IMANI: Kwanza Thoughts For Today
seeds of faith must grow,
fertile soil germinates faith;
Be that soil of faith:-
We must live our faith...
We must be our faith's heartbeat...
Let's blossom daily...
Faith is for living,
Let's plow rows of faith;
Fruitfully growing:-
N.B.: Amani na upendo;
Be a spiritual rock,
Rolling onward in your faith:-
P.S.: May my Kwanza clusterings,
Tease your AI ponderings;
NI awareness rooted:-

Peace be upon us
Peace be upon them
What we wish for us
We wish for them.
God made man and men turned into animals
Survival is for all not only for the fittest
Peace here peace there
Let’s take it everywhere
Let’s live here where love dwell
The love that is beyond the human nature
The nature of selfishness
Peace be upon people.

Desharah was in the nursery with
The babies. Early afternoon. All was
Calm cool copacetic in their home.
Everybody seemed content.
At Amadeus home his wife Teased
Him. The baby started to cry.
Amani said, "Amadeus go see about
Your son." Amadeus slipped into
The next room and cuddled and
Cooed to Damian Amadeus Hakim
Junior until he fell back into his
Baby dreams. They eventually
Named the baby Amadi. Then
Shortly changed the name again
Finally settling on AJ. Acronym for
Amadeus Junior. Then young father
Smiled at the sight of his sleeping son
Then quietly left the room.

Fuga kuku mechagua, kuku wa yetu asili,
Mayai wajizolea, kula jenga wako mwili,
Kuku kwa yai tokea, nayo ndani yake mwili,
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.
Kaja kosa kuja taga, kisa hakuna uzao,
kwa mikogo kajikaga, kitafuna chote leo,
badae takuja bwaga, na sipate kimbilio.
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.
Sitake ionja sumu, kwa maziwa siyonayo,
Hospitali kugumu, takosekana tibayo,
Kodoa nalo jukumu, uone yarefushwayo,
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.
Kisa moto kuwashia, sitoe yote makuti,
Kivuli kakupotea, na amani sije keti,
Usambe sikukwambia, sing’amue tofauti,
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.
Liuza maziwa pupa, leo ndama twatabika,
Tabika kitoka kapa, maziwa yanamashaka,
mashaka kwa zao pupa, livyojalia Rabuka
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.
Wanotumia wa moza, vya kwao sijevimwaga,
Nia mifugo ongeza, mayai tele kitaga,
Ya ndani mekueleza, mfanowe nawe iga,
Mayai sije maliza, kaja kosa kuja taga.

Amani the peaceful warrior
A woman who risked her life
To save mothers and daughters from the notorious war crimes
Deep in the jungles of Congo
The continuing human rights violence
The rape, the discrimination and the children armies
The non stop crisis that seemed to worsen with each dawn
Amani the peaceful warrior established safety homes for the victims
Through varying trainings the mothers and daughters were taught farming, knitting, cooking, simple medical training, arts and crafts and many more
With counseling she gave back the victims the power they had lost
Their smiles grew, their hearts shone
A rose garden was planted to show this victory
And as the smiles grew, so did it
They heard of Amani and in one of her rescue missions, she was captured
Her hands and legs were tied
He said, "these hands have to go"
To humiliate her and her course
To destroy her and her dreams
But even as she left, her legacy lived beyond the pain and the torture.
