Spectacles

Blinking dazedly, she drifts through the roads
Sometimes a light sparkles and then it fades
Her eyes view the world
Like an astigmatic sees the lights on the street
What does she want?
The clear young girl lost her sight.
Clarity moved away for hazy views.
A prescription so dearly needed.
Hospital ques seem endless.
The ultimate view seems forever beyond her grasp
And thus she loses her balance.
Arms flailing to catch on and feel,
She wonders if this is all her life would be.

Missed Opportunity

Curiosity
Astigmatic lens of age
Enlightenment skewed

Automatic Astigmatic Amagmatic Amended Assignment

I was standing on the floor of relief
Yes, I'am living by only God's grace
No matter my placement I'm in agreement
Yes, I shall, I will be a winner in this race

Now to the best of my knowledge
I am incognito
Place my spirit and soul on the shelf
There's nothing left, been cleansed of my regrets

Somethings are happening
Everything is probables...
I've done the improvable
I am on A.......
Automatic Astigmatic Amagmatic Amended Assignment

I was kneeling down in my daily prayer
And I realized finally, Lord God that you're here
You are around me, inside me, you've reviled me
You're awesome mighty, mighty savior

Now to the best of my knowledge
I am ingogneto
Place my spirit and soul on the shelf
There's nothing left, been cleansed of my regrets

Somethings are happening
Everything is probables...
I've done the improvable
I am on A.......

Hippie At 50

you've got lined, leathery face,
astigmatic eyes well in place
behind what your generation
calls lennon bifocal sensation.

you still got a patch of dark hair,
but a closer, careful look there,
roots the tint of stainless spoon,
you need another dye job soon!

Hippie

Man, you've got deeply lined, leathery
                       face
   with blurred, astigmatic eyes well
                    in place
          behind what your older
                  generation
      calls the Lennon eyeglasses
                   sensation.

Well, you still got your shoulder-length,
                    dark hair;
ah, but a slower and closer look
                       there,
gray roots the color of stainless-steel
                      spoon;
        you'll need another dye job
                    very soon!

                                              astigmatic , eidetic
                                                       memory,

                                         inboxed rivalry, blogged
                                                        anxiety,

                                     chasing blank bleeps of rare
                                                  dot com glory!

Muhammad Ali's Dancing Disclaimer

The blinding speed of his fists and feet
made all his fastest foes flat-footed

as around the target of his jabs
he swirled and danced, he flew and flitted.

Today he limps, wobbles and dodders
much slower than an arthritic snail,

with astigmatic eyes he peers and squints,
much like a cross-eyed, sleepless quail.

Of his bloated ego, giant belts,
     his chest-thumping, his blabber-mouthing,

they were mere media hype and hoopla,
          he says, for commercial packaging.

What the fans saw wasn't what they got,
but they made him boxing's wealthiest,

"I'm among the grittiest, " he says,
"But, maybe for now, the world's greatest !"
