member Stillness - Back To the Basics

Nothing new in the electrochemistry
It no longer is a scientific mystery
Waves Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, Gamma & Epsilon
Descending from buoyant ecstasy to a persona forlorn

Zodiac signs & rainbow colours assigned to chakras renamed
Esoteric yogic techniques, exponents aplenty, all self-proclaimed
Fiery verbal duels, by many an argumentative eristic
Each it seems is the ultimate mystic

Leaving profundity to theorists whose verbosity we acknowledge
What matters is assimilated wisdom, not vicarious knowledge
So we go in within, alone, in meditational stillness, upon a virgin path
Each moment in the time continuum, a holy sabbath

What we seek is expansive consciousness & joy eternal
And what is eternal is obviously not embraceable in the ephemeral
So we chop off perishable egoistic attachments, fear & desire
And straightaway plunge our non-self into the divine fire

How? In unseeking stillness within ... deep within
Where at each moment we anew begin
No conflict, no violence
Effortless stillness, rippleless silence

No agenda, no seeker, no doer
We are still, yet there is a mover
The flow of the Universe within into which we dissolve
Emerging from which we automatically evolve

What do we gain & what do we lose?
Irrelevant, for we are not, yet desirelessly choose
What we lose is our sorrow generating gross contaminant
Gain being ineffable, exalted, joyous divine love enablement

There is no way; our choice itself is the way
Save unendingly effusing love, no rules to obey
Thoughts sublime, words kind, actions benign
Self, Soul & Spirit thus align

Trust the Universe, plunge into its loving stream
We need to wake up now, from our narrow dream
Upon lighting a candle, darkness is instantly expelled
Surrendering to the divine, ignorance is automatically dispelled

And that is all there is to it
Doable if we do & never ever quit
Simpler the truth, it seems the more elusive it is
So perplexed we are by life’s jigsaw quiz

Don't shortchange our furry friends
Don't sluff-off those feathered ones
Have respect for gills flippers
All are very smart

While we search out ways to kill
While we slander our neighbors
Find new ways to dominate
They think of basics

Yes they only think of life -
How to stay alive each day
As said 'they think of basics'
Only kill for food

Search for food is exercise
Eat sleep and eliminate
These are the simple basics
How to stay alive

When man has devastated
Made a ruin of this earth
A few who follow basics
Will somehow survive

Back To Basics

I'm going back to basics
Tossing technology out the door
They say life is what you make it
I'm going to make it a natural world

The stars at night will be my candlelight
The open meadow my unmade bed
The Moonbeam will hold my calmest dreams
As I rest my weary head

When the morning peaks I'll have the mountain stream
To provide me with cool drink
And the berries from a nearby tree
Will be what I daily eat

I won't have any more deadlines
To stress my life upon
The only time that I will keep
Will be the season of the Sun

I will move when in the mood
Will be my whole new attitude
And sitting back relaxing
Will be the hardest thing I do

I'll carry on conversations
With the animals of the wild
I'm sure they'll make a lot more sense
Than those, I've left behind

If you think you'd like to join me
There's no need to pack a bag
I guarantee you'll be happy
With the little that you have

Four basic elements combine
In an association rare,
To insure that our lives survive.
One of the quartet, precious air.

Our bodies include an element,
Half our weight, up to three quarter.
We could only live for a few days
Without God's great gift of water.

He hung the sun up in the sky
When he made His great creation.
In revolution of one day,
Fire's shared with every nation.

Earth uses the four elements
To give birth to all of Nature.
So finely tuned how can Man doubt
There is a supreme Creator.

If one of the four were not to be
There could not be a you or me.

Back To Basics

I have stumbled and fallen
over life , love and everything in between
And after all that i've seen
Its safe to say , I no longer bleed!

You see I left my poetry
In the arms of a mad man
Hoping he would take care of better than I ever could
Without realizing that I had handed a piece of my soul to the devil's shadow
Who brused and broke it daily hoping to end me - maybe!

I left my poetry with a mad man
Simply because I thought all the pain I felt through it would stay away
Silly me - I almost faded away

Now im back
licked all my wounds
swallowed all my pride
and ready to take it back to basics!!

Many a people do forget the real reason
Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.
July or december keep faith without much a do
Getting and giving gifts on any day will do.
