You walked out and left me Didn’t even say goodbye Darling you cannot see The silent tears I cry We all have our ups and downs I’m sorry if I was wrong Now I am all alone I just wish that I knew why Your voice was like a balm So soothing to my soul Now there is silence I’m feeling oh so low I stare out of the window I long to see your face Miss being in your arms Crave your warm embrace My heart skips a beat when the phone rings Oh how I long to hear from you But it was just the divorce lawyer I guess we’re really through Just want to tell you darling My love for you is still real I can’t switch off my emotions Or stop feeling how I feel The door to my heart is still open wide For only you have held the key You are my one and only love And still mean everything to me 29th September 2015

longest time friend. You've just exhibited to the highest quality exactly what I have missed in here for months. Your lines are so exciting and your words are each having that second hand of drawing me back to them again and again and again irrespective of how many times I have gone through them. Its nice to be home and you are part of the reason I have this refreshing feeling. A definite 7. Cheers!

I am sure there are many that can relate Vera - thankfully it is pure fiction for me - I was feeling sad when I wrote it... it was the day of a lovely friend's funeral ... over 1000 attended !! The line about the 'voice' is in memory of him:-) hugs jan xx

Jan, you have written a sad heartfelt write. When you loose some one you love it can been so devastating. You captured that emotion very well. Everthing you write is good fiction or nonfiction, funny or serious. Great job!:-) Alexis 7

A love not reciprocated can hurt....probably the worst pain known to the human heart....or one of the worst. You wrote this well, dear. Sending hugs to you.

Not having closure is one of the hardest things to face in life. It keeps the emotions rolling back like video on loop. Anyone who has not had that chance will be able to appreciate this write Jan! X Janet

Loss of a divorce will send those who are still in love in mourning. If one looses his beloved to God there is hope of an afterlife , but when you loose someone to divorce, there is only regret, pain, and probably the loss means, you lost the love of that special someone forever. Its hard to deal with, but there's always a better plan for anyone if we believe . I know its fiction Jan, your muse must be in mourning after something, and the outcome is a sad one yet romantic and wanting,

When anyone you love is gone whether a day or forever it's the silence within the space you know at once, no sound of movement no sound of voice..your line. Now there is silence..says it all

Jan, this is such a wonderful write. I know that only someone who has been touched by the loss of love can understand the depth of feeling in that void. Mine took a long time to heal...but gave me a voice I never knew I had. Just keep writing!

You depict the situation very well Jan. When one leaves the other doesn't know what hit them. The feelings of love don't go away even though they were hurt.

Jan, you have a delightful style. I am sure I have said before that there is innocence and clever mixed together. A real look into the mind of someone who is a sweetheart. I hope you do realize that for me to read such work is a great pleasure. I have to read this to some of the people I am with right now because it is just wonderful. We also know that we can only control ourselves and not others. It is sometimes so disappointing that it hurts so bad. But alas, what can we do?

Oh Duke your kind words fill me with such joy. I still see myself very much as a fledgling writer but I am spreading my wings and flying high - I get so much comfort and pleasure from writing and it is helping me through the darkest period of my life - thankfully for me this is a fictional write :-) hugs Jan xx
