You Float In My Tear

I see you float drenched in my tear, when my heart melts, flows like a stream. You drift away to niche not near, at the edge of my broken dream. As specks of dream drown in despair, I see you float drenched in my tear. My silent sorrow I can’t share, when the fall of bleak clouds I hear. You have been so near yet so far, your shadow lies on my moist eyes. I see you float drenched in my tear, where my love’s disowned debris lies. You let sunrise splendor pass by, pangs of my heart I could not bear. When night descends with weeping sky I see you float drenched in my tear. ___________________ April 6, 2022 Syllable count : 8 per line (HMS) Contest : A Brian Strand Premiere Choice Sponsored by : Brian Strand
