A STORMY DAY IN THE SOUTHERN ALPS

An environmentalist in love with his endowment, cast an eye upon the defender
of nature’s delicate balance, she the soul queen of conservation, together the two assimilate like the prevailing hurricane lock horns as the beast would in battle.The vibration rattles the old tin roof of our cabin, while the black possums scarper

clouds ejaculate
far below blank out the sun
Aoraki                     smiles

The tempest cuts through the backwoods far beyond the horizon, deep
in camouflage torments the deanery of elementary life forms. Flashes
of lightning waver through the gloom become centre stage, thunder
rumbles on, a drum roll an intro to a symphony of hail harmoniously
pounding the diverse depth of the valley

drowning in colour
the forest canopy yields
Kakapo            declines

my eyes gazed

over the doting sun

while i focused on

the tall pines that

lined the darkened forest

i'd remember laughter

a quiet timing of tranquil

thoughts nestled so

beneath me i suppose

the snow capped mountains

craves my warmth as i

craved the divine beacon razs

gently time calmly left me behind

Mountains of my life
                 never forgotten.
              Rivers of my veins
    flowing through my memories.
             Green Swiss valleys,
                far from my sight,
     but always close to my heart.
        My Alps where I was born,
          bring to me the fresh air
                 to breath again.
    I remember those summer days,
                    with my feet
           into the shore waters
                of the Rhine river,
           or the long walks across
         the charming countryside.
            Oh, bohemian Basel...!
                   my birthplace.
         Oh, my lovely Switzerland...!
     you will always be my first steps,
           my unforgettable dream,
           a treasure in my mind...!

Stalwart Alps beauty sees
Wild crocus blooms at your feet
White around your crown

Daffodils blowing in wind
Sun shines brightly once again

Glorious vibrant
Hues, reflect the rays, much joy
Eyes take and treasure

Daffodils shout a
Welcome to spring, trumpeting
To Narcissus' song

Cool breeze blow against the blooms
Welcome colors fragrant joy

Incense hung in the evening air
like the mist and the chains of prayer cranes.
Ferocious gilded guardian framed the gate
through the aged arched travelers trooped
Pilgrims all.

Monks diminutive in form,
draped in square clothes
of sacred orange, bow.
Prayer hands copped over beating hearts.
Business begins.
The business of lodging and lodgers.

The entrance holds the footwear of the prayerful;
worn, unkempt, yet colorful.
Inside the shrine futons fly to ta tami floors.
Teapots boil whistling in the mist soaked wind.
Coins clink into altar boxes before smiling Buddha’s.
Courtyards filled with fall blossoms of crimson mums.
Persimmon colored koi swim in small prayer ponds.
The bustle of the small alpine city does not intrude,
nor follow the faithful as into the moss covered
cemetery with its red cedar groves;
they walk.

Alps

A billowing cloud descends effortlessly from great heights
Languishing momentarily near ominous
Peaks, quietly resting,
Surrounding tree-lined unspoiled vistas, while exploiting yon zenith

cow bells ring
through verdant hills
rolling up to cuddle
towering gray cliffs
spraying white foam
intoxicating Alps
where Frankenstein
concocted Elixir Vitae
and birthed a monster
rich red wine
and a pot of fondue
on a cafe terrace
jagged tip
of the top of Europe peeking
through the fluff hugging
its head and shoulders
stunning monster
the Alps

The Alps At Night

the ribs of falling night
cold flints of a dark path
            a dark curtain
            creating two rooms

nameless stumps of teeth
melted to the white rock jaw
            heavy as the light is frail

the way a black swan`s neck
            tubular and serrated;
            the pines guard the frost

the tree line has swallowed the sun
            a dead story under the forest floor
            pushes me along

all light has fled the sky,
apart from the points of dropping stars,
and the distant road into the far.

Army of Napoleon Bonaparte,
Was so rhythmically marching,
Gliding across all rough paths
Like condors to conquer the Alps;
A woman aged in experience,
Warns him consequences dire;
For never ever in her lifetime,
Had she seen anyone coming back;
He, overwhelmed by love for her,
Gifts her diamonds vastly valued;
Tells her to spread the great story
Of Napoleon daring to come back;
The army in reluctance rebels,
To move ahead to such hazard;
Telling them it’s a matter trivial,
He enkindles their spirits to soar;
Indeed, they had seen a hill,
And enquired their master about it;
‘Alps Mountain is great’, he said,
Lo, this resembles nothing of it;
They climbed it so simple and easy,
And expected another expedition tough;
Reaching the plains he smilingly said,
The Alps has already been conquered;
Relentless was Napoleon’s ways,
Victory-oriented his daring deeds;
His faith mingled with intelligence,
Charisma combined with confidence;
Motivation merged with military trust,
Handled rarest of rare predicaments…

Alps

Abode of the avatars and the demigods,
I am ageless, calm and deep rooted
Indulged in the timeless meditations, I find vigor in serenity
Covered in the blanket of loam, rocks and snow
countess trees of life are sheltered on my back
The sun, the stars, the wind and the skies are all my allies
O mortal, I am just not conquerable

Hereabout the Alps

Masterful!

   lordly framed
    picturesque rain stain
   ing icy cap summit’s height,

vaulting off grassy green
 pediplain’s sloping foothills,
impinging azure sky’s obscur
 ing clouds.

   blazing sunbeam painted
    freshet rush to where river-rocks
   are the fairest.

rosy-finch, gray-crowned,
 bathe cross-winds breeze clink
ing conifers lazing at the frost rich shore,
 river flow, embolden splendor.

   the poetics surrendered?
    ingest’d without disturbance,— by us,
   graylings are of abound... thus!

Naked majesty of Alps,
looking down serene slopes,
greenery all around me,
colourful flowers in spree,
silence is what nature speaks,
except for rustle of leaves,
my heartbeat is all there is,
surrounded by eternal bliss!
The hustle of life beyond,
Looks deceptively grand!
The din of distant lights,
Promising false delights,
luxury of city living,
demanding, unforgiving.
My mind would like to rest here,
in Alp’s spiritual sphere,
What a mess we make of life,
Building such a human hive!

The Alps

I walked outside in the scorching heat moving papers and turning over pages just looking for that one line that goes back to the middle ages. The search was long, the documents were strong and the paragraph sits at the bottom with the exact words about the controversial land. Moses was deceased, Joshua was bequeathed and mimiram joined the crew when her leprosy
came through.

I traveled to Vatican City to view the writing form the thirteenth century there were piles and piles of them standing in a row but I had nowhere to go and I could not move any of them.

I had to view them with a magnifying glass or the whole thing would have fallen apart .I walked along the Vatican city underground and there were museums all around with documents that goes back to the creation of the earth but they were all sealed up in dirt.

Something caught my eyes from the back and I continue to move my eyeball over the lines to see what historical data I could find. I just wanted to fit the pieces together until I could uncover the secrecy, and just when I thought my long search was done a cockroach crawl up from the corner and there it was staring at me, the very line that illustrate my dignity. A thousand cameras pointed at me from every angle, I could not touch or move a thing until the vessel I had memorized the plaintiff hymn.

The Priest kept juggling on the floor and the Roman soldiers keep asking for more, the theater was where it all began with a harp a violin and a harmonica riding on the gondola and singing a song. They were all playing for me as the discovery breaks the bonds of history to uncover an age-old mystery, the authentic crowd docked on the other side while I continue to hold up my pride and the gondola drift.

I try to fit the piece together so I went on a hurricane ride and landed in Peru and made my way to the city of Cuzco to connect the dots and explore the salt mine of maras and when I got what I wanted I made my way to France and visit the Mount Blanc and made a bond with Eifel tower. When the research was over, I clocked in nine hundred million dollars for a Zig Zag line and a marking on a cave that was divine.

And so the evidence was right in front of me to prove the murder in the first degree and a global fraud in the second degree. You must make haste and come and see me.

Premium Member the alps called my name

the mountains call my name
I hear, but am fearful about responding
they come to me in dreams
demanding to be heard

I keep dreaming of them, I complain
you are meant to go, they want you.
is this possible? I turn in for another restless night
the alps are demanding.

I must have lived there in another lifetime.
I always had an affinity for the book Heidi.
Knowing I have to go, I booked the trip.
It was an experience of a lifetime.

I felt like I was finally home.
I have been back six times since.
Cannot get enough of them.
They make me feel beloved.
