You Saw Me- the Real Me
my path was leading toward
and isle of perpetual sorrow
i suffered in silence-
(endless weeping)
but i am a wounded woman
craving remedies...
always listening carefully for
voices to ease my need for peace
~
-YOU SAVED ME THAT NIGHT-
bestowed an innocence i was
craving,
gave a mile when an inch was
needed
for you are my immortal salvation,
the epitome of redemption;
i am lost in the sorrow of letting go,
yet
grateful for the threshold to
happiness
~a threshold you built by hand~
a myriad of emotions flow,
and time stands alone with
the ineffable stars whispering
“i love you…”
and...
i love you too
i saw black
and
you saw me
for the peace you gave
set
me
free
