How could such a man with diminutive stance,
be the leader of all the armies of France?
A little dictator ruling with a strong arm,
he will be exiled to where he can do no harm.
This leader is considered impetuous and frantic.
He plunged the continent into war like a maniac.
His forces were constantly on the attack.
He is bound for St. Helena in the South Atlantic.
Once overbearing with loquacious vehemence,
this Corsican is now our prisoner with reticence.
Talking to nobody while preferring isolation,
his impulsive military actions ruined his nation.
Although it was for only about a hundred days,
how he regained power was something to amaze.
I have been given orders while anchored out here.
No boats with curiosity seekers shall come near.
He has been handed over to us for his arduous journey.
The HMS Bellerophon is considered unseaworthy.
I have received word that he is now in our hand.
We shall set sail for the south on the Northumberland.

The locals’ boats all gathered round;
Napoleon was in The Sound
On board Bellerophon.
Two guardships kept the crowds at bay;
The Emperor was on his way
To exile, freedom gone.

Mighty winged horse-god, in the night sky,
Made a constellation, so you never would die;
Born from the droplets, of Medusa’s blood,
Springing forth from evil, a magnificent stud;
Captured and tamed, by Bellerophon’s restraints,
Athena’s Golden Bridle, with golden chains;
Together you slay, the Chimera beast,
But never again, would you be released;
Bellerophon sought to fly, to join the God’s in the sky,
And you promptly threw him, without questioning why;
And now you remain up, in the sky at night,
Where you belong shining, so elegant and bright!

There once was a horse of heavenly descent
Born of a gorgon, his father, a god
Only a hero would be destined to catch him
Bellerophon was the one that destiny chose
One day a golden bridle he was given
To catch this mysterious creature
For a few moments he was hero and master
But an angry Zeus ended his glory
This horse was like no other mortal beast
His wings thrust him into the sky
Elusive and mysterious he shall remain
He is now a dazzling constellation

Sprouting full-formed
From the crimson life blood
Of a snake eyed medusa,
That succulent seducer,
The white horse shook his
Glittering diamond wings and
Wild mane that sung
Of untamed adventures and
Lost prophecies
Reigning the skies with
Giddy joy and bliss,
He came to land,
Enticed by a golden bridle
Wielded by a princely hero
Bellerophon
Singing his praise and
Carrying him through the
Winding canyons and
Glacial seas
That were the home of
The fire-breathing chimera,
The epitome of chaos rising
Carrying his rider to a
Flawless victory and above
And beyond to a
High flying adventure,
The hero rode his
Glittering white horse
To the high mountain,
A godly matter at hand
The skies opened and Zeus
Hurled his thunder,
Tossing the princely hero
To the still ground,
Forcing him to
Roam the earth,
A melancholy wanderer,
While his white steed
Ascended to the heavens
