Pegasus!
Mighty winged horse-god, in the night sky,
Made a constellation, so you never would die;
Born from the droplets, of Medusa’s blood,
Springing forth from evil, a magnificent stud;
Captured and tamed, by Bellerophon’s restraints,
Athena’s Golden Bridle, with golden chains;
Together you slay, the Chimera beast,
But never again, would you be released;
Bellerophon sought to fly, to join the God’s in the sky,
And you promptly threw him, without questioning why;
And now you remain up, in the sky at night,
Where you belong shining, so elegant and bright!
