Santa told Rudolph to stay on the roof
He’d be delayed for his wife wanted proof
That it’s just she for he
So they’re under the tree
She saw his old baubles and cried, “Forsooth.”
Frosty was sat in the garden below
Rudolph called down, Make some balls out of snow
Then give them to elf
Or take them yourself
Be sure to avoid the log burner’s glow
Santa Claus stood; in his hands… Frosty’s balls
Poor Frosty dripped like Victoria Falls
His log burner muddle
Made Frosty a puddle
Santa said, Now I’ll be late… nature calls

Born in the heart of the insecure
of him who finds in baubles allure
A grave affliction, difficult to cure
Consumed by Jealousy, one must abjure

Crystalline baubles
tumbling down from winter clouds
tossed by unseen hands.
Precipitation?
No, more magical than that;
perhaps Gods game dice?
No, they’re white diamonds
refracting rays of sunlight
translucent snowflakes.

Lighthouses are said to be adventurous when going out for a party. They leap, spin and are generally wild upon the dance floors. But a large bank building with over fifteen floors is gifted at ballet and a ballet is not a bullfrog belching, a brilliant blooming blossom, nor is it a birthday balloon. It is to be said that on arriving in the kitchen one must wear several silver baubles on one's head then wobble around and around making sure that the noise is sufficient to drown out the washing machine, snoring pig, taps, and the cooker. How absolutely marvellous that is then. Exquisitely enquiring each earthly evidential éclair. But eating of currant buns should nit take place after midnight for the eyes of currants are quite charismatic and can chant charms to overloaded tins of fruit mix. Haha the wide angled view of a perimeter is laughing at the central observational otters. And the crested glass is linking arms with a baking tray dressed in a tiara and floaty skirt. Skim then. Xxxxx totalitarianism z z z z z at four biscuits past eighteen seagulls in a kitchen cupboard.

We are those pretty baubles:
the most delicate ornaments
that folks hang on a big or small Christmas Tree!
Kids pull us down and that's naughty;
they make us roll down the carpet...
until they smash us with their toes!
What have we done to deserve this awful fate?
We hope that this season won't bring us any woes!
Handle us with care, we are too fragile...
a gleeful Christmas we offer with our beauty;
our colors remind of green hammocks, red and white roses;
yellow daffodils waving in spring fields that make poets smile!
We wish not to be taken down: our image is never dreary;
be kind to us, we'll give off gleams that the winter's moon loves!
Pretty baubles never get fluffy snowflakes,
or get blown away by a wind that steadily drifts;
they continue to awe all with their loveliness...
come closer and make your lovely wishes!

Shining Baubles
Beg glowing words from my mystic muse
shining baubles to play and misuse
A soft sad story to thrilling tell
Beautiful word sounds to ring a bell
Love, moon and poetry does not fail

Baubles and tinsel, twinkling lights on the tree
Snow falling gently its Christmas yippee!
I feel so excited I'm jumping with joy
I shout out to mummy
Santa's left me a toy.

Irridescent blue butterfly
Amber stones polished like jewels
Beautiful trinkets, baubles
Preserved history clear to see
Unearth the mystery past lives
Speculate, theorize, think
Hypothesis science
Has some errors, oh no!
Bomb shell of science, brainiac
Giant insects ready to prey
Eddy release the brain waves
Thoughts seize and become ideas
Theory to be tried, tested
Calculated, repeated
Advanced to proven facts
Write poetic facts, forms
Dead head cockroach canable
Madagascar hissing roach
Freaks of nature sure to fright
Explore your science museum
Facts finding days surely pleasing
Intrigue, educate, stimulate
Young minds need science facts
Fun observatory!

You Quiz-puzzlers out there,
I hope you take care,
And don't sucumb to high blood pressure,
Please don't implode like the good sub, U.S.S. Thresher,
So take it in stride,
With the answers I do hide,
And you'll wake up all that much fresher

Lying beneath cool morning shade
I ponder what is heaven made.
Gazing at the azure sky
while tufted clouds wander by
A silent hawk circles above
probing for a gray mourning dove
Tiny redpolls chirp and chatter
As they gather nesting matter.
On the lawn gray rabbit rests
just another of my guests
High upon the stucco wall
the watchful quail sound roll call
Sweet acacia blooms bright yellow
with a scent so gently mellow
Nature serves her bountiful feast
leaving me sated, to say the least.
