Your Last Day
Ohbard and Pell meet up
over lifetimes and dimensions
for exchanges and conversations:
What will you do
on your last day?
asked Pell
I will continue to be caring
I will continue to be thoughtful
I will continue to help others
be the best they can
and I would continue to be
who I would want to be
if I were they
replied Ohbard
Well I will feast heartily
I will live that last day
with no waste
in fine action
I will race and run
and laugh and shout
I will risk and ride
the tides and winds
through sun and moon
cried Pell
And yet here you remain
stated Ohbard
Well how will I know
when it is my last day?
frowned Pell
until he realised
he’d better start running
