I used to jump from aeroplanes
Naked
With nothing
But a parachute
A prayer
And a pair of Doc Marten boots
I've landed in some strange places
Once in a chair
Once or twice in the mud
A Woman once
I said will you?
She said no!
But she meant yes
I guess?
One time I fell through a roof
And landed in someone's bed!
The husband wasn't very pleased
I can't repeat what he said
But I learned a few new words
Once I fell into a hole
Then I realised someone had died
I couldn't wait to get out
As shouted'',Help!!!!''.
I fell in a well
Well that's another story
To tell
I even landed in a stolen car
But I didn't get far
I once dropped into a giant cooking pot ouch!!
Boy, it was hot!
One time in a church
The Vicar said ''Do you''?
I said I do
Two sugars no milk, please
I was awarded a medal, with a pin
But it gave me an infection
And ended up in a hospital bed
Got really ill and had to stay in
I had to stop parachuting
But I still have my Doc Marten boots
Don't dare tell you where I hanged them from
Ahh, life's full of surprises
I think, I'll buy a Army tank
See where that gets me.

One has no more fuel left in tank,
One more dare not give army tank,
With little air in tyres
Bravado of West tires,
Cracks seem to show in NATO rank.

Poet’s note: New Zealand’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern has announced her resignation: ‘I’ve no more fuel in the tank’, she says. Germany, worried of Russian reprisal, is scared of supplying battle tanks to Ukraine. After 11 months of war that still rages, everyone seems to be tired of it mentally and materially. West seems to fight a proxy war at Ukraine’s cost, the latter literally left in lurch.

On my porch,
La Cucaracha appears
creeping like an army tank prying,
his long antennae used for spying
this cockroach doesn’t belong in my world
“Hey, you’ll die tonight!”
repulsive insect,
colored a liver yellow
Roaches can live without heads.
when he dies...it’s all or nothing
fearless is a word that describes this bug
I warned him to go away
Has he earned the right to live with impunity...hmmm
God makes him too!
Let him be and give him his freedom
Squashed, flattened, splattered
any word will do

Menacing dark clouds
Sky covered in gray shawl
Sun peaks through then gone
Hope does not linger
Rain will continue
Mountain ridge of
Army tank green
Light soft beauty
Crown of dark clouds
Beheld gift
Of beauty
For moment
Dampness
Covers
Fog
