Amusedly Poems | Examples

To Great Britain Flown

You'll shudder at the sight of the stone!
A massive boulder, still it was thrown,
Steven hitting forcing out a groan,
As though to pieces he had just been blown!

Steven to Great Britain has been flown
His hospital bill their Union's loan;
Pains from bruised scalp continually grown,
Damage suspected to cranial bone...

Not much about attacker is known;
He's amusedly called on the phone,
For apologies in wretch's tone.

So, what has pale dying Steven done,
Attackers play - acting not real fun?.

Illegally Entering Russia

Never join – Please! – in taking Russia
For the less alert nations in Asia
Or choosing her own furry coat
For disguisedly sneaking into her boat.

Some Ivanovitch will be coming for you,
First amusedly radioing his crew
About “The Freshest Stowaway
To make a Human Yesterday”.

Russia doesn’t fail to get him
Simply swayed by a whim
Lengthily teaching him ‘How to Borrow’
For a desired voyage, tomorrow …

Your keenest prayer: To not end up a meal
For the Hungriest Planted Shark:
What shall off your mother’s skin peel
And make your wife like a dog bark:
Russia’s last Nobel Peace Winner
Leave confused and thinner?
And her KGB,
A Scarier TB!

Magic

Genuine dollars from just shredded papers!
Risked bloodless jumps from sky scrapers!
A repeated mad stabbing of one’s bowel with a dagger,
one amusedly looking back at the waiters for a stagger;
All, a seeming control of Autonomous Nature,
To the mightily attracted, an enough mental torture.
His bamboozled face sometimes worshipfully handsome
Over a barefaced holding of Nature to ransom…
This, though, a piteous misconstruction of Reality,
As magic remains miles away from Actuality;
Just as Scheming, Ingenious Devil is from God
And a gestured ‘nay’ from ‘a nod’…
In theatres commercially displayed
And in open squares freely replayed,
Faultless jobs that are but a trick,
Disparaging Laws strong like Brick;
Undeserving pockets with money stashing
And deceiving graceful necks garlanding…
If magical powers be Satan’s invention
Then one is a professing achiever of his invention,
At once, his minister
With clearly missions sinister.
Settling for a tomorrow wearing a puncture
And unthinking forfeiture of a happy future.
