Tangled Lines

TANGLED LINE

The Osprey returns, from the horizon
five people, strangers in the sun;
Casting to catch, beach ghosts and hidden fish;
Pipette with Ayesha each day dip, shoreline pools!
Joe and jess hear voices on the wall
New York – 2,970 miles for Rosa !

Because You'Re You

BECAUSE YOU'RE YOU

Shadows do surround you..
you see yourself not through my eyes..
but through the ones of those who've hurt you..
with their betrayal, hatred, lies..
You see not your real beauty..
you do not see your soul..
you see not your compassion..
or your heart that makes you whole..
You do not see the golden aura..
that bathes you in everlasting light..
you only see the darkness of your nightmares..
that trap and bind you tight..
You see yourself not through my eyes..
you do not understand that no matter whether light or darkness radiates from you..
the reason that I love you.. IS because you're you...

Born In Bombay

Before you were real, you were a dream.
Before you were a dream, you were an actress, born in Bombay.
Her’s is Ayesha; yours is Ali, and she told me you were coming, years before you came, and she placed you inside of my heart.
You’ve since become a keloid on my soul.

Her Name Was Rain

Rain, if you were warm I would dance in you,
I would be like the breeze and whip around you
Rain, since you are cold I'll stay away from you
Its such a bummer cause I want to play with you.

Thoughts of running through the rain with you
Makes my heart go insane for you
I'll hold your hand and slow dance with you
Alone in the grassy meadow just me and you

What would I give to beat along with you
Dripping on the tin shed of the roof with you
Making sweet music on the wind chimes with you
Wet and soft on a blanket in the fields with you

Rain, I'd spend the entire night with you
Enjoying the touch and feel of you
No looking back when I'm with you
Rain oh how I would love to dance in you

Rain how intense is that storm the comes with you
The thunder and lightening that stays with you
Its okay because I still want to change with you
Rain oh how I want to become one with you.

This poem is not so good. It is like a dramatic monologue. Be more poetic this is supposed to be a poem. Yikes!

Writing the Poem

Writing the Poem
by Ayesha Karim

I am alive.

I am breathing.

I thank God that I have the sweetest Life.

Blackberries surround me.

I talk on my new Blackberry mobile phone.

I call. I text friends and family.

I seek clarity.

I discover clairvoyance that began as Insight.

Blessings

Blessings

		By Ayesha Karim

God has blessed me with so much.
A mother who is there for me,
A grandmother and a close knit family who love me,
Friends who I’ve shared my sorrows, successes and trials with;
Friends I can call on the phone go to the mall or catch a movie with. A cute guy named Mike who I am dating the first guy that treats me really good that I’ve been on official dates with.
Mike always pays on our dates.
I have been blessed to have my education especially beyond high school because of my Madness(mental illness) since I was fourteen.
I have an Associate’s degree and next May I will graduate from college with my Bachelor’s degree.
I count my blessings as the expression goes “(Count your blessings)”.
I the Poetess Ayesha Karim will become a known Poet and a children’s book author.

Picture Frames

Picture Frames a poem

Children in families,
Grandmothers, mothers, fathers and grandchildren alike.

Memories, keepsakes found in pictures in Picture Frames.

Look at our Esha(Ayesha) she was 8 in this picture and here she is 10 years old in this other framed picture and;
She was 26 years of age in her most recent important picture taken at her community college graduation.

Ayesha will be 32 or 33 years old when she takes her Senior Portraits she’ll take them next year for her 4-year college commemoration. She will have a nice headshot in a white silk dress or a drape in Tower Yearbook along with her graduating class of 2014.

Our Esha the soon-to-be college graduate with so many memories of her childhood and difficult adolescent years.

Mom, step-dad Neil, grandmother, a few great-aunts and cousins on Esha’s mother’s side will be so happy for her.

Almost, Christmastime

Almost, Christmastime

I am unwrapping my gift.

Unwrapping [his love] he left in a Christmas stocking with

My name (Ayesha) on it.

Seeing my baby boy for the first time.

I love just hearing my newborn son cry, scream and I love his baby babble.

He is adorable.

As a new mom I get excited I finally have my 1st baby.

Believe me I have goosebumps as I write this poem.

Days after he is born I decide to get 20 Birth Announcements made and to
send them to family and to all my girlfriends.

I sit up in the bed in my private hospital room and I look into my baby boy’s eyes.

I adore his dark cocoa skin that resembles my own and his papa’s.

I vow I will teach him to love himself so he can love the way God made him.

As I look at my newborn son’s face I see a tiny miracle.

He is mine.

Circle of Life

If not for real
allow me to see her in my dream
One single dream
One whole night
Merci for my soul
I know you may know it all
But you don't feel the pain
Of one little man with petty desires
Oh lord
I am hellbound, that I know
Merci for my soul
Make the Dream surreal
With all the fondness
The does not exist anymore
With all the serenity that surpasses all the heavens
Angels playing harps
On the back ground of a moonlight night
With my nayab holding tight
embrace of an ever lasting love
The birth of our ayesha
allow me to kiss her womb
The warmth of a new beginning
The new dawn
Allow me to witness
The whole circle of life
Ayesha as our daughter and nayab as my wife
all her children will be there too
Make it so sureally true
(work in progress)

Psease Let Me Be

Please
Let me be
In a world made by –crazy ,insane, profane me
Perhaps this is where I want to be
Hey I know more than any one of you
She will never be mine
My feeling as well may pass in time
But if it does not, what can I do
Let me ask you- What can you do?
Can someone of u call her right now and say Ashek is crazy about you
I know you all love very so dearly
Believe me I can feel it undoubtedly
I love you all too in my very own way
Forgive me for being frail
And I have only one story to tell
Most of you have your own life
When you are in happiness it does give me immense delight
it reminds me of the most beautiful starlight
Perhaps mine was a fairytale that was never meant to be
Bu then again I want me , nayab and ayesha
May be not in this world , perhaps in paradise
Where my dream shall be real and will remain undemised
