Warming days arrive; woodlands start to sing,
a jaunty tune both suave and filled with flair.
The world awakes to all that's best in spring,
emerging blooms and blossoms everywhere.
Then comes the fevered flush of summer sun,
to feel the brush of burning winds go by.
I marvel when the drooping day is done
as pastel portraits paint the western sky.
But summer bows to autumn's gorgeous gowns
as she lays down her ribboned, silken folds;
I cherish bewitching scarlets mixed with titian browns,
rich-coppered yellows, purples, oranges. and golds.
