What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. ~Helen Keller
She wore blue checked gingham and her world of daffodils and daisies was the kingdom in which I lived for a season. Like the soft breeze of a zephyr the diaphanous veil of my lover enveloped me and caressed my soul with a measure of gentleness. Whenever I am troubled by life's pressures I remember that gentle measure, and the diaphanpus zephyr of love's soft cleansing power.

your poem is both eloquent and exquisite filled with graceful images (the soft breeze of a zephyr and diaphanous veil of my lover). With its subtle beauty, your poem mesmerized the. The last verse gave a special and unique meaning to the word 'zephyr.' Nicely done. Best wishes with the contest, Sara

Checked gingham set an old fashion mood for this poem. The romantic scene with a zephyr softly blowing made this memorable.
