I Miss You So...
There are those days
when I don't want to get out of bed,
Having just the memories,
of life we once enjoyed,
dance around in my head.
Oh mom, dad, I miss you so,
And although it been years,
the pain won't go.
I think about the great times we shared.
I think how you loved and guided me,
when no one else cared.
I think about all the time, and energy,
That it took, for you,
to let me, be me.
I would not be this woman
who stands so strong,
Had you not taught me,
right from wrong.
Had your hands not guided me,
I swear, I don't know, where I'd be.
Your wise words word not spoken in vain,
For when I speak with my daughter,
My words are the same.
I thank you, for all the love
you gave to me,
How much you loved me...
I now, can see.
Not a day goes by, That you,
don't cross my mind,
Good parents like you two,
Are hard to find!
Mom and Dad, I miss you so,
But God called your names
and you had to go!
Why he picked those dates,
I do not know.
But, I understand,
because Earth treasures,
fail in comparison...
to God's promised land!

Whispers of light so big and so bright
Do my eyes deceive me or could I see the sun at night
Illumination of stars flickering all around
Whispers and noises that become a familiar sound
I am taken in by the shadows that stand before me
Knowing what I see but still questioning could this really be
The casting and likeness of someone that I've seen before
Humming a tune of which I used to adore.
You came back to see me to show that you're ok
and help turn a dark night into a brighter day.

You look up to the sky and it is no surprise
the beauty that you see is an Angel in your eyes
It never fails that when you're down and feeling kinda blue
The Angel in your eyes is sitting watching over you.
In all the hustle and bustle of your day, and oh how time flies
But in the midst of it all there sits that Angel in your eyes
Just staying close to guide you along a dusty road
and there to help you carry some of lifes heavy load
You thank the Lord above, each day that you arise
yet are so unaware that there's an Angel in your eyes.

Today reality has changed color
bursting with possibilities
in endless streams of wonder.
I open my heart
accepting each new dream
in wonderous anticipation.
Sadness has lifted
on an angel's wing.
Leaving strength and promise
to set my spirit free.

it's silent footsteps blending
with subconscious minds.
Brightness beginning to show itself
placing warm caresses
on meadows, trees, and streams.
Dripping from leaves and blossoms
the night mist gives in to day.

She told me you were gone
Gone, Gone where
She said you had passed
Oh bright sunny, woman
Full of energy,
Flaxen golden air
Great beauty of european flair
How could you not be here
We three girls had lots of fun
tears and fears
Oh could you not want to stay
Life can be painful and dark
I do not know what took place
Your reality must have been black
and stark
I can put myself in your space
Such a shock to hear you left
such a tragic way to go
I will remember a girl, bright, flaxen hair
with such joy
