Of jaded muses and digital distractions - POTW

The allure of mused poems,
No longer visits this nonchalant psyche.
It trickles now, once a roaring torrent
Now a lazy stream

Am like a desultory jaded heaven
Where starry jewels once decked the night,
But are now drossy shadowy blackholes,
And sparks and dreams,
Are ripped in the accretion disc.

No longer avid, but seeking meaning in the mundane.
No longer enraptured by the she said, he said,
And all that jazz, no iota of care; for trifling muses,
Their short goodbyes or critique, no not one,
Their infighting and bad blood, no longer,
No nuts to crack, nor rain to flush, no iota of care.

It was never about who is better,
Neither has it been nor will it ever be,
About any Magnum Opus.

Like doors closing and skies descending,
Each visiting muse devoid of ardor,
Oblivious to the yawning dawn,
Or the scent of sprouting posies.
Jaded, without allure or sheen
And devoid of all its lustre.

Maybe one day soon a spark will reignite
And reanimate this frenetic mused madness
But until then...

I remain adrift in this sea of trivialities,
Worrying about trifling stuff
Like ad blockers and AI opinions
And irked...

By their emasculating knowledge

I'm just a little particle created so long ago
I swirled with many of me to help your Solar System grow

For many years I spun I thought in never ending spin
From that marvel the nebula your Solar System begins

For those who are not very sure a supernova could have set the reaction
A core attracted me in then collapsing in a fatal attraction

The speed of which this happens picture a skaters arms by their side
Rotational forces so massive spinning in ever glide

This causes the cloud to flatten as me the dust is being drawn in
Around a dense core it travels a star is pulled in to begin

The more mass that is accumulated towards the centre of the disc
Enough energy is now created nuclear reactions react so brisk

In basic simple terms Hydrogen atoms in Helium fuse
Releasing enormous amounts of energy your Solar System sings the blues

The outcome of one of these bursts was the forming of your sun
Granted, it took another ten million years but what you know now has now begun

The next step in the journey of this incredible science feat
Is the formation of the planets that you humans will eventually seek

Eventually us dusts we stuck together to form the many of many rocks
This process is known as accretion created by the science clock

Forming in the flat plane over millions and billions of years
Electrostatic forces allured creating your Solar System spheres

I swirled with many of me to help your Solar System grow

Neutron binary star collision

Drifting in the ether, most of my adult life
             Drawn toward a magnetar, she's a prototype
Exotic matter unimaginable, powerless to repress
Mercurial wondrous, one time star has turned goddess

Imploded onto my scene, light weeks ago
Contains only neutrons, emits an ovulating glow
Trapped in her energy, I've become a willing feeder
Stripping off my outer layers, every orbit I come nearer

Accretion disc envelopes me, she siphons off my matter
Relentlessly devouring, inexorably I'm growing flatter
An inverted death embrace, drains the life from me
Oozing radioactive plasma, overcome by gravity

Nothing left to give our marriage, togetherness remain
Resting on her surface, satisfying each others pain
Pulsating forever, orgasming every few seconds
Lovers radiate jets, ejaculation going errant

Spring Impressions

He realized shortly after seating himself
atop of a massive stone on the park's knoll,
gazing out over the lush spring-green prairie
sewn together by a clear, rippling brook,.
that sky reflections on those softly-rippling
waters were countless murals drawn,
washed clean, and painted anew on
the canvas of life in the blinking of his eye.

Sun's accretion warmed the back of his neck,
now more intense, risen past the vernal equinox.
Breezes buffeted fresh green grasses in the park.
Thermals carried gulls, geese, and migrating
pelicans on their journey to marshes and
lowlands in Canada. When last he sat on
the great stone the fall elements were stern, cold,
and annealed; anticipating a harsh plains winter.

Loping from south to north along the brook,
a wily fox worked his way toward a wide slough
and marshland near his view from the rock.
The fox's head swept side to side in instincts
perpetual sweep. From the stone he saw himself
an interloper, a fortunate meddler in the affairs
of nature; a nature whose portraits were always
vivid and vibrant; endlessly unique and pure.

Judged

Somewhere in the distant rays of light
There seems to be clouds gathering
In ways that utters the daring one
So he walks in the soft brushing grass
That is still moist from the morning dew
So many hours have passed still that feeling is true
Maybe because the sun's presence could only be felt far
The heat parades in the rear of the door
Whose spine is spiraling ideas
Of possibilities, of clues, of unknowns
She feels the energy pulling her
Elegant and her long hair styled back
She continues her walk of dreaming large
Following the shadows of tomorrow
Braving in the eyes of today
The hiding keyhole accumulates dust
Surreal like the clouds, a light accretion
One overcast, one a questionable hole
She feels, he feels the seen
The mind an unseen scene
The mind plays the blank belief

Accretion

morning brought an arcane song to my ears
i was observing the spilling of light
between the curtain and the wall
the way the light seemed to carry the dust
when my quite moment
was dispatched
by the sensation of the earth and
its 30 km/ps rate of motion

by comparison
i wasn't even a mite
on an elephants eyelash
i was a microbe
riding on a rock
on a massive migration through space

my body became filled with avidity-
something was about to happen
the dam was made of mud
and it was monsoon season

looking into the hallway mirror
i was astonished to see the image inside
was not me
this was some type of apparition
a ghost
that belonged to someone else

the electrons in my brain swirled
forming the loose pattern of wafting smoke
an electrified current

all of this energy
shot past the sleeping dogs
though the house
pierced the atmosphere
then outward into the deep vastness of the heavens

a remarkable paroxysm and
i was back with myself
yet
i felt subtly metamorphosed

looking around,
all of the stuff
i had worked so diligently
to acquire
took on a look of being frivolous
unnecessary

it was all the programming of someone else
the whims of a schizophrenic
with vainglorious proclivities

a booming voice announces:

if you do not abide to the constructs
of this lovely societal aggregation
you are an outcast
a luddite
a nihilist
a lost soul
a demagogue
a loser
a shoe shiner
a sewage swiller
weak,
pathetic,
unable to assimilate
due to anachronistic tendencies
...

we have viewed into the aperture
that gives a glimpse
of both dissonnant living and
ways to slough off the insanity
but
we are controlled by dna's unblinking eyes
we make love and war simultaneously
we are the amalgamation of genes we conspire against

dna spirals up my spine
then feathers across my neurons
entrenching its fingers into my convolutions

i am the product of a mad scientist
who has designed me with used atoms
from distant, dead stars
i breathe oxygen
that have been around since the birth
of the universe

yet,
despite it all,
these animated atomic miracles
have fought to keep us all held together
so that we may witness the splendor
of being alive

the morning song wasn't so veiled after all

Premium Member Black Hole

Before the origin of the time-space region
God particles contained in the singularity
defined the core of the nascent creation
in timeless realms of nothingness nonentity.

Cosmogony unveils mystery of cosmic architecture
Big Bang in the singularity created the universe.
History of time going back circa 13 billion years
records how light and matter formed stellar mass.

Super-stars brighter than thousand suns of ours
in the limitless galaxies of the expanding universe,
at the end of their life time they all collapse,
black holes originate with high gravity mass.

Whatever falls in the hole on the event horizon
Can’t come out and escape, not even light.
Black hole becomes bigger by stellar accretion,
gravity waves travel from merged mass out of sight.

Time would run slow or even stop at event horizon
for in the black hole gravity dilates time by force.
All cosmic information would be lost or forgotten
in singularity core, replica of pre-universe cosmos.

If God, the creator, is the singularity invisible
everything created has the God particle within.
At the end of the life time the soul invincible
gravitates in the black hole, resides there unseen.

Me the Proto Star

Clouds of gas and cosmic dust moving fast
with galaxy throw out accumulate forming nebulae.
One nebula is my birth place.
Gradual accretion of interstellar materials create turbulence
initiating knots of stuff to collapse
on own gravitational attraction forming my fetus.

Photons are squeezed under pressure undergoing fusion.
As temperature rose to Ten Million Kelvin,
Me the nascent descent Proto star is born.

Now I am just new-born, a toddler you can call,
Sun is my older sibling just an ordinary Star,
five hundred billion years older than me.

Millions of Galaxies, billions of huge massive stars
all fiery burning balls rushing with tremendous velocities
    in infinite Universe.
Me a trivial luminous cosmic object seems an infinitesimal.

Poor Mankind sees stars like static polka dots
     twinkling, sparkling, glistening, shimmering, shining.
Scientists trying to explore the mystery of Universe.
Poets being charmed on beauty of tapestry of starry sky
are soaring high on dreams creating Verse.

Wracked With Ratiocination When Writing

no shortage of familiar metier real
     (material) aye attest
welling up within thy breast
merely a predicament how to winnow

     junk bonded barnacled

     amidst gems buried
     within treasure chest,

yet vigilant to sift,
     viz figurative fine tooth comb
     uprooting excrescence laired plethora

Imaginations Distance

by Michaelw1two

Inspired by Lucia Szigeti

 Thought, an idea distant,
 across voids of words in rhyme;
 comprehension is equivalent,
 to accretion in cosmic time;
 feelings seed mind comparative,
 in singular beings prime;
 Terra incognita, they thrive
 in fields of blooming thyme.

 Rhythm in emotions,
 disperse life's wisp across the wind;
 journey in wandering slip,
 carry word that beckons minds;
 entice a yearn for form,
 complexity in simplicity finds;
 living's bridge spans life's thoughts,
 this each Fate reminds.

Cusp in stars as motions cease,
 éclat opens eyes once blind;
gether, vast of scope and scale,
 redolent space entwined;
 awakened in darkness,
 visage helical, its acuity-refined;
 life's poignancy poorly draped,
 to it, we are consigned.

 Imagination spills spirit,
 on path through life's divide;
 touched on by concomitant truths,
 soul cannot be denied;
 Lethe's myth veridical,
 at heaven's gate, a thought beside;
 troth spoke in verse,
 reason minds, and reality collide.

 Vision magnifies in belief,
 words bring depth to thought;
 show meanings in the deep,
 cast dim, to speculation taught;
 picture far distances in mind,
 accept your view as bought;
 think across eternity,
 see words, as imagination wrought.

A Dark House

The accretion of a perfect squall
when claws were out-

scavenging novelties. A lewd
paranoia slains a farewell

in a trench. The chamber has
vomited a mound of gold blinding a shell.

The combs did not straighten
the puff. The old man was very lonely.

I would stop hunting the stings
of a bare-chested moon.

I recuse myself from judging the paperboat
which wanted to cross the ocean.

One Nation

Through my inspection of the current events,
I make the assumption the world’s gone awry.
If we had the gumption to all live in tents,
Ration our possessions, the world wouldn’t die.

Through my assertions, I urge you to share.
Prohibitions are needed for many the crowd.
Love forms through accretion of natural care.
My intentions are pure that I speak out loud.

My notion this evening, is to make you all ponder.
No instigation, am I trying, nor willing to do.
My infatuation with trying, is so you don’t wander
From the one nation under God, bestowed unto you.
