Best Amused Poems
I’m a secret watcher of Dr. Who, but now you know, and his tardis is bigger on the inside as the cult following knows. So much philosophy, such as we look much smaller on the outside. It is as if “The Doctor” lives inside his brain as do us poets always imagining something greater...something bigger. And yet we can also reduce something to its smallest component and expound it. We look at a seed, climb inside its shell and see the universe. We keep walking in and out of our world, amazed at its nonconformity to our idea of reality. We see a box, color it blue...just blue the teacher says as she points with a ruler and slams down hard on your knuckles. Persnickety self says “black and blue.” The teacher points “out” and you gladly climb back into your roomy cocoon. A butterfly emerges with Queen Alexandra wings that land on the teachers hair, taunting her, beating her at her game of “inside the lines.”

Oceans, woods, abused, confused!
Mother nature not amused!
Her bellies aching.
Mistakes we're making!
Time pollution was defused!
There is an old man of the ocean,
To marine life is his devotion.
We have to put right,
Marine waters plight.
Or suffer our own devolution!

Limerick
Our cards are on the table,
All my Aces are face down,
My Poker Face practised, perfect,
In for a penny or a pound?
Now the sweat beads at my temple,
I've misused my Aces High,
By sneaking one off the table,
And pressing it to my thigh.
I am not a cheat by nature,
I would win if I showed my hand,
But unveiling what's deliciously hidden,
Was always part of my plan.
You've got me where you want me,
I unbutton and strip without pause,
'A game well played' you whisper,
'I'll show you mine, since you showed me yours'

Grandmother Is Not Amused
By Elton Camp
Queen Elizabeth certainly isn't amused
That Prince Harry again stands accused
Although his latest is easier to understand
Than wearing a uniform with Nazi armband
But playing strip billiards isn't nearly as bad
As some of the things done by Harry's dad
Henry the Eighth showed the royals the way
They have followed his example to this day
If the worst he does is all his clothes to doff,
It's likely the public will just laugh it off
But the next time Harry decides to strip
He'll check if a camera his pals did slip

A Poet is Amused
Now when we say good bye give me
a promise with your hands and lips
no, I didn`t mean an apple.
Object
Plutocrat
Advocate
That has nothing to do with grammar.
Who said it did?
The first time I saw naked woman was a September night
she stood by the fire cleaning her private part
soapy pubic hairs
overcome by desire, I ejaculated fell to the ground
in someone else’s garden.
Poets are like whores sell romantic poems and show
their filthy souls to anyone in need of a dream.
He goes to the nearest tavern and has a dram
and doesn’t let grammar get into it only wishes to live
in a society that ban full stop and comma.

SOFTLY THE VOICE COMES FROM WITHIN
SPEAKING THROUGH ME TO MY PEN
ONTO THIS PAPER LAID DOWN BEFORE ME
THE WORDS COME FASTER, MORE READILY
AS I GET INTO THE RHYTHM AND RHYME
I OFTEN WISH I HAD THIS EASY A TIME
SPEAKING
SOME PEOPLE HAVE A WAY WITH WORDS,IT SEEMS
I ONLY SPEAK FREELY AND ELEQUENTLY IN DREAMS
IN A GROUP MY VOICE OFTEN STUMBLES AND FALLS
WHAT WAS MEANINGFUL A MOMENT AGO SHUDDERS AND STALLS
TRY STILL I DO, AND AGAIN TO EXPRESS
THOUGH SELDOM DO MY WORDS SATISFY ME, I CONFESS
SPEAKING
THAT MUST BE WHY PUBLIC FIGURES WRITE SPEACHES
THE RIGHT WORDS ELUDE EVEN THE LONGEST REACHES
SO I FEEL THE POINT IS HEREBY MADE
I WILL STOP BEFORE MY VOICE STARTS TO FADE
AND I MUST SIT HERE AND LISTEN TO LAUGHTER
THIS IS WHY I WANT A CIGERETTE SO SOON AFTER
SPEAKING
none of this is nesessarily true, i claim poetic liscence, and am a creative writer, so if you

I lost;
The strength my words willed,
The musings my words instilled,
When you bowed out;
The publicized emotion my face bore for you,
Swimming the skies we spoke of, so blue,
Rhythm and notes were never effortless,
Sensing the bass like your fingertips’ caress,
Your charisma can draw,
Me beside,
The treble feels raw,
And I abide,
With depths not yet reached,
Inner layers not yet breached,
Trying every way to pour out,
Though it seems time to sort out,
Every newly charted position,
Every unsavory gut suspicion,
I need to padlock my heart,
It’s been a smooth re-start,
Of emotions once built-
Emotions once burnt-
Embers and ashes mark the way,
I’ll cement my lips,
So I can’t ask you to stay,
I’ll hide my hips,
To keep sinful thoughts at bay,
I want you reaching far beyond the body,
Far beyond the rustle of those muscles,
Far beyond the pupils I disappear in,
I want the essence,
The presence,
You project,
I may object,
When I analyze,
I must be wise,
And go with the merciless beating,
That is the heart I need to capture,
The pure feeling of mutual rapture;
I need your love.

My Muse Was Not Amused
ME: "Muse, I cannot write those words!
What thoughts would he think of me?"
MUSE: "Child, you must not be absurd.
Allow my spirit to set you free."
ME: "But what if he doesn't understand?
I fear to write what I dread to say."
MUSE: "Trust and let him take your hand.
He'll not lead your heart astray."
ME: "What if he's turned away, and it's too late?
Perhaps he gave up and has found another."
MUSE: "What ifs and perhaps? Open your garden gate.
Lie in the arms of one who wants to be your lover."
ME: "Thank you, Mother Muse, for your gentle thought."
MUSE: "Keep them folded, daughter, always in your heart."

You Amused me with your insults
But you are no where near been like Donald Trump.
A rich man who is now president.
Well put together but he insult no one.
But only speak from what he see but not about people.
Nor insult thinking that he's better than any one.
So please stop using me and my son to feel good about yourself. For I said it before. It's a pathetic childish game.
That you should know better. But embarrassing yourself.
I may grow up different from you but, I can't predict the future. But from the way I see it yours is not very promessing as well.

Lyric
Waking, realizing dawn was past
Hearing a background noise
Some what like a wet tin whistle
Child blown in a futile attempt at a note
“What kind of bird is that?”
“A red winged blackbird”
She rose and left me lying abed
Wondering what else she lived
That I missed so easily so busily
So lazily dependent on her living
So easily a part of it
As she is so much of mine
The smell of grinding coffee
Led me down the stairs
Some where there’s a poem
To pen on this awakening
To mild frustrated fear
What powers of observation am I
Losing to disuse
Habits help to pass the time before
The coffee kicks life up a bit
Amusing to the muse

I’m amused
I have with me
a trophy
a red ripe tomato
a beautiful flower
a sharp thorn
a pendulum
a tick tock clock
a ping pong ball
a double-edged pin
my lost rib

Amused owl was enjoying his day in the best of circumstances.
He had memorized some chants, some clogging and dances.
His attitude and humor was on fire, he was doing lively prances.
Some sourpusses were giving him disdaining eye glances.

Supposed To Be Amused
With your joke were supposed to be amused;
Instead what happened we became confused;
What about;
Had doubt;
It must have been mishandled and misused.
And amen should have been added at end of
sermon so we knew it was over.

O~ what dread
My muse in bed
Dear me~ that's ink she's bled
Tried sopping it with bread
Her boots been filled with lead
I think she's good as dead
O~ good grief she said
Shaking her head
You've been misled
You plain misread
She left her body there and fled
