Dappled –gray above pausing to rush down
Reminding me of me
I turn my face away from you
Please don’t remind me of me
The darker side I try to hide
Beneath my smiles and sunny days I feel your abruption
Cloaked in steel eyes and haunted thoughts
Dark nights I wait for your falling
Somewhere I can feel the bittersweet pain
Bring on your rain…
Bring on your rain…
I grasp for warmth somewhere
Only to feel alone
Let me leave this earthly place with some feat
This paper I write on has comforted me for so long
I know now I could never be without its trust
Drawn to your channel of solace
Bring on your rain…
Resting here in the dark
