Simply Put, Touched

"Simply Put, Touched"

Simply put,
nothing is ever
truly simple

from the get-go
the process
is complex

Love
or
not

in between
the middle road
of black and white

the colours
like codes
turned on, fire up

the frequency
needs to be
finely tuned

the lessons
heard hard
on the inside

learned

without
the constant
external braying

of trolls
their silver bullets
and bloodied pitchforks

solace
is discovered
inside the reflection

of pools
their drowned
broken treasures

discovered
along
unknown paths

their rippling surfaces
like bodies of shining satin
touched

under gaze
of guarding
emerald forests

shining canopies
held
touched

"Gotta get away, we live in a realm
Still I gotta break up and out of this hell
But, man, that frequency's so low
Damn, that frequency's so low"

Premium MemberThe Riveting Woodpecker

Gleaming golden ball revealing pines
Dark silhouettes against the jet-streaked sky
Roosters crow the sun up as doves coo refrain
Life seems simple salubrious as fledglings fly

That ole woodpecker rivets once again
What a way to live his simple savory time here
I often wonder how his sturdy head survives
From one oak tree and then to over there

He has moved, his riveting continues
I wonder if he finds food, is that why
He in that tree lingers, do night owls cringe
Wanting to screech, spread silky wings and fly

The cool of the morning feels so spot-on and dry
Soon strong sunny star will drive us inside
Seems simmering summer arrived early
Here's hoping it doesn't hang-on and abide

SURVEYOR OF THE STORM

Today’s early afternoon is somber-gray.
Red, white, blue, cherry willow, stars.

A single lightning bolt, in downward zigzag,
striking, alongside the bark of a crépe myrtle.*

Loose leaves sliding down oil-slicked street.
Goodnight skies rise into the light.

Verve-quake of thunder. I saw clouds rise and fall,
flutter by. Chimes and metallic owls, mirrors and bells

keep those pesky ‘peckers at bay, but will they survive
if the wind takes them away? (They did)

 Yesterday’s moonlight
will be drenched behind midnight-clouds.

Spectacular sun-days orchestrate Spring hues
as wings splish-splosh in flooding bath tubs.

     Well, I imagine so…
as faith remains.

Sonar's Song

Get on your groove,
‘Cause Sonar’s on the move.
Hey, hey, all the way,
Put on your dancing shoes!

Won’t stop dancing
But to get your name.
Hey baby come with me,
Let's bust out to some tunes!

“This place is the party,
‘Cause I’m with you!”

Sonar 1: (verb) To send out
Good vibes around the world,
And end up bringing in,
The prettiest coolest girl.

2: (adj.) Possessing the singular
Characteristic and quality,
Which attracts the utmost elite,
In the female psychology.

To know he is the coolest guy,
Is a fact you can’t deny,
Because he sings and dances,
DJ’s and romances.

They can’t keep him off the court,
No, his plans he won’t abort.
He’s sonaring and searching,
For that special person.

What’s her name?
That’s why he’s in the game.
To find out who, and then BOOM!!
When these two are through -

No more high school man,
This is his PHD baby!!!
Oh yeah, ah hah, oh yeah!
Looking for the Sonar Man.

Beep beep… beep beep…
Beep beep… beep beep…

From Form To Formless

Each form is a form of His form
Both form and formless are His norm
He chooses form as well formless, to get you to reform
He yields to a form even when a form gets deform

With such creation of forms, He does perform
With such ease, one may design Him in free-form
With various forms, He upholds a message to inform
With all such forms, His form is uniform

He is the only One to have the omniform
Though He is also of multiform
To realize Him, all religions are platform
Fact can be realized with a brainstorm

He cares for each being, even smaller than a tiny worm
To drive you towards formless, He takes form like cruciform
He is the form of formless, ultimately one may conform
From form to formless is the ultimate, one may transform!

NOTES: the state or quality of having every form. — omniform, adj.
Characterized by an unconventional or variable form: their own freeform teaching methods.

Cruciform = Shaped like a cross; cruciate.

On Gelid Night

"On Gelid Night" by David Hart
On gelid night, prone amidst this small sea of
  faineant coverlets,
A nimeity of somnolent susurrations--
Bombinate and pierce the greyblack night.

Still, the foundling lies on bilious pillow
A radiator's dolorous tintinnabulation
Harmonizes a fan's punctilious paean.

On this gelid night,
A languid pillow kisses this naive cheek.

Vocabulary
Bilious-ill-tempered;  Foundling-lost child;  nimiety-excess (n);
dolorous-sad; tintinnabulation-tinkling sound; susurrations(n)-whispers; faineant(adj)-
idle; gelid-icy cold; bombinate-buzz or hum; punctilious-precise; paean- a song of praise
