Floating on a rock in an Infinite Space, Drifting with the Whirlpools and Eddies
of the Cosmos, Dancing with the Stars and Space Dust, One with the Light,
Riding High with Infinitudes, Blazing Wild, Blazing Bright, Blazing Fetters to
Shine as the Sun, Riding the Wind toward Infinite Awes, Scintillating like
Fireflies, Dazzling the Ethers, Sparking the Wick of the Eternal Flame,
Oscillating like Bonfires of Majesty, Rising High to Cathedrals of Everlasting Life,
Permeating the darkness with Rays of Gold and Sapphire, Overcoming,
Conquering, Ascending with Emeralds of Wisdom and Jewels that
Dazzle the Mind. I AM the Light, Lucid, Gleaming, Sovereign and Just

The Helderbergs

The trails runs the edge for several miles,
a clifftop walk, it is no great trial,
atop a long precipice of limestone,
where big, black vultures soar, and make their home,
a rugged wall, by ancient peoples known,
so it looms, this stubborn piece of wild.

Atop it a state park has sat for years,
small fences up to calm a parent’s fears,
but you know kids, they’ll always go ahead
and fearlessly peer over that great ledge,
the beauty awes even in their young heads,
like all souls, they’re stirred by the wonder here.

Some metal stairs descend down to the base,
so folks can walk along the smallish caves,
‘hold up the earth’ in a picture they snap,
see Minekill Falls, and walk around its back,
find passageways where Iroquois made tracks,
and Tory soldiers hid in olden days.

It seems so close, you can see Albany,
but when the winds blow you almost believe
that this place is at the edge of the earth,
like some lost land you found after long search,
quite thankful that people have seen the worth
of these tree-clad cliffs in their majesty.

The Phenomenon

Iron oxide
Leads to red beach
Vivid red waves.

Color red beach
Form red algae
Red colored sand.

Paint sky red
Brush by red rays
Red light reflect.

Flash red river
Awes many eyes
Flood by tourist.

The Cheese Wars

It awes me so to stand, pen and paper quivering in my hands;
My solemn river of a mind’s been shaken by the quaking land.
It seems to me worthwhile to mention, the city’s filled with wild tension.
Bands of townsfolk speak with me in quiet, anxious pension.
Beside me sits a clan of in-laws, clad in dampened purple plaid
Who say the conflict rising now is worse than what they’ve ever had.
I feel great sorrow hearing tales of how such tragedy came to be,
A woman to my left so kindly illustrates for me;

“Our culture’s driven further day by day,” she says, “and now we pray
That we shall see it once again. Those thieves are taking joy away.
With us I hope cheese-rights shall stay, with us forever longer
Perhaps ,with luck, those brutes will meet a death by faithful monger.”

It aches my heart to see the passion passing through the south,
And knowing it’s caused bodies piling at the river’s mouth.
The soldiers lay now, mangled bodies in the ancient streets,
It's safe to say that past today, tradition shan’t repeat.
Though it's a shame to say the rights are gone, its sadly true
But through the blue they shall renew; Now Tom, it's back to you!

Background Love

I admire you.
Your eyes, your lips, your hair.
The way your eyes shine when you’re passionate,
or the way your lips turn up into a smile,
so charming it’s alarming.
I admire your walk, as you seem so free.
Your wonder, that awes everyone around.
I see you with others, as you talk so sweetly,
and so calm, I wish it was me.
But I’m only in the background.
Never close enough for you to notice.
I admire from afar,
because I’m only in the background,
loving you from behind the curtain.

Premium MemberWhat Is Up

the world lulled into a waltz

tis blurry who talks the talk

hopscotch scrawls who walks the walk

future visions blow hot and cold

life with no purpose gets mighty old

seems high five awes don’t erase the flaws

lessons with no plot get no applause

lackluster society doesn’t connect the dots

this dilly-dally world tarnishes the bot

gumption and prudence still adrift

mankind’s journey a repetitive tiff

repeat after me, life’s still a gift

A Song Never Written a Ballet Never Sung

Although familiar
It still was strange
the blacksands
of the riverbed
we're. the purest
Nuggets of gold
We're dull and unseen
til my gloved hands
Found them
Beauty the gems
that shall that shine
a brilliant sparkle
a envious glistening
Shall make awes
and shall smiles

Drones contested in the fields
Buzzy Birds that flow
In challenge
and obstacle
Who shall be champion
To have trophy
and brag to those
who wish to be
Centered in the spotlight

Connie's The Women Without A Ticket

I sit at a bar, starring at other couples
I admit I had a few
No, not relationships
But a few beers to ease the pain
Today's not any different
I keep starring at the couple across the bar
There's chemistry
A subject that's foreign to me
He keeps kissing her neck
And her eyes sparkle wide, she plays the role
And I become incessant
Why can't that be me
Why can't I have affection
Where's my ticket
I see the bartender walking by
He's wearing a pair of tight-fitting jeans
My mouth awes and gapes
How I wish I catch a fly
Or receive me a free pass
On his train, thru and thru
Yet should he ponder about my baggage

Note-For today's exercise, I did go to a bar. And drank And drank. And toasted a poem I wanted to say. I write wild without inhibitions, quickly, and without reservation. Yes it reads like a confession because it is.

Premium MemberAll Is Love

Feeling by life prosecuted
'Cause our aura is polluted
Time's now we gently put on pause
Egoic thoughts to soul unsuited

Where we choose to dwell is life's cause
Love determines all divine laws
Reclaim now bliss that throbs within
Behold how touch of God's hand awes

Simple is the way to begin
Cave of heart's open, go therein
Let love distil every desire
Ignite innocence, exhume sin

Entwined with love, we never tire
Save God, there's nothing we aspire
Ceasing to resist, we're a mist
Vibrant, aglow, our soul's afire

Dear Soul

Dear Soul,
If you sought the owl,
You would know
each Hour greets you,
You would find perfect gifts
in short days are the same with long kinds
Then you would wake, in a hail of their infinite awes.

Dear Soul,
If you sought out the Sun,
to teach you You,
You would know the bloom
and luminance will situate in you
You would mirror their travels through your pulse,
Then you would yearn for yourself.

Dear Soul,
If you sought out the moon,
to sing you love
You would see love sprout,
in all ticking Earth’s core as one earth,
You would see Sky’s eyes testify to this,
by their winks each night,
Then you would love to bloom
In textures, you have termed opaque daily.

Dear soul,
If you sought Sky’s Twinkies
in their birth,
You would hearken hymns they chant,
You would hold their sacred scrolls,
Then
you would discern yours.
