Best Aspirin Poems
“Zoloft.” was someone’s loud, quick answer.
“Yasmin.” I heard, spoke by another. Huh?
“Xanax.” Was then offered.
While these people shouted, I stared, perplexed.
“Valium, is inside my pocketbook,
Unisom, too. It’s up to you.” said some voice.
”Thank you,” I began, “you are all dear,
Seems though, I have not been clear.
Really, all I want and need ….”
“Quick dissolving antacid is here, amid
Percocet in the drawer, in my desk,
Oxycotin, too. What bothers you?” again, someone interrupted me.
”Now that you ask,” I started to reply, “my only request,
Made just moments ago …”
“Lexapro, is in my bag.” Another spoke,
“Keep it with you all day, see if you’re okay.
Just know at work you can’t rest – it’s no joke.
It will tire a person in no time flat.” She went on,
“Happens fast, you will feel sleepy once you digest.”
”Gosh guys,” I felt mad, “this is like combat.
For goodness sake, do stop speaking out.
Everyone, hear my question, don’t make me shout,
Did any of you in this office
Consider that all I wish to
Borrow is a simple, genuine
Aspirin? Well, maybe two.”
I am not suprised you came to visit
I am not surprised It hurts when I see you
maybe it is you who missed me
or maybe it was me who called you.
but one thing I am sure
I do NOT want to know you.
This small piece is going to help me
This small piece every day.
One week, no longer than that
One week, and you will be less than a cat.
One every eight and one every four,
I swear I did it before.
This time I tell you
I am not that old
You are just a cold.

The grump got out of a lumpy bed,
Slipped on his slippers, scratched his head.
Stood on the scales, saw what he weighed,
Then made some toast with marmalade.
The grump then cycled down the lane,
He moaned and moaned as it rained.
He went into a chemist's shop
To buy some aspirin, then he stopped.
He peered at the grubby town outside,
Then popped a pill, before he sighed:
"I never wanted to be a grump,
But daily life gives me the hump.
I've got a headache, and the rain
On crowded streets drives me insane.
I cycle slowly but am disturbed
By cars and buses that splash the curb.
Even when I ring my bell,
And raise my fist, or often yell.
I get no peace, my head still thumps,
No wonder I always get the grumps!"
He cycled to his infant school,
Saw children playing by the hall.
It's not the place that he once knew,
With wicked teacher's like Mr Pugh.
A voice from near the big old gates
Said: "Hello, are you late?"
The headmistress smiled: "Never mind."
The grump walk in: "I'm just behind."
"Well, now your here, let's get you started."
She was smart, and so kind-hearted.
The grump then picked up all his tools
And began work there at the school.
The headmistress and the other staff
Did their best to make him laugh.
Poking fun at his grim manner:
"Cheer up, cherub!" joked teacher, Hannah.
Working at the school was pleasing,
He flourished there, despite the teasing.
The right people make work fun,
Just ask Ollie, the ex-grumpy One!
Whenever you get a headache where the pain pounds and continues to wallow
just follow the instructions written on the back of the aspirin bottle.

Warning on aspirin bottles: STAY AWAY FROM CHILDREN!
Sounds like pharmaceutical companies are taking a position
They're parents too
It's like a zoo
Be patient, their kids will grow up and be affected with this affliction
From the very first time I laid eyes on you,
I couldn't think of anything to say.
My heart couldn't resist this feeling,
Personally Knowing the moments that swiftly pass In the blink of an eye.
The glint of pain that presides.
Throbbing erratically.
In life I've felt pain before.
But not like this,
I think of you as relief.
An immediate rush to the head.
Dispersing through my body.
An Aspirin of all sorts
Thought to cure a moment of pain.
Not wanting to prolong any moment,
I took them without water, your words.
Needing you now,
A drug induced lullaby.
Hoping to awake with you in my arms.
If the only Medical publication in your doctor’s office is older than you…..
Run Forrest Run
On aspirin bottles these words are clearly written
Take two in the morning and “keep away from children”
Does it mean "stay away from your kids"
At least till the threat is eclipsed
You could wind up with blood red contusions
