It’s the Great British Bake Off
And I’ve got to week six
But I think it’s all over since
They’ve dissed my bread mix.
They said it was rubbish
When I baked my plum duff
And Mary said my cake
Was sandy, coarse and rough.
There’s a slinky little blonde
Who’s giving Paul the eye
And I think it must be working
Cos she’s more than getting by.
Her bagels were quite dodgy
Her bottom soggy and wet
Yet he said they were delicious
Definitely teacher’s pet
They’re going to push me out
Deep down this I know
But I’ll take the b’s with me
If and when I go
I’ve planned my revenge
With my Kamikaze pudding dish
With TNT and dynamite
And petrol, just a splish.
I’ve made my own shrapnel
With glass and tacks and nails
To ensure there’s a back up
If my pudding mixture fails,
So, when they tell me that
It’s time that I went
I’ll push the detonator
And blow up the bloody tent.
There’ll be weeping and wailing
And lots and lots of tears
But that’s one Bake off episode
They’ll not forget for years.
I’m the Kamikaze chef
Divine Wind of the Aga Range
Apres Moi le deluge
After me things will change

Happy birthday, Aga Briones,
High school classmates love vacation;
Many of them just reminisce
With old friends at the reunion.

You are so fine,
I wish you were mine
And being a christian, I know you're not after fornication
Your eyes, speak of deep contemplation
I believe, you value of love, fidelity, & laughter
The same things, I'm after
So, why don't we just tie the knot
'Cause I love you, alot

The flotilla of ivory sculpture on catamaran of clouds,
sailing on the singing spring air in the cerulean sky,
turned to a menacing fleet bringing sudden scare now
in the shadow of invisible danger, changing our lives.
Entangled in the self-centric social web of seeking life,
the separation of footprints on track of changing times,
enhanced perforce at the dictate of the survival instinct,
cracks in connectivity widen never likely to close aga
in.
The sunburst splendor of the dawning sky I still see,
the rays of hope etching golden lines on gloom reach me.
It won’t be long when the black clouds will melt away,
so it’s time now to revere the ravaged nature we neglect.
Enwrapped in the collapsed wings of the caged bird,
the confined psyche crumbles in the abyss of isolation,
with spirit held high it’ll rise fortified from debris of twenty
after the tormenting tide ebbs after times like these.

Grandfather clocks
And dark furniture.
Grandfather clocks and dark furniture.
A big wood fire with stone surround.
Wooden floors that creek when you walk.
And animal skins for rugs with big leather coaches to lounge on.
This is the picture of the dream in my head.
An aga stove with back boiler for winter.
A ten seater wooden kitchen table.
The dogs in front of the stove by the fire.
Double glazed windows with snow outside.
A pine tree forest, casting shadows on the ground.
A red squirrel knocking on the window for a nut and a crust of bread.
A cast iron pot cooking on the aga
A kettle whistling its merriment
Hot chocolate and frosty windows.
Under floor heating, toasty on bare feet.
Candles glimmering in dark corners.
A red rose in the snow
A symbol of love waiting to grow.
The green house is protected
Vegetables just beginning to shoot.
The hens are snuggled up in the straw
Under a warm red glow
This is the picture of the dream in my head.

Umaga, nakikita kang naglalakad,
Tanghali, akala nila ika'y hibang;
Hapo at gutom na ngunit nangangaral.
Ang totoo, nagreremedial class ka Ma'am!
Sino ka ba? Ika'y dakila't marangal!
Hapon, ika'y 'di man pansin ng lipunan,
Subalit kapiling mo'y mga upuan;
Habang ang pluma mo'y pinagsasalitang
"Bukas, bata ito ang matututunan!".

In the Kitchen
This is about a particular drawing though I wish not to disclose which one exactly I
mean for it matters so much that it matters no longer because my friends Arthur and
Bim watch over their kitchen rest their bones now and fly in spirit together
In the Pembrokeshire winds
Little squiggles on paper of lovers drawn with life-long experience to master the craft
of surreal expression what is and may yet be like a curious child expressing the world
and it holds so much description of how Pablo adorned the evolution of
Genuine genius
Like the outlined lovers who hung framed on the panel the Giardellis had eloped and
spent their lives painting collaging and sculpting in the former Warren School House
where they played ping pong on a table like soul mates’ embrace in the gallery with
Pablo adorning their life
Art work is what it means to the viewer ink drawn on canvas beholding the meaning
depicted straight into the heart and the soul when they join essence symbiosis along
On a stone wall over the Aga it had lived as they had
Breakfast with Picasso each every day

Old Bill (written by by Steven Cooke)
Old Bill died today
He was a grumpy old sod said Mrs. Grey.
Fool thought me,
For you do not know what memory is
He was a decorated soldier who,
Courted beautiful women
Argued with royalty
And dined with the Aga Khan
For Oscar Wilde and Keats was his tipple,
But women cheated him
And his money cheated him.
And finally time cheated him
All gone now,
Just silence echoed by a distant memory,
Interrupted by Coronation Street, and Eastenders
Is this the legacy, of modern Life.
For Bill, all that is left is the shell
And now that has gone.
Yes he was a grumpy old man
But Modern life too will be cheated by time,
And what memories will it leave,
And what will people say about you Mrs. Grey
