Approbate Poems | Examples

Lily By the Stem

Lily, light and frilly,
On the may day break;
She mounts upon the hill
Engulfed by the morning dew,
In gaeity she blossoms wide and fair,
Beset upon the breast,
Of yellow, green distended bed.

Oscillating with the glorious wind,
Pleased to be a fleeting flower;
Neither deploring nor resenting,
It's petite existence,
Coming to approbate, life is short but fair,
Gradient, soft and delicate,
A momentary dream in tune.

The Visitor

With cunning hid the jealous intent
a question by sly originate
and sow forth a miscreant deed
distorted doubt of eternity

By a whispers rumor insidious implement
in covetous reach obfuscate
the trickled poison that some may heed
and so it becomes their property

Be thee now so short lived

And damned to eternal reticent
shall fears conniving attest to approbate
cut the vein of love and let trust bleed
upon deaths arrogance enthroned anxiety

Bring to ridicule life's defendant
forswear the enemy, the enemy reprobate
or by chance decision should intercede
and reopen the eyes of humanity

Be thee now so short lived

For only love
lay deep in this tomb
and only love
shall resurrect

The Forgotten

The Forgotten ?

To live with this conscious contusion
and forget how babies cry

Become so untouched by horror
commonplace a communion with nothing

Care less for hunger
and wish the lacerations pestilent

Abjure the reminder
and seek instead disjunction so cognitive

Every scream drowning
in the approbate applause of spectators

By percentage defame intelligence
and baluster half-whit

Better to forget how babies cry
and how a child's innocence
can be turned into cold splattered meat

Better to recount such heroic deeds
and send the fools battalion to complete them

All laid to burials garden, the disregarded
faceless unnamed the forgotten

And for a price
no soulless may seek redemption

Such a carnage is wrought in the heart
and may brand us all unforgiven

Echoes still the terror
impudent inflicted the weak transgressor

But dragged all to quivering knee
with its spike so driven by denial

Better to forget how babies cry
and how a child's innocence
can be turned into cold splattered meat

'sleep'

Sleep, it is a route
But a few are those that know it end.
A preservative detour to-
A remote sanctum.

Escape from contest
For a fleeting hero it is.
Whom's gate is in trance
A vain path to haven brief.

Immortal against mortality-
It is fancied.
Eases the day's turmoil-
On the Calvary it thrusts them.

But against this fancy,
a mere hoodwink of mind it is,
Which the feeble approbate to-
Bury cowardice

When I'M Gone Remember This Tome

Stephen not Steve when I am gone
A gentle man with a backbone
A sense of humour that jealous patrons bemoan
A un-pretentious faith that hath constance shown
An innovative mindset that others copy then hone

A diligent worker; an example for dilatory employees to emulate
A constant companion when my mate's fealty did degenerate
Civic-minded patriot even when government was stagnate and dispassionate
Son who learned from his mistakes gaining his parents approbate
Exhibiting a wisdom above his scholastic endeavours that others did educate
