Best Appreciated Poems
It is the same beautiful, sweet thorny rose received in both celebration of life and sorrow of death.
Received in life; a tendency to be consumed of beautiful, sweet possibilities, ignoring the thorns of death that must accompany.
Received in death, feeling only the pierce of thorns; in tears, drowning the sweetness and blurring the beauty of a more glorious life.
To be wise, is to appreciate the complete rose received in celebration of life.
To be at peace is to appreciate it when received in sorrow of death.

My latest President
also appreciated Americans
he may never meet
or hear
or smell
Not to mention out to get
ever better tasted,
with or without informed consent,
not so vulnerably seen
or transparently felt
with copassioned
trauma-free intent,
yet not actually met,
just yet
And
I am confused
that any President would feel
he needs to say this,
as if appreciating Americans
were a partisan platform
advocating politically
and economically unusual
universal health
and safe global wealth
resiliently inclusive policy priorities
Sacredly patriotic
EcoMatriotic regard
for nutrition-based
economic historical
polyculturing
cooperative space
for competing against divisive time
Wu-wei YintegralPower/YangLight
sacred/secular
transubstantiating neuro-sensory
WinWin/WinLose/LoseLose
co-mediating
eco-political communication grace
I readily concede
this unbecoming space,
I could be wrong
but I can at least imagine
Donald Trump
feeling and believing,
although jaded
disappointed
and dispassionately,
that he appreciates
all those NonWhite
NonStraight
NonPatriarchal EcoFeminists
he has never met
And would just as soon
not change his monopolistic bliss
to CounterCulturally encounter Othering
dark ignorance,
just yet.
I don't know if it is a positive
or negative coronary corollary
to further extend
this metaphoric analogy
Yet Trump,
unlike Biden,
could never get
a multiculturally gifted American
he has not yet met
But I would bet
it would be hard to vet
EarthTribe residents
too healthy to ever regret
not having had the pleasure
of meeting many Trumpian Americans
Cold greetings
likely best to forget
we all come from somewhere
Matriarchally sacred
as an interdependent
health care safety net
includes imaginatively appreciating
All those Others Othering
unfertilized good eggs,
and thus not yet met.

Parallelismus Membrorum
We dump waste
To recycle, remade or reuse
But we hide our feelings deep in the heart
Never mean for recycling
Happiness to be appreciated, to be remembered
And sadness to be discarded
Or to be transformed into an experience or a lesson
We keep our knowledge in mind
Never to be polished after retirement
But the world is changing every minute
Some old knowledge have to be
Recycled, improved, reused or discarded
We adopted old habits and beliefs
Without ever dropping them
But old habits and beliefs have to be sieved
Those beneficial and true remain
Recycling will yield experience, new knowledge and truth
Which will indeed lead to a happier life

Honesty will Always be Appreciated
We all live in a time now when crime happened to most of the people.
Doesn’t care about the unnecessary needs of life and having the different lifestyles with alcohol and drugs is the mindset of some people whom have been fallen into it dramatically.
The decency and honesty will be dropped by the influence of various addictive substances and we no longer think about how important is our attitude.
The attitude of getting the fellowship together is no longer being the most important factor because there are other desires and needs which matter most than friendship for some people.
A Good friendship is becoming rare, as fellowship has a different meaning now.
Almost everything are into financial benefits or to show how well we have done in managing our wealth.
This is just for getting the status in order to get more attention by others.
That is already a big mistake for some people, because if someone have big money, it doen’t matter how they have earned it, in the right or criminal way, because they only want to be benefited from it or enjoying the prosperity.
And this give other a free ticket to go into criminal things, because supposedly money does not smell.
These people lie, cheat and harm other but that is not a problem for people who choose to spend the money which is earn by criminal case, but they forget that the same could happen to them (The fox may loses his hair but not his cunning) thus they are also a victim by themselves.
And sooner or later they are going to pay for the consequences, because their dishonesty will be settled by law or when they meet the wrong person who does not accept what they do to them.
And to destroy our life by knowing that we are dishonest and be punished by imprisonment later or worse its not worth it and for sure they can’t keep cheating others for a long period.
What for sure is good for our habit and lasts lifelong with a good reputation is to give the opposite human an attitude without thinking bad and always to be honest and sincere.
Honesty will always be appreciated and give us the guarantee for a peaceful and good future.
I wish you a healthy life.
Kindly Regards,
Author Jan Jansen

Prose Poetry
Do you know what it’s like
To have your freedom back at last,
To be able to choose new colours
Once pinned out of reach to the mast,
To find tho’ you’ve lost your employment,
You can still retain all of your pride,
To discover the grass is greener
On the unexplored other-side,
To patch up your battered ego,
Once thought irretrievably torn,
To feel a strong urge to celebrate,
When others expect you to mourn,
To take a fresh look at careers,
When you thought it was all in the past,
To discover your destiny’s liquid,
And never in concrete cast,
To realise your aspirations,
Which no more are held on ice,
To alter your life’s ingredients,
And add a small pinch of spice,
To discover you’re no longer frightened
By things that are different or new,
To embrace all those sensible changes,
And take a much loftier view,
To keep everything in context,
And never let monsters appear,
To look to your dreams and take aim,
Keeping your sights crystal clear,
To be intimidated no longer
By applicants younger than you,
To know a wise captain will always
Choose an experienced crew,
To retain your sense of adventure,
Your instinctive love of fun,
To put down the now closed chapter,
And enjoy the one just begun,
To be welcomed back to life’s table,
And invited to sit down and dine,
To feast till you’re utterly bloated,
And swill it all down with sweet wine.

Rhyme
Forever lies the snake,
The animal with no legs.
Forever runs the hare,
Contenuosly hopping away.
Forever flys the bat
Innocent, yet feared.
Forever swims the swan
Innocent, but adored.
Forever leaps the mountain goat,
Cunning to live at mountain summits.
Foever lives the tortise,
An old, beloved race.
Forever to have something in common.
Are curious to what it is?
Take a guess, you see it every day.
I believe that its the fear of us,
For we put fear into them.
We forced them out of their homes.
We killed them off one by one.
But why I ask do we do this?
Shouldn't we treat them the same?
We should all know what its like to lose a home.
In times of war we are forced to flee for isnt that the same?
Please answer me to the best that you possibly can.
Why should not care to them when they are our species' brethren.

Were All Appreciated
What of my poems is your perception?
To all rules there must be an exception
Maybe some you like and also prefer
That over years can endure and endure.
Based on all of my great popularity
My poems may have much hilarity
Discovered disparity between the two
When read you're the only one who knew.
Do you think my poem may be deceiving?
Or much stress they could be receiving
It was finally found in a few literary annals
Performance was decided by some panels.
Maybe a poetic hallmark each poem may be
And was enjoyed by everyone at a jubilee
Understood how end and start were related
Now am happy that my poem was appreciated.

Every day,
I fight to be heard.
My thoughts and ideas,
Over shadowed by male pride.
My suggestions and solutions to problems get used,
But only, when they are repeated by a man.
It's as if I am that little voice in their head.
The one they ignore at first.
It is so easy for them to fill my plate,
Expecting the work to get done.
But not acknowledging the work I do.

There’s beauty in the ordinary things
like challenges and joys each season brings,
the world of work and school, and kids at play
between sunrise and sunset every day.
There’s awe-inspiring glory to behold
as tapestry of moon and stars is rolled
across the sky, to gazers’ pure delight
between sunset and sunrise every night.
There’s beauty at the core of humankind,
called love, engendering our need to bind
ourselves in strong relationships, to be
the instruments of peace and unity.
Let’s not be unaware that all around,
on any day, true beauty may be found.

Appreciated Words of God
I always had appreciated God's word,
As everyone of them often occurred;
My attention caught;
About them thought;
When heard my faith was reassured.

Limerick
My friend
Carla
was trying
to rescue me
from Tony
the tyranny
of his beastility
See:
Carla has ownership
of her own
battles to win
And I
wasn't ready
to let her
abrasions
suck me in
Although:
her heart is
in the
right place
and now
I appreciate
that kindness
comes in
all kinds
of formulas
that are
hard sometimes
to study
and comprehend
See:
She took
me in
when I was
worn thin
but I
wasn't ready
then to
let go of
the spinning
from Tony
He was
betting on
winning
So I
ran back
to the game
The habit
she was
trying to break
I took
one more beating
til I ended
the playing
See:
Carla thought
she failed
in trying to
lend a hand
but she didn't
Perplexed
for awhile
she growled
and never
smiled at me
Writing me off
as a cause
she had lost
But through
her willingness
to open
her heart
I found
the strength
To get
rid of Tony
and
I did it
for me
Because:
she saw that
I needed
a little
encouragement
and that
I could
feel worth it
In breaking
the cycle
that was
chaining me
See:
Carla is like
microdermabrasion
Scrubbing
the surface raw
to reveal
the beauty
underneath
the top layer
of skin
By telling
the truth
and not
leaving
you guessing
And I
have thanksgiving
in mending
our friendship
She led me
to Blessing
the puppy
that is
helping in
my healing
Thanks to
this friend
I'm on
the path
to being
whole again
and I'm
winning
because she
dealt me
a hand
that couldn't
be beaten

Caress my face,
You are my place,
To feel adored,
Sensations and perspirations,
Drive our souls near,
I would never tear,
While your time,
Shared mine,
I feel my spine,
Writhe against your fingertips,
I can surrender my hips,
To your touch,
I can savor,
The flavor of your kiss.

UNCLAIMED FREIGHT
I offered myself to you - Rejected many for you, made myself
Exclusively yours - You never understood that I was not here
To endure jealousy, hate or envy –
Only to serve you and teach you how to include instead of excluding...
You looked over and under but never really looked at me.
Patted my head most appeasingly.
I felt like the puppy with eyes waiting for that proverbial bone.
Then, when keener eyes saw what you never saw;
Benefited from my earthly presence;
Suddenly like a spoiled child who never
played with his wind-up toy;
Until someone else wound it up he,
Now wanted to claim that toy to be his favorite.
You should have examined me; and found my key…
loved me, and explore my inner workings up close,
Before it was too late to relate...
Another metaphor would be
They valued what you failed to see.
You were blind to see my worth…
You never claimed me for yourself.
Left me sitting on the warehouse shelf
You seemed surprised, they bided high
Because what’s yours is not yours
“If you don't claim it!”!
Unclaimed freight…
“goes to the highest bidder”.

just more than mere thank you:
an act so righteous,
honor with humility,
proud to be alive.
grateful to the sanity,
even for my life.
turn around and look;
like an open book,
you have to soak yourself with grace,
blessings to embrace,
just waiting for the right moment,
a place for you under the sun,
to give it all back with a smile.
to show there's something more out there for you!
to look forward to every event,
like it was meant for you.
just for you!
a hearty sweet feeling to know this;
peaceful content that i miss,
now is just a faint calling in distance.

My name is Tom Bear Bell. I was born in 1950 in a cold climate far up north. Of
mixed blood (half Eskimo/ half Polar Bear) ; I am proud to say I was the first of my
breed (Innuit Whos clothes don't fit); to enroll in N.A.S.A. (North Arctic Snow
Association). At a very early age I displayed a remarkable talent for ice-water
swimming and snow ball throwing. I'm a graduate of the C.C.C.P. Institute (Cold
Cold Clammy Polarbears). I currently live in Iceland, but to me, it seems a bit too
warm, so I might move back north. My hobbies include grabbing fish from open
ice holes, and sliding on my backside. I also enjoy panic attacks (you should
see their eyes when I attack!!), and being sutured. I'm well respected as a
talented master of the tarraddle (Yet another $10 word!!!) I'm 8 foot, nine inches
tall, (when I'm not too lazy to stand up.), with a white, somewhat hoary
complection. My religion is Histopathology, where I am considered an "elder".
My goal in life is to create the world's first wide bodied twelve blade disposable
razor. I was married once, but during an extended famine, I was forced to devour
my spouse. I have 3 Cubs, but they're currently in Chicago. My email address is;
Wasteland Ice Polar Trade Post- box 12, which is 6 miles north of thw north pole.
I hope to hear from you'se soon, however, no animal rug lovers please!!!.
